He gave thought that maybe the bag had grew with her not literally but maybe as she grew she did not mind the weight. It was something that he thought that he could do but as soon as his grandparents had gotten ill then that was when he realized that he could not. No one had ever seen him break down much but still, he shook his head out of it and then spoke. "It must be nice to carry something with you that means a lot and as far as you getting drunk I am actually looking forward to it." He laughed and that was a first. "I just mean that everything is different when someone is drunk so it gives us something a little more than surprising to look forward to when we do get there." He felt as if it was going to get intense before it got to a let loose vibe. He had not been that much into this so called experience that she kept talking about lately but the more that she mentioned it the more that he found he was a little. "Do you have to be drunk to give me a good nomad experience as you call it or have you done it sober?" He had been told a little bit about it from Nadia but he had never actually known a drunk. "I believe that your use of both of your hands applies to your feet," he said calmly. "It is why I have been having you use them to see if you realize it too." He got comfortable in the driver's seat. "I mean I can give experiences too though I find someone boasting about them extremely unattractive and annoying." Decipher Nottingham

She watched him get comfortable and she did her best as she listened to him talk and then she put her phone away. It was wild to her to think that he knew something about her that he was not telling her though she did not remember getting drunk around him and spitting out secrets because she was not comfortable enough with him to do such a thing. "You want to know the truth?", she asked as she carefully put her feet up on the dash. "The last time that I truly did what I consider a nomadic experience for someone else or to bring someone else along with me rather I was sober as were they. It was good until we got caught up in something that we should not have seen and they died." It was no big deal because to her once you had seen one death you had seen them all sadly. "Between that and everything with my father I hardly have a reason to stay sober anymore so here I am. I come with a shit ton of flaws in an amazing body with an even more amazing face but my history is so filled with terrible nomadic experiences that the only way I find that I truly survive is to keep moving and to never look back and spend any time thinking about what changes could have been made because I don't have the time or energy to spend wondering just what went wrong and could have been different to change now." She motioned to his hands. "Start this whenever you are ready and if you are promising me an experience then I welcome it." Her hang over was slowly wearing off but she figured it would be a couple of more hours before she reached a complete state of sober. "It would be nice to have it returned and to know that I am not the one who is just putting what I have left into something to maybe help someone besides myself but I am not sure if you understand that Graysen." She was afraid to admit that he did so lying to herself was probably also a flaw of hers. "That and as rare as it is in today's world you are one of the nice ones. The nice ones are not so nice once the nomadic experience is over and I would prefer not to have Nadia down my neck no more than she already is at times." Graysen Maddox

It seemed like there was nothing that could knock her confidence even when she was drunk so the thought of that alone made him smile because true confidence was hard to find and in his opinion even harder to keep as life happened but sitting across from him there it was. That made her attractive to him. As he knew her physical was nice but to see her speaking the way she did in such a way really had a bit of a hold on him but the rules were there and he was not going to bend or break them. He let her finish before speaking. "I'll return it." How he did not know but he had said it anyway. "This seems deeper and thus more important to you than I will realize even once it has started so along the way I will return it through smaller experiences. Now I can not guarantee that it will be anywhere near as much as a thank you as you might figure that you need but at least once this is over you might not feel like you came away empty handed." He shrugged as he started up the van. "First things first though since I now know which state we are going to I am going to make a few mini stops along the way." Just because he had not left this state for a while did not mean he could not read a map. Luckily in this day and age he did not even need that. GPS was a god send. "So anything else too deep before I start paying too much attention to the road?" Decipher Nottingham

A man who listened? That was something that she had not known since her father had passed and though she found it interesting she still had to be real to herself. "I mean if you are feeling like it Graysen then by all means do not let me be the one to stop you," she said with a sound of sass that just came natrually. "If it did not require so much use of my fingers then I would appreciate that too but as a person who believes that the person picking the activity gets to be in control of it then that is your own choice." She found that she could be fair with the correct incentive though at the moment she had no idea what that was. "I think I have let all of my deepest thoughts and feelings out at least so far which is good. It gave me a clear head and that is what I like the most when I first start something like this." Never in multiple lifetimes would she have ever thought that Graysen would become someone that she might eventually look back and call a friend but none the less here they were. It was also strange to her that she found herself starting to think before she spoke and other things but all she wanted to do now was relax. "Just wake me when we get to your first mini stop if you choose to take it. My alcohol should be completely slept off by then and don't take offense to me napping I just haven't been sleeping well. I unusually found myself worried about you." There it was again something else slipping out before she could realize it. "It's just..death of someone that you are close to is an entire lot to take on when they have been your world for so long. It can even be hard to accept and then even more painful to adjust so I hope that I can truly help." Graysen Maddox

"I think no one really knows how deep their feelings run until tragedy happens. I mean we experience so much that it is hard to imagine that sooner or later it could get better or worse but we then turn around and experience something such as I am and you know that what you felt before was nothing in comparison. You felt something but you were not really feeling it you know? I mean I'm nowhere near into all of that as you but that is just what I think." He did not want any awkward silence so he started up. "You can take a rest if you need more I won't take offense." He was used to being one with a solitary life and driving was no different. He was also aware that just as she had said when you started to experience different things everything was strange but not because you were not open to it just because you had not yet had it. Then he noticed that she had went silenced and he figured that she was asleep. It had been a long day for him but not one that he had not enjoyed. After a few hours he pulled into the nearest truck stop and spoke. "I need food for the night's drive. I figure the sooner that I get you to the brewery the more time we can spend after and on my stuff. What do you need if anything?" Decipher Nottingham

The smell was unsettling and gross to her stomach and as she looked at the other trucks and more than that the truckers she did not understand how he could eat anything that came anywhere out of the establishment as her eyes darted up and took it all in. Decipher actually found herself repulsed more than she had ever thought possible. "Going in there without a weapon?" Her face said it all as she stared at him and felt her lip start to curl as she quickly grabbed control over it and then cleared her throat. "It'd be ashamed if you got mugged which is a very real possibility unless you went blind and are not seeing the same thing that I am. Graysen listen to me when I tell you that I would rather scratch my eyes out than eat food from there." She got up and begin to fumble through her bag as she slid two tubes of glitter in her pocket and straightened herself up the best that she was able. "I'll walk a few feet behind you because I don't want people to think that we are together," she said as she got out and motioned for him to do the same. She looked around as the people began to look at her. "Come on get your ass in gear if you want your oiled up tasting food. Ugh," she said disgustedly. "Always taking forever to round the bases." Graysen Maddox

He listened to her and found himself laughing as he got out. "I honestly know that you do not expect me to go without food when we are supposed to be equally do the other a favor." It was a bit of a journey her own words if he remembered correctly. "Such a beautiful guard makes it all worth it though," he said as he finally got out. Once they made their way in he knew that he felt like he was in heaven but he could not speak for her because say what you wanted about truck stop food this was some of the best at least in his opinion. He waved to the man behind the counter and smiled after a few seconds and ordered two plates to go, grabbed a few plastic forks and made his way out making sure to look back to make sure that she was okay. "See it was not so bad was it?", he said as he waited for her to get back in first. "You really should work on not judging people so much. I know that for a lot of people they do but it does not make it right and I see you trying to throw in those baseball terms like you do not think that I will notice." The truth was if he could talk about baseball with her he would consider that a win but he was not going to push it. He did hand her one of the to go plates of food however. "Don't think about where the food came from just see if you like the way it taste." He took a minute to put his feet up on the dash because he did not plan on going anywhere until he ate. "If you hate it I'll make sure to take you somewhere fancier before the trip is over but I doubt that you will hate it. I have not met a person who has just yet anyway." Decipher Nottingham

As much as she tried to deny it because she did not believe in doing things like this, she had to give Graysen his dues. He knew what he liked and even wanted and he stuck to it no matter how bad someone else thought that it was. "I must admit that you do keep me on my toes and that is something that a lot of people can not say so consider yourself a lucky young man though.." She paused because one would think that old man jokes got boring but she could not say that they did. "..because I'm going to eat this food simply because I am starving." It was true and if she did not eat then she knew her stomach would start growling and she really did not want to receive that embarrassment. She opened it and looked it over and she was not exactly disappointed with the food choices that he had made on her behalf. It was a nice gesture and the truth was that it made her think of her father. He had always made sure that she took the time to eat and fixed her plate because in his words, men took care of women in all ways even when they were as stubborn as she was. "I get my stubbornness from my father," she said as she looked the food over because she felt like she needed to get that off of her chest. "I know that it's no excuse because from the efforts shown on this plate you are really trying to make this a good experience already and I do like that." Soft, she thought that was the correct word to use. "Ugh Maddie, look at you making me soft. I'm absolutely disgusted at myself." She laughed lightly at calling him Maddie as she took a bite of the food and she was not surprised at all at how good it was as she took a few more bites. "This is so good and you know Maddie is sticking right?" Graysen Maddox

"Well I think that men are more stubborn than women but do not quote me on that because I am not one hundred percent sure so I am not surprised in the least that you would get it from your father. I mean it's genetic make up of all things and such which are things that i don't know much about honestly." He was a simple man and the more that the world went on the more that he found himself doubting if being simple was a good thing anymore. All his friends had went off and done spectacular things and he found joy in just being at home but he kept it to himself as he ate. "I am glad that as stubborn as you are that you are enjoying the food especially since I would hate the thoughts of either one of us traveling on an empty stomach." He did not know if this was anything but he knew that he was quite enjoying himself on this little trip and it had barely gotten started. "I doubt anyone could make you soft because you know what I see when I look at you, a tough cookie. You look absolutely delicious but you are so terrible for the teeth." He was honest and he did not know if that was a good thing or not but he felt like she would not want it any other way. "Maddie?" he said as he felt his nose wrinkle up and over. "If it must at least call me Maddox, it's not that much of a difference now is it?" Decipher Nottingham

"I actually like the name Maddox so if I call you it then I associate that name with the fact that you will realize that I don't actually hate you and we can not have that. Plus I do not want you to think that I would ever just be going easy on you just because your grandparents recently kicked the bucket Graysen. I honestly feel like I would be doing you an injustice by calling you your name and not a nickname." It was hard to explain but she already knew that this man that she had chosen to go on this trip was, was more than she had ever dealt with before. Maybe it was because he had been honest and real where as others had often flaked on her or maybe it was because she felt like he was only a few miles from a breakdown that maybe would not be so bad just because she was there but either way it was starting to mess with her which only caused her to stab at her food as she finished it. "Damn," she said as she took the final bite and looked out of the door's mirror for a trash can. "I'm still hungry," she said. She could not remember the last time that she had eaten and to think that it was because she had been being there for Graysen. "How much is another plate because I need to go get one." Graysen Maddox
