She had always figured that Trove would be the type to throw a tantrum if she did not get her way and right now she was showing it in spades. She looked at Micah and he truly deserved someone who would not be so selfish as to throw tantrums and put him in such a state. "Realize I deserve better." It did not even take her a second to answer him and then she had to think about what she would have did when she was that young. "I can't say that I would run after her. It's why she acts the way that she does. Time and patience have never been things that I was good at though so just keeping it real I would probably go in there and slap the shit out of her." She did not smile so that he would pick up on the fact that she was serious. "You should go get some sleep though. I can occupy my time while the two of you are sleeping and maybe the both of you will feel better." She could see the connection making her son act off of the tramp's actions and really maybe sleep was best. "I'll bake something delicious for you and her while the both of you are resting." Cae Mire

She remembered this place from her youth so as she turned in her room she kept herself up against the door so that she could hear the conversation between them. She felt bad since it seemed like she was upsetting Micah but the truth was that he brought all of this on himself. Still she was glad that he was going to get some sleep and get away from Faye. She waited until she heard his foot steps and opened the door. "Hey Micah while I meant what I said I should have been nicer about it. It's just my memories are really starting to pour and half the time I feel crazy." She was not crazy but it did not mean that she did not feel it. "You want to know what happens when I look at you?" She leaned closer so that she could whisper and then just decided to pull him into the room and shut the door. She let out a breath and then went on. "The periodic table. The numbers and symbols and the words and everything. They flash like a really bad set of lights and that makes me think that I remember something that you were never even apart of or that you were and just do not want to tell me." She did not trust Faye at all. "Look I am going to choose to take the route where we talk about this instead of me hiding anything from you so here it is." She took another breath and spoke again. "It's just the ones that have single letters for I guess symbols so not the whole periodic table but about I think I counted 14 of them." They flashed on his face here and there and so fast she did not know the exact number but that seemed right. "Is any of this making sense to you?" Micah Nottingham

He rubbed his head as his leg began to thump mercilessly. "Trove I need you to be quiet." He was trying to whisper but the truth was that the words were coming out as nothing more than murmurs through sentences. It honestly made it hard for him to concentrate and he knew that it was because he was indeed some sort of emotional mess of a man boy. "We're supposed to be taking a nap and you're in here spouting this and that and I just need you to be quiet."
It was hard to keep someone safe who kept tearing your defenses down. "Look if I promise that we will talk about this later will you please just shut up?" He looked back towards the door. He reached over and locked it and gave her a pull down as he sat down. "Yes. There are reasons that when you look at me you see the periodic table." If she wanted to talk then hell what was the harm really. "Your memories are doing a domino effect." He had tried to warn her when they were younger that playing games and spending too much time thinking about the past would come back to haunt her but she never listened. His hands went up. "You know when you tip one domino and then next thing you know," He rolled his tongue imitating the sound. "That happens and the rest starts falling before you can truly collect them and get a hold of anything that is going on." He put his hands on his face. "Topple over like dominoes and we're never going to get to the periodic table." It was strange the first time that she had invited him to play dominoes. Right she said to keep talking.
"The first time we played dominoes, that was when I really got a glimpse of my perception." He had wondered for years why this power but it was slowly starting to pan out but he had to keep her in check. "All I seen were squares with dots, blocks and circles depending on how your mind concepts it. So I did what anyone else would do I just started counting them while we played and I started correlating the numbers to the periodic table because my perception helped to see it like that. It effects my mind too you see but not in a bad way." He had to take a minute to catch his breath. "The details of how dominoes were played became more important than just knowing how and why."
He took a minute to look under the door. "Details Trove." His leg calmed a little bit but his stomach was doing enough flip and flopping that he knew it was too late to curve his nerves. "Is it 11 or is it 14? There can be absolutely no in between." The question was no longer what did he see, but what did she see in her memories. For once it had taken him a while to get around to it but he was there or now. "I'm listening," he said as he gave both of his ears a flick.

She had mixed the bananas as she had always did because it started as everything else in his childhood. After she had discovered that through her own harm her son had became deaf in one ear she had started catering to him a little more than his sister. It was not however because she favored him, but feared for him but to others of course it would come across as favoritism. Why was it like that none the less she felt her mother's instinct kick in and she started to go knock because that was what boys did when they thought that there parents were not paying attention. They allowed themselves to be pulled and right now she could tell that Micah was being pulled towards that slut. "You know what," she murmured to herself. "I'm going to let her talk because she has no idea what she's going to open up just by simply running her mouth." To hell with it because she had tried to warn this girl and more than that she had told Micah to warn this girl but this whore refused to listen. None the less she finished making the food and drinks and quietly made her way down to where she assumed Trove was and knocked. "Trove, darling..I'm leaving this food. Please do make sure you feed Micah when he wakes up from his nap okay. I don't like you but I left enough on their for you too. I'll be back in an hour, maybe two." She kicked the tray on purpose up against the door and made her way out and up to the roof. She quietly laid down and sighed. "That girl is just determined to get in trouble, I swear." Cae Mire

Everything in her eased when he made that domino sound but she did not know why. "Collect them?" Right now she shook her head. "Okay I have always been able to focus but lately it's been harder but that is not to say that I can not do it." She was relieved that they were speaking though as he pointed out they really should be napping. She sighed when she heard Faye and then Faye left. It confused her a bit and she went on. "Okay here I am to focus." She thought about what he was asking of her and she let out a breath. "Fourteen. Single Letters clear as day recognized in squares." She wanted to be clear but if he was saying focus did that mean to be more specific? She did not know but she spoke. "Every time I look at your face I see either that or your father." It was crazy to her but it was the truth. "However then you speak and it becomes like your mother is talking." It was something that she did not know should be brought up but it was. "It is going to sound strange but it is like you look like him but your way of thinking is like her which I think is bad." Everyone deserved their right to think however because if anyone tried to change that she felt that in a way it was trying to change you. It was just another reason to add to the already mile long list of why she would not stay here for the long term. Everything about this situation seemed crazy motherly overbearing issues. "She left food for you. You want it though if you ask me it's okay if you don't eat it. She always did feed you the strangest assortments of food when all you really need is a good burger and fries." She pushed her hair back. "Unless your food choices have something to do with those fourteen elements that I seem to flicker memories of when we interact." She laughed happily. "Come on even I know that's crazy but yeah a burger and fries sounds like heaven right now." Micah Nottingham

Maybe communication really was key because right now she was talking and he was loving everything that she was saying. Not that he ever thought that anything that came out of her mouth could make him love her less but right now this was her showing that she had paid attention and he was in love with that too. His ears tingled a minute when she spoke about his parents but he was not like his sister, he was not going to run from it. He felt the same tingle in his leg but he did not feel it start to jitter so that was good to him. "14, okay." He was just glad that she was finally telling him specifics. "Well as you know I do know a little about the periodic table. The single symbols as you said but so do you." If she was giving details then he needed too as well. "I just am not sure if talking about it is going to give any more triggering effects to you but I will go slow, one at a time." When she started talking about cheeseburgers he could feel the saliva in his mouth go into working over time as the liquid filled his mouth. "Damn that does sound good." Now he wanted one especially if the cheese was melted just right. "I've just been eating the food that my mom gives me because she's always made my plates. It was one less thing that I had to worry about but if you want a cheeseburger then a cheeseburger we shall have because we don't have to go out. We just have to order and they will bring the food to us." He was so behind on such small modern advances that at times it was sad but he was getting there as he pulled his phone out but upon closer inspection realized it was Ribbon's phone. He checked out the reminder that was hanging on the virtual sticky note. "Set to blonde." Hmm. He put her phone down and pulled his out of his pocket. "One amazing food order coming up." He ordered his with a side of broccoli instead of fries because he needed the nutrients. "Alright food is ordered and should be here soon." He did open the door to pull in the food that his mother had left. "So that means that my back is off limits right since it sounds like sometimes just looking at something will make you go trigger happy in a way." Cae Mire

MEMORY FLUX ::
"So that means we're working backwards and the back is off limits?" Younger Cae was extremely confused but she was trying to pull it all together and there were times when that were harder than she liked and today was one of those times. "I am not quite understanding why we would need to work backwards." She watched as the woman that she would come to know as Faye shook her head but the words that she spoke were not understood too clear. Instead the woman handed her a few notes. Younger Cae looked over them and then smiled. "Yeah I don't know if I would be any good at that but I am sure that I would get good at it in time." She looked at him and shook her head no. "No we need to work backwards." It came out easy and that made her uncomfortable because while things were easy it did not necessarily mean that she liked it. "Micah we need to work backwards" she said as she found a few seconds to push her hair back because she wanted to make sure that she understood what she was trying to say so that he would have no excuse once she finished. "Instead of working towards the solution I think if we look at it and break it down then we will see that we have had the solution the entire time and we need to work from that to get to the beginning." It was going to be hard and doubled over on the slices of complicated and still she felt like she was ready. "Your back can't be off limits because it's exactly where we need to start. Does that make sense?" It was nothing that she was going to use to scare him but it was not a head on situation in her head. If it was anything it was a back up against the wall and time to come out of it but it had to be done carefully. Micah Nottingham

"Holy shit," he murmured under his breath. While he could not actually see her memories playing out physically the way she seemed to blink out, freeze perhaps though he was not sure alerted him to the fact that she was having them. He hoped that the memory replay lasted long enough that she had not heard him murmur the phrase containing such foul language but if she had that was okay too. He listened once she was done and started speaking again. He could feel his own eyes going wide as she started talking about starting at the back to..."What?" He said as he finally processed what she was saying. It made him feel like he was itching though he did not move to scratch but instead stayed still. "I am not sure if it makes sense but I am following what you are saying so far." It was awkward for him to be listening to her ideas as they seemed to be freshly coming into her head and it was more than a little awkward for him to actually like where this seemed to be heading. Had he somehow finally caused her to jump the shark in a way? He had known her for years but this was the first time that he could tell that she was perhaps as serious as she got about anything and to have it zip line back around him to start also made him feel unique. "Well if you think that there is something on my back that will help unlock something as far as your memories go then you know that I am game." It was true that lately his head had not been into it but that was not her fault. Shit happened and while it had not made him pissy it had made him withdraw himself from everything. He had no issue with calling himself out on his actions but no one could be in the right frame all the time. "Alright we should..we need lights but not like lights on a ceiling or special lights." He was trying to recall what they were called and right now maybe lights was the incorrect word. "We need to make it like a family game night." Hell if she was going to give him what he wanted he felt he might as well bend a little. Cae Mire

She started to speak when she wondered just what to say to a family game night. "Yahtzee!" was what she finally decided to yell out and then she laughed at the thought. "Actually no" since it seemed like as he had said the details were important. "No family game night because it's way past that. My memories that looking at you triggers are past that so I think that it's something else." Their history was always writing itself so what would become their history a lot of times was happening in the moment and that was a little hard to understand for her what with her memories flicking on and off like a light switch lately but she felt like she had finally done it on the surface. "When we were younger your mom always made the comments that eventually we would come face to face with a path that we could not get away from because we would realize that there was no longer any left or right to take. It would only be straight and not turn off and Micah we are at that point." They were not painted in a corner or anything but it was time to put their eyes on the prize which was to walk into destiny. "I don't want to fight this so called destiny anymore but I also need you to stick to your word." It was not that she believed that their destiny was anything more than hell and torture around one another but maybe that was just to get burned only to come back better. "We will walk and discuss thoroughly the elements that I see and see what memories get triggered and go from there but I need that perception one hundred percent up to code." Micah Nottingham

He was surprised at himself and her at the same time though he actually found it odd that she used the phrase up to code. He felt his boyish grin as it spread itself on his face and he nodded. "Up to code," he said clearly echoing her sentence. "I think, no I know that I can do that." It was a phrase that both of his uncles had used but naturally in different situations and now she was using it. It did not scare him like most new things but instead gave him hope because as silly as it sounded it was like the light at the end of the tunnel. "You got it," he said as he winked at her. His family had and would always be about balance so he wanted to give that to her. If her efforts showed that she was indeed trying then he felt like he needed to return the favor to keep everything just as it needed to be. "Food first though." It was a simple thought and he supposed in his own way a nice gesture but he wanted to feed her in all the ways that most did not think about but for that to happen she needed food. "I just mean that our order should be ready and I don't know many people or much about anything outside of specific ideals and realms that I was taught as a child but one thing that remains constant in it all is that no one likes cold fries." Now that was a joke that was worthy of having told or so he thought as his grin got wider and he nodded towards her. "After you." He could respect her not saying that it was destiny because she did not seem to mind acknowledging the fact that it was a path. If they would walk the complete path together he had no idea but this particular section of it; the one where her memories dipped into the elements and changed the use of his perception as he learned about them to him was a glorious sweet path. If it had a taste he imagined that she would love it as well but right now to him it had no taste but it did have a look. It was drizzled in a crisp golden border and lights that shined underneath but only when the twinkle of the stars shined at an angle and the alignment was right but for now he was getting ahead of himself. "So which one is first or do you want me to try to trigger one and we see which you see randomly?" Cae Mire
