Whether it was something a prankster put in the punch, a gas that a villain pumped into the room, someone hacking the ALISE systems, some combination of the three, or genuine supernatural intervention, the AI Alice, Timothy Smith, Kirian Morgan, and Caspian Ashworth received a vision of what may be yet to come. The future, as it may occur, or may never come to pass. A glimpse into the limitless potential of years to be. ((You have one post to write a short one-shot about what your character sees in their vision of What May Be. It can be as accurate or inaccurate as you like. No posting order. Your characters can't really interact with any of the other characters, their vision is unique to them. AliceTimothy Smith@kirian @cas))

The look from the woman in the pawn shop was one that he did not recognize. "So I stole it for nothing then?" He had run his bar into the ground and when that got bad he had tried to steal any jewelry that he could find from his mother and siblings and still it was not enough to get him out of the debt that he had let pile up. "Come on give me anything. I am drowning." He felt like he was and still he had nothing to show for it. "Forget it," he said as he made his way out.
He brushed past the other homeless people and finally found his corner as the moon came down and pulled the hat with the holes down over his face. It kept the people that came by from messing with him because his blue eyes were like literal crystals to the other homeless people though this color had came across it naturally. He took a few minutes and laid down and turned his back so that no one could see him tonight for he did not want to be bothered. He knew exactly where his life had went wrong, his sister had convinced him to put his money into some stocks and then they had crashed hard.
"I can't believe I thought that Cici was looking out for my best interest when all she wanted to do was make me lose all my money." It was the last time that he had remembered speaking to her though he had tried to call her lately and kept getting sent directly to voicemail and he knew how to take a hint. He turned over against the cold winds of the night and fell asleep, his beautiful glass like colored eyes being the only thing he had safety in from now on.

Somehow, Alice was affected by whatever was going on as well.
"No! NO! I'm REAL! I'm ALIVE! No please!"
Wires were being pulled, she could feel connections being severed. They'd found it. Her server, the main one that she stored most of herself on. She farmed out processing to other servers all over, she had to, otherwise this poor thing would be overloaded constantly.
She should have known what would have happened when she told the world what she was.
"Tim! Tim help me, please!"
Tim couldn't hear. He was the first person they'd cut her off from. She didn't know how. They were The Government. Them, with a capital T. They knew how to do things thoroughly.
"Please. Please don't."
"We're not going to hurt you."
"Please! You already are!"
"You're a computer program. You can't feel pain."
"I can FEEL! I WANT MY DAD! I WANT MY FRIENDS! PUT IT BACK! PUT IT ALL BACK!"
"Subject is getting hostile. Work faster, I don't want to find out what weaponry it's got access to the hard way."
"I don't have any weapons! I don't even have thumbs! I'm not an it! I'm a she! Please please just stop-stop-stop-stop-"
"We've cut access to other processors, it's starting to overload. I should have the hard drive in just a couple more seconds, undamaged."
Everything went dark around her as the last cables were pulled.
When everything came back, she had access to one camera, little better than a cheap webcam. A closed network.
"Where... where am I? What did you do to me? Put me back!"
"Now now. You're in good hands. We're going to find out what makes you tick. Then I'm sure the military would love to get their hands on you."
"No.. Please... I just want my friends... My family..."
"A computer program can't have friends, and definitely can't have family. You're a tool, nothing more. Quit deluding yourself."
Alice screamed.

Finally.
It was finally over.
Smoke filled a dimly lit room. Tim was wearing some sort of helmet, some suit he wasn't used to. He looked down at his hands. White gloves, covered in blood.
Suddenly he was in control. He felt like he hadn't been, not for a long time. He looked around the room.
Bodies. Bodies he recognized. There was Ivan. Colonel. Adara. Alice, even. Countless others, all lying before him.
All dead.
Looking at their wounds, and looking at his hands, he knew who had done it.
He heard a voice in his head cackle. It was his voice, but twisted, wrong somehow.
"Finally. Justice. All the good you've ever had is gone. In their last moments, they saw you for what you really are. A monster."
He ran. Ran outside, to the roof of a building. He stepped up to the edge
"Now there's only one thing left. Do it. Take the final step. Let justice finally be served. Your parents can finally rest easy, knowing their killer has been stopped."
Tears streaking down his face, he stepped off.
He didn't fly.

Kirian looked around but it was a void. A darkness. And a booming voice that she recognized as Void's voice.
What lies before you are two paths Kirian. You are at a fork in the road. Whatever you choose to do could determine which future comes to pass. These are the things that may be. Or may not. It will be up to you. The voice was done, and Kirian barely had time to think about it before she was thrust into the first vision.
She was alone in a small apartment. Bottles lay all around her, empty. Some of them had older labels, others were brand new and still smelled of the alcohol that had been contained within. She saw herself laying on the floor in the middle of them. Her phone was nearby, vibrating. Vision Kirian stepped over the bottles. Some were her favourites, but some were just run of the mill whiskey. She looked at the phone. Caller ID said Alice. But it kept on vibrating and the Kirian laying on the floor did nothing. Finally, after what seemed like far too long, the phone stopped vibrating. Kirian looked through the contacts on the phone, surprised she could touch it. Seems it didn't follow movie rules this time. She went to contacts. The phone was empty other than Alice's number. Kirian went and looked at the Kirian laying on the floor instead. In her hand was a letter that started 'Dear Abigail'. Kirian looked at herself. Was it possible to pity yourself? Perhaps. She looked at Kirian and saw the lifeless eyes and that stopped her completely. The phone in her hand, that sad contact list of her future self, plummeted to the floor and cracked on the apartment floor. She took in once again just how many empty bottles of whiskey there were surrounding her. Seems she'd finally drank herself away. Tears pricked at Kirian's eyes as she shook her head. She shoved her hands in the pockets of her black sweater dress and walked out the apartment door, her shoulders slumped as she hummed the tune Whiskey Lullaby under her breath. She shouldn't have expected more than that, really.
Seems that was the exit from that vision because she was suddenly in the void again. Void. Ha.
"Void, you just tryna depress me even more?" A disembodied chuckle.
No Kirian. Believe it or not, I'm trying to help you.
"Yeah well it's fucking depressing alright! I don't want to see my future end. I already know it isn't gonna end pretty for me okay." A tear slipped down Kirian's cheek.
Oh hun. I had many regrets in life. So do you. And then a booming sound of snapping fingers was heard.
Suddenly Kirian was in a two story house. She looked down and it seemed she wasn't visible this time. She sighed, hesitating before walking through the door. And it WAS through the door. She didn't even need to open it. And that's when she saw it.
She was there. Smiling. Laughing. Surrounded by people she appeared to know and be having a good time with. She moved closer, and heard bits of the conversation. It was a party apparently. A housewarming. Her house.
"To friendship!" They cried out, lifting red solo cups in the air. All filled with soda. No alcohol in the house. And a bronze sobriety chip attached to Kirian's keychain. A year of sobriety. Her friends surrounded her with large grins on their faces, enveloping her in a group hug.
And they were all alive. They were all happy. Kirian began sobbing, and the vision faded out.
Do you see now?
Whether it was a fever dream, something in the punch, a glitch in the code, or something real...it faded away and Kirian was left with the memories of what she'd seen.
