....now....
It took a few hours for the cops to realize that the bank heist was just a hoax, nothing had been stolen but all the employees were kidnapped. A call thirty minutes after that however was placed by InkShot pretending to be a innocent bystander reporting that the criminal InkShot and his Inklings were currently taking the center hostage demanding a very large ransom for immunity in exchange for their hostages.
S.W.A.T had stepped in, the move earned them complete silence. The situation had now reached the Aegis Headquarters straight to Alice....
West End Community center is hosting its annual "Kids Firefly Festival Night at the Community Center!" when InkShot having "robbed" a bank fled the scene taking up refuge in the Community center! Everyone has been taken hostage we suspect a large amount of the community attending by the Inklings (20-25 armed men & women) with InkShot being the tight lipped now....oh he also has enough C4 to level an entire square block....

The minute information started coming in, Alice was on top of it. She and Tim had been watching and waiting for Bakuhatsu's attack, and they had people stationed near each of the locations that he had threatened. "Shade, Phantom, take your squads and get in there. InkShot is claiming to have quite a bit of C4, so there is a chance that it could just be cover for Bakuhatsu. He's got about 20-25 lackeys, all armed. They're all wearing masks that look like someone's doing a bad Rorschach from Watchmen cosplay, so no positive IDs and no sign of other powers, so stay on your toes. I'll continue monitoring your situation and keeping an eye on the other locations Bakuhatsu threatened. Let's get this guy. For Art." (( Morrigan Cavanaugh, you are up next. [googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] WE'VE BEEN CHASING OUR DEMONS DOWN AN EMPTY ROAD ESCAPING OUR SHADOWS JUST TO END UP HERE [attr="class","itokaytext"]Shade hated hostage situations the most. Innocents in danger from villains were the worst, and she'd been part of a good many. And they'd been the end of some very good heroes. Aegis heroes included. Art was one of them. Shade remembered them everytime she went into a situation like this. Their way of life was dangerous, rushing into danger for the good of the people. But nobody deserved what they had happen. As Shade, she wanted to help make sure everyone went home at the end of the day. It wouldn't be possible for everyone, but she would certainly give it her best shot. She heard Alice in her ear through communication.
"Got it Alice. Phantom, let's bring these folks home, shall we? They've got masks so IDs are gonna be difficult most probably. Alice, is there a way for me to stealth myself inside? You know my techniques. I would much rather that way of doing things if I can help it." She technically was a powerhouse shadow wise, but stealth was her style.

| [NPC of Abraham Bishop aka The Phantom]
He thought it was fitting that he and Morrigan were teamed up for this. The shadow manipulator and the man who was essentially a ghost. He thought their powers worked well together, especially when they needed to put fear into their enemies. Scarier than Batman, Liling had once joked, poking him in the side with two fingers.
Hostage situations were always the most stressful. He'd taken care of plenty in his time with Aegis because a lot required covertness and that was his specialty. They didn't always end well, sometimes hostages got hurt - worst scenario was hostages dying. Those situations unfortunately happened from time to time, but that didn't deter him from trying to stop the next hostage situation.
He had to accept the possibility of the worst case scenarios in order to fight for the best.
He hadn't really addressed Arthur's death with anyone except Liling. She'd wanted to discuss it with him so they'd had drinks at his house. Loss was just another factor in his life. He'd lost plenty of people. It wasn't that he didn't miss Arthur or wasn't grieving him. He'd just become numb somewhere along the way.
He'd also learned long ago that revenge wasn't the way to go. Nothing good came from revenge, in his experience. But everyone grieved differently. He wasn't going to tell his teammates that they weren't allowed to seek revenge. He'd advice them against it, but he wasn't going to try to control them.
He was tempted to tell Alice that whatever afterlife Arthur believed in, if any, he doubted Arthur would care about being avenged. Vengeance, revenge, those were typically done for the living, not the dead. The sentiment was nice, he understood that much, which was what kept his thoughts to himself.
"We'll take this guy in, Alice," he replied into his earpiece, "Either that or take him out, but that's the a last resort, as usual." He didn't necessarily have issues with killing a villain but he tried to avoid it.
He turned his attention to Morrigan. "I'll phase into the building and cause a distraction. You can stealth in while their attention is on me. Once we think it's necessary, we can bring the squads in. How does that sound?"
He wasn't invulnerable like others he knew, such as Liling, but he could remain phased for quite some time, allowing bullets to go through him and just hit the wall behind him instead. But while he had more experience in Aegis, had been a member for long, Morrigan was also a pillar and he wanted to make this plan with her.

InkShot was casually picking from an array of cheeses on the cater table, "Jesus this is the best thing on the menu! Who booked these people?" a woman slowly raised her hand which mad InkShot and some of his men chuckle, "Get your money back honey," he picks up a walkie and speaks into it, "What's it look like out there?"
The radio crackles back, "Honestly pretty much the same and sign of any Aegis, over."
InkShot tossed another chunk of cheese into his gullet when one of his higher ranked men comes to join him, "What will happen when they find out your bombs are just an illusion?"
"Fuck them up my guy! The plan is to kill all these people anyway so it don't make a fuck at all to me, so until then we just hold this position now piss off Glenn," InkShot barked however a sudden commotion caught his attention....
....a few minutes ago....
@savage had been allowed to go out for the day, he was to feed and exercise his pent up animal then come home. The community center had food ripe for the taking but before he could pick his dinner date up, a single Mom named Gabrielle, some bonehead storms in taking them all hostage. Jesse could have threw a wrench in the whole program but that would have exposed himself to Gabrielle then he would go home hungry and sad, which wouldn't have made for a happy camper the following week until he could get out.
However that idea of saving face was growing distant and more distant with each passing moment, the guy behind him had jabbed him several times for grunting (Jesse was actually growling with frustration). The ringleader was chowing on cheese with not a care in the world! Who the fuck was this guy? What are they doing holding a community center hostage? They had to know the weren't going to get out of this without bloodshed....
"Hey you big pink fuck," the guy behind him suddenly jabbed him again with a little more force, "If I gotta say shut the hell up again I'm going to beat the shit out of you!"
Another jab...."You understand?"
Another jab....anger rising...."You listening dude?"
Everyone was looking .....another jab..... ...a growl... "HEY BUD-...."
He couldn't hold it anymore, beget the lady dinner when he could flex on some human thugs! Jesse flipped the switch on the device that concealed his real look and everyone screamed when the large cat looking beast stood up at full height. Gray fur covered him from head to toe and the inkling raised his gun firing two shots into the gut of Savage before a single slap took half the mans face off! The blood spattered the hostages and screams erupted from them as other inklings fired at the now moving gray blur...

Alice came over the comms, the private line that only Shade and Phantom were privy to. "Shade. You've got abilities that can get you here, back to headquarters, faster than anyone else. We need you back here. Now! He's here. Here! And Tim and Charlotte are down there and I think some of my friends are caught up in this and... You have to get down here. We need reinforcements. Krackshot is in your vicinity, he's coming back from another mission. He'll take over for you." Her voice was clearly panicked. Ordinarily, she would have hidden it, forced herself to take a more even, monotone approach, but all of the Pillars knew about her sentience and emotions. She didn't have to hide anything with them. "Alice briefed me on the situation, Phantom," Krackshot came in right after Alice. "I'm getting a rooftop position so I can provide overwatch, and move in closer on your signal. I happen to have some rounds that Tim claims can render explosives inert. I haven't seen them in action, but I trust him. If you can point me to the explosives I can hit them, and then I can switch to incapacitating rounds depending on what sort of power situation we have going on. I'll move on your signal." Krackshot got himself in position on a nearby rooftop and began to scope out the building. "Phantom, you may want to hurry. Something's going on in there. I'm seeing blood, I don't know where it's from, and there's a large... furry? shape moving around in there.." (( Morrigan Cavanaugh for one more before running off to Aegis HQ?))

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Josefin Sans"] WE'VE BEEN CHASING OUR DEMONS DOWN AN EMPTY ROAD ESCAPING OUR SHADOWS JUST TO END UP HERE [attr="class","itokaytext"]Morrigan was mid-fight. She saw the...was that a catman? Man he'd be trouble she just knew it. But then she heard her comm blow up. Alice wasn't even bothering to hide that she was in trouble and very panicked. Tim, Charlotte and some friends of Alice's were all defending Aegis HQ. She was a Pillar and she wasn't where he was attacking. But Alice was right, she had abilities that could get her back there faster than the others. As soon as she saw Krackshot arriving, she nodded to him.
"Alright Alice I'll be there as fast as I can." And with that, she melted into the nearest shadow, skipping from one shadow to another as a sort of short range teleportation. It didn't take too much energy, and it was pretty instant rather than running. Next best thing to having a motorbike or car, really. And Aegis needed her.

| Of course the second he suggested an actual plan, Alice came over the comms and asked half of his plan to leave and take care of something else. Alice sounded panicky to him and he understood her reasoning for calling Morrigan back. But why were Tim and Charlotte the only ones at the headquarters? Why did Alice have friends that had gotten caught up in some attack on the headquarters?
He wasn't surprised their headquarters were being attacked. It was publicly known where the building was so it was only a matter of time before it was attacked. But the timing of the attack had to be more than a coincidence. He grimaced, his frustration growing. Suddenly this hostage situation was feeling more and more like a diversion.
A diversion someone knew couldn't be ignored.
Aegis had become predictable - which in itself was predictable - and it was backfiring in all their faces.
He closed his eyes behind his mask, the breathable fabric covering his whole head in white. His eyes were closed for just a second, opening when he heard Bradley's voice. He needed a new plan. He needed one quick.
So he had to find explosives, direct Bradley to them, hope Tim hadn't fucked up those anti-explosive bullets, hope none of the hostages were hurt while he was doing that, and then find a way to beat the criminals without injuring any of the hostages, and--
His thoughts were cut off when screams erupted from the building. His eyes widened behind his mask when Bradley mentioned blood. He was trying hard to maintain his composure.
"Krackshot, tell me you have a God damn--" He took in a deep breath, let it out, and his composure returned. "Please tell me you have an EMP. If you can stop them from triggering the bombs, I can focus on whatever is attacking now and disarm the bombs after that's been subdued."
He couldn't wait for a response, though. He didn't know who the blood belonged to. "I'm going in."
With that, he phased down into the ground. He'd done this before - it helped with covert missions and covert missions were his specialty. He rose from the ground inside the building, sticking to the shadows, remaining in a phased state to make it harder to see him - he wasn't invisible but rather partially see-through in this state.
His eyes darted around the building, taking in the scene, trying to find the bombs while also noting where the hostages were and the... werecat? Whatever that was. He couldn't remember if he'd seen weirder in his time with Aegis but now really wasn't the time to go down memory lane.

Savage wasn't holding back as he attacked with hell bent fury, he had been shot a few times but he felt nothing as his healing powers numbed the pain and pushed the bullets out. He wouldn't be fully healed until after he was alone but this latent ability helped during combat. His distraction also helped the few brave civilians stand up and fight back, it was chaos inside the community center and not for the hostages anymore.
The leader had lost composure as the bomb, which was very detailed and very real looking, began to fade slowly. Savage came down from running across one wall and onto one of the Inklings with a sick crushing thud a blood mist covered his gray fur, "My my lad ain't we in a precarious predicament?"
The Inkling that had saved the crushing weight of Savage stood before him mouth wide open, he didn't have time to react as Savage tore into the man's face. Blood ran down his hairy chin as cat like eyes found the cheap leader, "I fink yer rose is slippin' boyo! Who sent ya? Aegis is surely goin' to fook ya boys rightly I ca-," he was cut off when a haze of bullets hit him from his side and he let out a loud very raw growl. That hurt him. With a deep guttural growl Savage knocked the head off of one of the Inklings closest to him which hit the wall in the back of the community center with such force it was embedded into the wall!
Savage wasn't hanging around anymore and so he grabbed up a fleeing woman who screamed and fought hard against the cats strong grip, it proved to be no good. The gray cat man charged through the chain locked double doors with his victim under his arm and into the night, police lights in front of him cut through the darkness lighting him up for all to see. He was furious and with his meal now turned into a projectile as he launched her at the police.
As soon as she was air borne Savage took off into the cover of trees knocking a few picnic tables out of the way....he was gone before anyone could react.........a few minutes later.... Savage was resting in a tree licking his bloody wounds and his tummy ached. He was still shaking with fury at his ruined day out but he had to make the call, "Oi! I need an extraction, has anybody been bloody watchin' tha shite show at the community center? InkShot was there wif' a decent liddle ensemble o'men! They had a fake bomb and everything! I fink they frew ol'Aegis fer a loop," his grey ears perked up as the person on the other end talked feverishly about the whole situation, "And that's boss idn't know a fing about it? I bet his ol pasty arse is chafed rightly so! Three other attacks? Mmmm...I'll be in contact boyo...."
He dropped the burner cell at the same time he dropped from the tree to the ground below, his 'curiosity of the cat' was getting the best of him as he took off in the direction of Aegis headquarters. He wanted to see the chaos first hand begot the consequences of his boss Savage wanted to see the new player first hand....

InkShot was totally 100% caught off guard by the giant cat that was mowing his men down with the simplest of notions. It effected his control over his fake bombs, "Dammit! Get those hostages under con-" he was about to say when the big fur cat started taunting him. Fists bawled in rage at the disrespect! He was about to attack but his men lit the cat up and forced him to flee....his hostages were fleeing through the door that the giant cat had busted free.
"No! No! No! This isn't how this is supposed to go down, fight you idiots fight dammit!" He screamed but his men were finding themselves off guard too, as hostages began to fight back. Bakuhatsu was going to be displeased with his failure but he wasn't done, not by a long shot! Ink shot from his hands into black rope that roped about six scared children up and he pulled them towards him as a shield. He pulled his own gun now, "Everyone stop!"
He fired the gun into the air and the chaos ceased for a few minutes, "I'll start putting extra holes in these little shits if another hostage even flinches, am I clear! No one but these idiots know these bombs are fake and Aegis hasn't got here yet so this is still my situation! Inklings get that door fucking closed and secure or I'll kill you myself!"
