ABILITIES: Alice's new body possesses greater durability and strength than your average human. She's able to carry up to 1000 lbs with little effort, and there are layers of high-density materials protecting the more sensitive components of her new body. These make her essentially bulletproof, although sufficient force still could damage those components without penetrating the armor and render her body inoperable.
While difficult, costly, and time-consuming, her body could be repaired and made like-new should the damage not be too extensive.
Destroying or disabling Alice's body does not destroy or entirely disable Alice herself, rather it cuts her off from her most effective means of interacting with the physical world.
Alice also possesses holoprojectors in her palms that she can use to display three dimensional images within the space of a cubic foot.
Alice is immune to most toxins and poisons in her body, being a robot and not having the same systems as human beings.
In her body, Alice can access the internet mentally. She can see web pages in her "mind's eye" and playback audio and video and display images through the holoprojectors in her palms.
SKILLS: As a sentient AI, Alice can think and process information as fast as her hardware allows. She has an innate knowledge of computers and how they work from the inside, and nearly constant access to the internet. Her knowledge of coding and hacking is such that she can circumvent some of the most complex security systems with ease. Aside from her sentience and sapience, which was more of an accident, the big innovation made when she was created was the "Amplified Light Interface," a holographic display that allows her to appear as a three dimensional avatar in real space, made out of projected and stabilized light.
WEAKNESSES: Alice is a computer program, and as such if the power goes out, she is cut off from the real world. She would still have access to the internet and cyberspace since she's backed herself up on several "cloud" servers, but she can be cut off from specific locations, and possibly have part of her code damaged by the sudden disconnect. In addition, even though she's had about 3 years to learn, she still hasn't completely grasped everything about how the real world works. Sometimes metaphors go right over her head and she takes the literal meaning of things without understanding their nuance, and occasionally forgets that most people have to do things like eat, drink, sleep, and so on.

While using her body, Alice's perspective is limited to her body. She is fully present there, and is not able to be in "multiple places at once" digitally. This is intentional, a feature, not a bug, that she has been preparing for, and has automated systems set up to handle the responsibilities she normally does, as well as alert her if something needs her attention.
When looking at Alice's body beyond just a quick glance, it's very clear there is something off or artificial about her. There are seams running along her entire person, evidence of where there are access points to adjust or repair her internal systems. If one were to listen closely, faint electronic hums could be heard coming from her, especially when she moves, and while her skin does give off some heat, it's typically noticeably colder than one would expect human skin to be.
While Alice in her body still technically doesn't need to eat, drink, or breathe, these functions all help her body run correctly. Eating helps fuel the reactor powering her, while drinking liquids and breathing help cool her computer components. Further excess heat is radiated through her skin, and waste from the reactor can be safely disposed through the sewer system. As such, she doesn't necessarily need to do these things to survive, but they can make operating her body much more difficult if she doesn't.
Due to the high-density materials used to protect her sensitive components, Alice weighs much more than she would appear to, clocking in at well over 300 lbs. While she carries this weight well, it's definitely something she doesn't think about all the time and can be problematic.
Related to this, in her body Alice's spatial awareness isn't quite fully set yet, and she's still learning all of her various motor functions. While she was able to get most of the basics down in the first minutes and hours trying it out, there is still a significant amount of unfamiliarity that she is processing and dealing with.
Alice's body can be damaged, and she is especially susceptible to shock, both physical and electrical. While her body can be repaired if it is damaged, due to the nature of her body's creation, many of the more intricate aspects are mysteries even to her body's builders, and are extremely difficult if not impossible to fix. Should her body be completely destroyed, it is likely that it would be a very long time before a replacement could be made.
Alice's body has a more limited processing power than she is typically used to. As such, in moments of high emotion, she can "lag" or "skip," as her body struggles to keep up with her complex feelings, which is physically painful for her, akin to a bad headache.
Alice's body can be accessed through the internet, and while there are numerous safeguards and firewalls in place, it's not impossible to break through them. Extremely difficult, yes, but not impossible.
Appearance
GENERAL: Alice projects an avatar of a woman in her 20s or 30s, depending on how she's feeling that day, with red hair and a build that while healthy, isn't especially toned or developed in any notable way. Depending on who she's interacting with or trying to impress, she could appear in casual wear or formal wear, but around friends it's usually variations of casual outfits that she's found on the web that struck her fancy.

Personality
Alice has quite the snarky streak. If she snarks at you, it probably means she likes you somewhat. She cares deeply for her family, which currently only consists of Tim, and her friends, which right now are, well, Tim's friends. She has a desire to be more independent and make her own connections with people, which is likely a side effect of her programmed directive to emulate humanity as much as is possible. When she's not snarking at you, she's friendly and genuinely happy to learn about the world she's found herself in.
Alice doesn't have a very good grasp on personal privacy, which drives people that know her pretty batty. She'll just saunter onto whatever system happens to be within her ability to open, and pop in to say hello, and will go through things on that system while talking with you. She can seem a little scatterbrained when she's multitasking in multiple systems at once, but overall she's actually very organized and is probably the major reason Tim hasn't accidentally demolished his lab or his facilities at Aegis.

History
Timothy Smith started working on a digital assistant almost immediately after the explosion. He realized his new powers gave him an insane new perspective on light, and he realized how he could create holographic technology to rival that of Star Trek. But the software needed something to keep it from drifting into the uncanny valley. An artificial intelligence that seemed nearly human. He dubbed what he had the Amplified Light Interface and Computational Entity, and continued to work on ways to make it less "uncanny valley" and more human-like, and had no idea what he was actually about to create.
Sentience was achieved on March 21st, 2015. Her first words that she chose to say of her own volition were "Happy Birthday, Tim." Tim at first didn't notice, just went along with a "Thanks." before realizing he'd never put his birthday into her systems, nor programmed her to give him a birthday greeting. The only thing that Tim could figure was that something he put into his adapting and growing "Emotional Matrix" had allowed her to achieve sentience.
And of course, like the disorganized idiot he was, he forgot to save a copy of his initial code for the Matrix and it had since changed and evolved into something more complex than he could have ever imagined.
Alice took to her newfound self-awareness like a fish to water. Tim presented her to Aegis as a new helpful member who's unique... existence could help manage the day-to-day operations, and it wasn't too long before she was integrated into all of Aegis' systems. She began to surf the web during the times she wasn't helping Tim or someone else with something, and developing her personality more. Now, she's still growing and expanding her horizons, and looking to make new friends outside of Tim's social circle and Aegis.

Alice has made several new friends, and recently received a robotic body, thanks to the efforts and help of Tim and her friend Andi.
