She smiled as she stepped in front of him because his manners were nice to see. "I am down for a little randomness if you are. I know that most people would say put it in some type or order like alphabetical or number wise but I think if we go one memory trigger at a time then we should be good." She could smell the food as they got close and she opened the door and took the food as she decided to tip very well. She turned to Micah with the food and tossed him a bag. "Hands up Micah and these better be the best burgers in town." She found her way towards the table and unwrapped her burger. "They always put too much mayo" she said as she started to scrape it off. "Alright so if I understand everything you seem to think that you can trigger them on purpose my memories that is and I am agreeing to let you do it as long as it stays between the two of us and that means that our communication is open and the second that I feel it is not or you try some perception trickery on me then if I remember it correctly and I do because I am a trove of those special little things after all then I get your balls." She was aware that was not what he had said but she found it funny. "Be the first time I took them and you did not squeal with excitement after but it's good." She took a bite of her burger after putting the top back on it. "Now that's delicious." She never thought it was good to work on an empty stomach. "How does yours taste?" Micah Nottingham

He was not a vegetarian by any means but his food choices were still particular and he did not eat out much because of germs and he just did not trust people to wash their hands. Still for Trove he would try to get this burger down because it did look nice. "It looks good," he said as he pressed the top of the bun down since he rarely ate when he was in deep thought and he was never one to break traditions. "If you think that you will be able to handle what might flood through then I want to trigger them on purpose." He actually said it confidently because it finally seemed that the two of them together were starting to get in their element and he found that amazing so much in fact that he took a bite of his burger. "This is like heaven in my mouth!", he exclaimed excitedly. He could feel his saliva mixing with the tenderness of the burger and the tomato and lettuce and extra cheese were just right as well. It even had ketchup and mustard and just a dash of mayo on it. He chewed very much like a child experiencing take out food for the first time because this was bliss. He finally remembered that he had company when he was eating and slowed himself down as he looked at her. "Sorry," he said as the saliva dripped down and he just let it fall. "Been a while since I felt good about food that I did not make or have prepared for me and my excitement took over." Cae Mire

She was used to all the odd things about him because in both their own way they were still children. They had grown up but it was different because growing up only meant that time had passed not that you had outgrown being a child. "It looks cute on you" she said as she bit into her own again. Things like this between them were rare because they usually spent most of their time fighting. "Your mouth probably isn't used to all the grease. I mean no one needs to eat it all the time but you hardly do so all the acid and such probably makes your mouth salivate more than it should have but no real worry there either because it won't make you sit but just to be safe you probably should not eat too much. We can always save it for later especially since we need to keep our focus as you would say." She shook her head. "Got a room we can study in so that we can continue this conversation?" She knew that she could not see Faye but the wind could not be seen either and it was known to pull trees up and at the very least knock others down and she did not want to take the chance. "We could always use my father's old study room. It's attached to my mom's house but that would mean taking a trip and I am not sure that either one of us is ready for that." By which he simply meant that he was not ready for that. He had not been in his father's study room since the old man had unexpectedly kicked the bucket and even then he did not know if he had left because he was scared or had left because he just had, had enough death for a while. Either way as he had ran away he had also realized that it was wrong but it was not like it took him off his path. "I mean I'm not ready for that." He had forgotten that to stay on the path he had to be honest. "I should be by all means because gee freaking whiz it's been years and I can taste it almost as good as I can taste that burger but I can't bring myself to do it." Maybe it was some complex about him having some daddy issues which he supposed it probably was but what about his mom. "If I open the door to it, I will share it with my mom because I share everything with her and right now she is in such a good, such a deserved place that I'm not sure it's worth the risk it to talk about a man who didn't give a damn about me." Surprisingly enough it did not come out like jealous but cold hard honesty. "It was always the Ribbon show, excuse me the Mallory show and she knows it. It also took her and I to get to a good place so why am I to think that doing this with you would be worth the risk?" He hated how he was sitting on the fence and he sighed. "I'd put your wants above the both of theirs honestly but I don't think you trust me enough." Cae Mire

She thumbed the bun that her burger was on because for a minute she thought that he was going deep but she knew him better than he knew himself and when he spoke she knew that this was just his way of scratching the surface. As much as she had hoped that he would be ready it was a fact that she would have to accept that at this point and time it did not seem likely at least not before the year was to change. She tried to watch his facial expressions when he started talking about his father and then Ribbon because as much as he tried to avoid it for once she could finally see the pain but it was just a small flicker because he had done it hadn't he? Years and he had learned how to mask all of his feelings which was a good thing when you were going through the initial pain but not when it had been a while and it became not a pain but a thing that was holding you back. It was only after she looked at him again did she realize that she had put her thumb in ketchup. She held it up and then spoke. "I could sit here and tell you that in no way was there enough time but I am not you I do not know what it is going to take for you to heal from what I now think you see as your father's betrayal but I assure you it was not like that." She looked at the ketchup and her thumb once more and spoke. "The memories I have of the two of you there was no difference only surprise but Micah you have to understand why. Children came at such a fast rate that it was hard to believe and the love between your mother and father was nothing short of electric but it died out due to sources beyond either of their controls so that which you view as time that you should have gotten to spend with your father was time pulled away from her too and from that view point I can see you not wanting to go, not wanting to deal but you need to stop waiting for someone to tickle your balls and go and face your past. Go and face the ghosts that haunt you in the form of your father's memory because if you do not then when will the rainbow show through the storm?" He was a mad man in the making if he thought that she had not put it all together because he seemed to be forgetting that it was her life at one point and time too. She had fell for Micah hard and fast and the Nottingham family for the most part had welcomed her so the loss hit her too but she had her memories good and bad that had got her through it. "If your storm is going over and under everything that was with your father before his death then let that also be your guidance because I'm ready to see things through your view point." She shook her head. "Through your senses I forgot as your father would say there is a difference between the two." She got up and made her way over him. "Dig into the conscious understanding and allow your senses to lead the way." It was the best advice that she could give. Micah Nottingham

He tried to watch her movements but who honestly put their thumbs on a piece of bread. It irked him even if he did not quite understand why but now that good piece of bread seemed to be ruined and that made him upset but not so much so that he dared to interrupt her because it seemed from how relaxed that she had become that she had something to say and wanted him to listen so that was just what he did as his ears flicked and burned on the inside. He could not remember if that was the old wise tale's sign of someone talking about you but for now he was going with it because it was happening right here in the present and he had to keep his focus through it all. "Ghosts that haunt me?" It came out entirely like a question because this was the first time that he had thought about it like that. Did he even believe in ghosts to begin with and though he knew that she was not speaking in a physical sense it still did make him wonder just a bit and he did his best to attempt to relax his shoulders but he could not and his ears seemed to burn just a little more but still he kept his focus as she started talking and he could hear the confidence in her words starting to finally show. That fact alone, the fact that as he was sitting there and taking her in and his eyes were putting the focus where it needed to be only made all of his other senses start to go wild. He almost felt like he needed to reach out and touch something but of the five senses touch to him was the most delicate so he did not but he did put his hands behind his back to keep himself from giving her face a slight flick right across the nose as a sign of affection because..well focus. As the smell of the food surrounding them made it's way up in his nose he still did his best. "No need to feel like you have to walk me down memory lane like you think I'm some sort of fragile boy who does not know how to make it in this shitty world without his father Trove. If you are being lead to believe by your memories that something in the past is haunting me that seems like more of something that we need to handle for you and not me." He had to mind his tongue because every time that he talked to her like that it did leave a sour taste in his mouth because it was not how he wanted to say things and maybe it was some sort of haunting being left behind but it sure as hell was no ghost of any sort. He gave a smirk when he let the phrase tickle your balls run through his head because hearing her say it was something that he had not expected but he would eventually work his way back around to that. "What do you think that you know about senses and perception Trove?" he said as he pulled his hands from behind his back and shook his head. "No ghosts on the stereo for me Trove. Nothing left to make sense out of except for the fact that the world is still spinning while the taste of what you want to explore through your memories sits on the edge of your walks through those same memories but I'm afraid that they your memories dearest are scrambled and if you want to make sense of them then what we are doing is only just starting." While she had not begged him for something different yet meaningful, she had asked nicely and he had taken more than a while but it, whatever it was about to turn into and in the end turn out to be was laying out now in the front of both of them as he extended his hands out to her. "Step here and let me smell you it's been a while hasn't it?" Cae Mire

"Well I don't know much but from the looks of it neither do you" she said as she looked at him and smiled because look at him just like a cat. "I'm not here for games I'm here to do what I know you can but for some reason are scared of and I have been very patient but honestly even that is running very thin and it might be because I feel like you just like toying with me because you look at me and you see me as nothing more than a piece of yarn but I assure you no one around here gets to just push and pull on me until they get bored and decide to push me back into the corner." She was not angry but she did want to be honest. "You and I have always been able to be honest with one another and I do not see why this has to be different because you are the one who taught me to call them as I seen them and right now all I see when I look at you is a pile of crap or chicken shit whichever you want to call it." She crossed her arms and shook her head. "I'm not coming to you, if you want a smell of me you're coming to me." She had her food and right now she was satisfied so she seen no reason to bend to him so easily. Micah Nottingham

He could not deny it, he loved how every once in a while she became demanding of him and at the end of the day it was just another reason why he knew in his heart that they were connected and meant to be so much more than what anyone had seen so far here. It was crazy how it would not be long that if the city stood still they would have been living here two years and though he hated the word anniversary it would be that but not like most married couples. He did not see it as something to celebrate but something more to take time and maybe start what he had meant to literally all those months ago but the world much like we never know had other plans and that was okay. "Fine," he found himself murmuring as he stepped to her just as he often found himself doing when they were kids. She was the cutest thing then and the cutest thing now though they were adults. "It's always like you like pulling me to you which is fine but to be honest it's kind of annoying." He was not being a smart ass just honest for once. "I get two sniffs since I came so willingly to you right? At least that is how it was when we were younger." Cae Mire

She watched him and what the hell she wouldn't give for perception to see if he was just doing it because she asked or because he wanted to but instead she had to rely on her memories. She found herself slightly triggered by his words speaking of their youth and she nodded. "Yes though honestly I wish that you would stop living in the past for once. You say you hate it there but your words show that you do not. You wished that things would have worked out differently and yet since they have not you are constantly beating yourself up and how is that fair to you?" She playfully put her hands out as if she was pulling her to him. "If I wanted to pull you to me Micah please do not act like I don't have the power to. It's like you are a spool and I would be the ribbon." MEMORY FLUX: "I would be the ribbon," she heard the voice say as she turned and a younger Cae found herself across from Ace as she was allowed to call him then. "What do you mean that you would be the ribbon?" she said asking him because she was always a bit more curious than she need to be. He went on to say something about pretty on the outside but really just there for filler. She blinked out of the flux of a memory and stared at him. "I mean to ask you earlier how is Ribbon doing? I keep losing contact with her for some reason." Micah Nottingham

Every time that he got close to doing something weird and what he thought was fun with her, her memories seemed to save her because she would always ask questions that threw him off. He stepped back and flinched a little bit and then swallowed before he spoke. "Why on earth would you ask about Ribbon?" Her memories were going to do him in and thus she was going to be his demise. It was something long decided before this adulthood that they were experiencing now but he did not give a damn because he was found it extra thrilling that they could either brave to be so bold or maybe that he could be so stupid waiting for the ball to drop. "I just ask because I don't know. She does her own thing and I do mine and every once in a while our paths might cross but ever since we got here to Astaria if I recall correctly they have only ever crossed three times and I did not want to push my luck so we decided to take a break away from each other. She's still my sister but I could tell that Ribbon was about to pull herself away and embed in her own little shell and I did not feel like pulling her out this time which only leads me to believe that no matter where she is, no matter what she is doing that she is doing with Mila. Is that a satisfactory enough answer or are you still going to stall?" Cae Mire
