ABILITIES: Darkness Manipulation
Her darkness manipulation can be split into several parts.
Shadow manipulation - Morrigan can manipulate shadows. They have to be naturally occurring, whether it is shadow others can see or only herself. Either way though she can't pull shadow out of thin air.
Aura Sight - Everyone has parts of their life that make their emotional state shaky. When Morrigan looks at a person she can see the issues manifested as shadow. She can see their emotional aura as a result of her healing ability. Different colours are assigned to each emotion. If someone's done something seriously wrong, or they're in a very foul mood, or they've gone through some trauma, a shadow in their aura is created. So basically each colour is like a tendril of smoke curling into the air around that person. The black tendril can suck in the other colours eventually and that isn't good.
Darkness Healing - Morrigan's darkness healing ability allows her to lessen that shadowy tendril kind of like therapy or a healer. She can't take them away completely, but she can turn that blackness into a shade of grey and the shade of grey is then easier for that person to deal with themselves. This ability of hers comes with a heavy toll however. When she takes away an emotional shadow from someone, it is reflected back onto herself and her own issues. Any issue she has will then be amplified. That makes it way more painful for her to deal with her own issues. Matter is neither created nor destroyed. She's an empath's worst nightmare. Sometimes, people who hang around her gain shadows themselves. It can cloud their auras and she sees that if she looks. And if she wants to help someone emotionally, she has to act as a bit of a sacrificial lamb. The maximum amount of shadow she can take from someone's aura is half of the shadow.
SKILLS:
- various martial arts
- variety of weapons knowledge
- advanced stealth capability (besides her powers)
- connoisseur of fine foods
WEAKNESSES:
-exhaustion
-headaches
-nosebleeds
-nausea (if tired, and also at feeling the bad emotions from others)
-general disgust with herself sometimes
-loss of sanity
-she cannot create shadows, but she can occur naturally occurring ones or those of an aura.
-the more shadow she manipulates the faster she becomes tired.

Appearance
GENERAL: Morrigan is 5'8" and blonde. She has an athletic frame toned from plenty of time hitting the gym and working at Aegis. She can cut a rather imposing figure. She has blue eyes and a smile that can light the room if she so chooses. When she walks, it's with a relaxed sort of confidence that she carries herself. She wears whatever she feels like at the moment. Sometimes that's a dress jacket and slacks, sometimes it's a dress. Sometimes it consists of a tank top and jeans. Whatever she wears, she looks good in so she doesn't figure she needs to be too discerning with what she wears. Despite her position, she isn't particularly concerned with what people think of her.
COSTUME: All black leather, with the exception of a very nicely tailored brown leather jacket. The ensemble has many straps in various areas, and is meant to make her melt into the shadows more easily.

Personality
Morrigan is a host of contradictions. She can be relaxed, but serious. She can be friendly or aloof. It all depends on her mood. Where the shadows are at the time. She doesn't mind being in the spotlight, but she relishes being in the shadows and surprising people. She takes her work seriously, but it doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy herself. Morrigan DOES enjoy her job at Aegis, and solving the challenges it can present.
Her very public position doesn't mean she isn't a private person though. Her actual identity is secret, and much of what she does is shrouded in secrecy as well. She also keeps her personal life private unlike some of the other members of Aegis. It's important to her because even if she's a Pillar, she doesn't want exactly to be held up as someone's perfect role model. While she IS a good role model, she doesn't think of herself as one. It isn't just humility, but a combination of that and crippling guilt.

History
Morrigan was born March 14, 1996 to two ecstatic parents. They had been trying for a child for a few years. She was their pride and joy. That is, until she was kidnapped when she was five years old. She disappeared without a trace. Turns out, she was kidnapped by a superpowered cult. They were all about training kids with superpowers to use them 'for good'. Which basically just meant using them for the cult. Of course, they didn't call it a cult. They called themselves Heritage, and Morrigan was not the only child she kidnapped. The kids were brought in blindfolded. They had no idea where they were. Then they were raised and taught to use martial arts. To use them in conjunction with their powers when they developed. The people running the clan were actually very good at teaching this. Morrigan's abilities showed up when she was seven. By that time, she had learned that they were the superior ones. It wasn't all bad though. The clan kept together because what was fostered made for strong family bonds. When Morrigan was eight, she met Charlie. Charlie was a human who wandered close to Heritage's compound. Morrigan talked to her through a fence. But eventually, it was discovered on both sides that they were talking to each other. For Morrigan, it meant strict punishment. This was the start of her realization that they weren't the warm folks she'd grown up knowing.
She went along with their training. Learned all she could. But she hid her true capabilities from her trainers. When she was eleven, one of the other kids created a timed distraction on the other end of the compound. A bunch of kids huddled around the fence. Morrigan used her powers to bust a hole through the wall. Her knuckles came away pretty bloody, but they ran regardless. Eventually they hit a nearby village and the bedraggled kids of all ages told their story. The feds were called in to investigate and the adults of the program were largely jailed, with a few younger adults being put into rehab. Turns out the Heritage had been doing it for a very long time. Morrigan was returned to her parents. But by then, she wasn't really a little kid. She was a rebel. They loved her anyways.
She reconnected with Charlie when she was twelve, getting to know each other better. Morrigan was thirteen when she applied to Aegis and was accepted as a recruit. From then on, she trained as a hero with them. When Morrigan was fifteen, Charlie asked her out. Morrigan was sixteen when she met Lisa Stane . They became friends pretty quickly, hitting it off. Then when she was seventeen, tragedy struck. Charlie died at Morrigan's hands in an accident and it left the girl badly scarred psychologically. All while this went on, she worked as a hero for Aegis. When Charlie died, it shook her confidence in herself. Despite all she was going through though, one of the Pillars looked at Morrigan and saw themselves. Void saw a girl with the potential to do great things despite her circumstances. They named her their successor in a secret document. And when they died in the line of duty, Morrigan became a Pillar at age twenty two.
