To see her starting to become more real or maybe it was just more honest with herself was something that he liked and when she actually took time to explain it then he did not see a reason to give her as much of a hard time. He laughed when she actually admitted that she was still hungry especially since he had thought that she had said that she did not eat food that came out of "places like this", whatever that meant but he did the polite thing anyway and handed her the rest of his food as he started the vehicle up. "I have never been one that has been into eating while I was driving just like I have never been one to let a lady starve at least not on my watch so enjoy it because I am giving it up by giving it to you." Yeah it had taken him a few minutes of sitting with her and some days of crying when his grandparents passed and checking in with Nadia but he was ready.

Since she was not sure she took the food but she made sure that her grab was gentle because she thought that they had just had some strange version of a moment but she was not going to let herself think too much into it. "Thanks." She took a few more minutes and as they drove she finished the food and then went on and stuck her head a little out of the window and took in the sights. It was strange for her to be a passenger because she did not trust anyone else to do the driving but everything deserved to be different didn't it.

"What is one thing if I can ask that you wish that you would have did with your grandparents while they were still alive?" She knew that the wound was still fresh so she took the time to be honest. "I asked myself that question a hundred times when my father first died and I thought that I knew the answer but the truth was that I never did so I always told myself that if I ever would have found someone who a death had just happened to that I would ask them the question so that is my question for you and if you want to pull over and take some time to think about it that is fine too but I just wanted it to be lingering in the air."

It actually did not bother him as much as he thought that it should. "I honestly wish that they would have seen me do more. I mean I always know that they were proud of me but I can do more than baseball and while I did it here and there they never seen it. I never even thought that I should invite them out because they were sick for so long." He had settled that with himself but it did not mean that the guilt did not linger.

"Maybe even stepped out and tried to date more but women are so complicated. I mean everything that you think that you know about a person is never what you think it is and they, there would be points where they started showing signs of what I thought was dementia so if the girl did not come back around I did not want that hassle. You ever have any grandparents?" He figured that one question he was not ready for deserved one that she might not be ready for but she seemed almost ready for anything. "Or just people that were old enough to be your grandparents that it would seem like the same thing?"

Damn that hurt her and she was not the type to consider herself having feelings that much. "Do more in their memory than you ever did in their life if that is the case." She knew that sounded terrible but when memories were all you had then you simply needed to let that be the one thing that drove you when nothing else did. "Make the pain your resource and I am telling you Graysen if you give me just one chance I will be able to help you. I have been where you are and I have thought that it would break me and it did but more than that it simply gave me something else to know that I was not done with this life just yet."

She could not believe how hyped she was becoming. "Let this trip be your true starting point because why the hell not. As you just experienced life is short and the last thing that any of us need to do is waste a minute." It was strange to think of death doing anything good but she was willing to believe that it could. "What do you say or are you honestly too old to learn new tricks?"

He started to laugh at her idea but the truth was it was a great idea. It was not that he had never thought that she could not be smart it just did not seem like what she wanted to be known for but he personally knew that he was glad to see it. "You know what?" he said quietly. "I am actually going to take your advice because I think that in your own way you are right." He knew that he did not want to give her too much credit because he felt like it would go to her head but at this moment he was going to do it because he wanted to.

"Okay I'm officially getting on board with this I guess. I mean I feel like it's been a while since we have done anything as good as this has the potential to be so why not start now?" He wanted to see where it lead, what it might lead to and what awaited the two of them. "Honor and cherish and then take the time to figure everything else out as it comes, sounds good right?" He did not know if excitement was in his emotions much but he felt it at the moment.

She looked at him and then was more than surprised as he said that he was on board. "You have got to be shitting me Graysen," she said as she looked at him. "I am going to be honest and tell you that it feels like I have been waiting on this moment for months and now that it is here I have absolutely no idea what to say." It was rare that she was quiet. "It's going to be so much fun and that is the truth." She knew that she could have fun and that was okay with her so she took a second and she wanted to hug him and after that she simply looked at him. "Honor what?" she said as she looked at him.

"You're giving in to me as you should have in the first place but it's not honor but as far as your grandparents go yes I will help you bring honor to them and you know that this sort of makes me feel special but that is just something that I know is in my head." She was not going that road with Graysen because she knew that she would fall hard and she could not. "I'm ready though old man."

"I do not know if I would say that I should have given in to you in the first place but I do think that what we have here is good and I think that we should do things your way for a minute while I see if this is something that I could adjust too." He knew that people were different but he knew that he wanted that too and sometimes that meant that you had to go out on a limb and do something, well he did not know if the word was wild but something different since that was how he felt the safest saying.

"I have never heard a woman say shitting me the way that you did though because the truth is that it's weird but if it works for you." He knew as soon as he said that sentence that he had indeed been sheltered too much. "However yes, I am ready if you are ready as I told you. It might take me a little bit to shake this bit of rust off as far as interacting with others but I got it if no one else does that is for sure but either way time is getting away right?"

"Depends on whose time schedule you are going by?" It came out like a question because she wanted him to understand and maybe he did it was still hard for her to read Graysen. "I mean I do things on my own so time as supposed to what other people have always thought of it of is nothing to me. I concept it like others but it does not mean that I believe if you take x amount of days to do something you will get it done. Life has knocked me down too much for me to fall for that trick again I'd say."

She liked this because they were past all the things that would be otherwise stopping them. "I just mean you could take days preparing a meal and it still not turn out good right? Holiday time being a perfect example of that and right now I don't think that anyone would be too worried about time anyway. It supposedly heals too but look at the both of us. We've lost important people and still feel the sting of that bitch made situation every day regardless of if we want to or not." She shrugged and spoke. "But yes we can go now."

"I never thought about it like that but you are right." He was learning to give small amounts of credit to people over all so that everyone knew where they stood and besides if he did something well he knew he would want his credit. "Well if we are looking at it the way that you are then we can say that we can just take our sweet ass time at least that is how I think that people say it now though I am not sure." He laughed deeply and the truth was that it felt good because it was unexpected and that was always the best feeling in the world.

"I was going to ask if you wanted to camp out in a way but I am not sure that camp out would be the correct way to word it." He shrugged as he ran his hands across the bottom of his scalp and finally let his hair down. If not for the spaced out areas around his head it would appear that he had a whole head of hair even though he was rocking an undercut. "I am going to use that phrase though because I can not think of any other way to word it. We should camp out, just pull up somewhere in a random state find a camp ground and sit there for days. I think that might end up being the best type of healing for all involved here right now."

"What?" she had to make sure that she understood what he was saying. "You want to take me on a camping trip or a camp out or you want me to take you?" There was a difference though she was not sure that she knew what it was. Graysen was way too nice to her considering that she looked and was a bitch and yet she had not yet been able to completely turn his stomach away. It was so annoying in a way since she was not going to develop any kind of feelings for him though she did find some strange part of her wanted to paint his head in nothing but white paint and smooth it out. Yeah she was odd and okay with that.

"I think that you can not figure out how to word it because there is no words for anything that might happen when you go camping. I mean depending on where a person chooses to do it one could run into bears or snakes and then you almost always have a hard time keeping the camp fire going and taking in all that it's a wonder in the first place how people even manage to get something like enjoyment out of it at all."
