Heroes are everywhere, but the city of Astaria, Oregon is a hotspot. It's home to the Aegis, a group of heroes dedicated to protecting the world from superpowered threats. Meanwhile, the sinister Cabal lurks in the shadows, plotting something known only to them. Everyone rises; heroes to defend and protect, villains to oppress and terrorize, and all to their destiny.

The Starlight Silver Mine was once a very productive mine bringing a lot of jobs and prosperity to the area. While the economic prosperity of the area hasn't gone away, the silver veins have largely run out, and the mine is now abandoned.
