Stupid, stupid, stupid.
It was a risk, but Tayla took it anyway and kicked the box she was dumping her stuff in. Not that she would probably get to keep a lot of it, the way things were going.
Felicity had moved out, something about an opportunity in another city or in some other part of the city or something, Tayla honestly wasn’t paying too much attention. Tayla’s job working for the moving company was still good, and Felicity told her it should still be more than enough to cover the lease.
What Tayla hadn’t done was actually pay that lease. One day she came home to a notice on her door that she didn’t read because she was preoccupied with her most recent Pepe Silva board trying to figure out who the tyrant was in this universe, but she couldn’t ignore what was happening when the landlord came in and told her she had to have all her stuff out by the end of the day.
Furniture was easy, Felicity had taken most of it and Tayla kept herself busy and didn’t really stay at home much, she had a handful of clothes and a little makeup she was still trying to make work (whenever she video called Felicity she swore Tayla looked fabulous but Tayla wasn’t sure about that still), so getting packed wasn’t going to be too hard. Tayla was more upset that she was such an idiot to let things get to this point.
She took a box to the kitchen and started just dumping the contents of the cupboards into it, trying to plan out where she was going to try to sleep. She didn’t have a car to put things in so she’d have to figure out what she could carry and…
Oh shit. She’d forgotten Miguel was coming over to take her to dinner.
Fuck, how was she going to explain this?
