Double Life
ABILITIES: Jolene has been genetically modified and engineered to be a dog that follows her masters beck and call. She has sharp canines that resemble that of a wolf's. They are always there and are very obvious to anyone in close enough proximity. Her jaw is stronger than a typical human and has the bite force of a wolf, something she uses frequently in battle. Her nails are sharp and strong but are not as noticeable of a feature as her large canines. Jolene has a heightened sense of smell and hearing. She is stronger and faster than the average human as well due to her genetic modifications that were meant to turn her into the ideal super solider and mimic a wolf. Her modifications have also left her with a palate that calls for raw meat and her stomach often rejects most other foods.
Jolene struggles with slipping into an animalistic and primal state of mind and this most commonly happens when engaged in fights. She loses complex thinking and acts just as a predatory wild animal would be expected to and is highly unpredictable towards any potential companions. She has a "master." This master, the one that conducted the genetic modifications in the first place, has a control of her with a mixture of their mind control abilities and a chip imbedded in Jolene's neck. It is capable of causing immense pain that brings Jo down to her knees if she were to go against the wishes of her master. Her master is the only one 100% safe from her primal rage and feral mind as even the animal in her is conditioned to follow them, such as a dog that has been reinforced.
SKILLS:
+ Canine affinity: Jo can't converse with dogs and other canines, but she does have a natural affinity with them. Most dogs are easily subdued around her and fail to be aggressive.
+ Better than your average Jo (haha get it?) strength, speed, and stamina: It's in the name. Due to her modifications, Jo has physical prowess over the typical human but it is by no means super strength, speed, or stamina. She could put up a good fight against someone with super strength and can take a beating, but she will not overpower them with mere strength alone.
+ Excellent fighter: As long as Jo can remember, she has always loved brawling, boxing, you name it. She's really good in melee combat.

Appearance
GENERAL: Jolene stands at 5'8" and boasts an athletic build from all of the fighting she does. Her brown hair is usually a bit wild and fluffy and so she often throws it in a messy ponytail to keep it out of the way. Her eyes are an emerald green. On her chest is a tattoo of a moon that she got as a teenager and now finds it highly ironic given her condition. On her left shoulder is another tattoo of three eyes going down her back (viewable in the picture on this app,). She goes for comfort over sex appeal most days and wears simple jeans with different sweatshirts on rotation. Jo smells of pine trees and a hint of metal, as the smell of blood she never seems to be able to quite wash away.
COSTUME: Currently, Jo doesn't have any kind of costume. Her canines and the primal way she fights makes her pretty distinguishable and, so far, her master has not used her for any nefarious plans in recent years, though that may change.

Personality
Jolene is a bit hard to pin down. She can be a very quiet individual, appearing self-conscious and hardly self-assured. There is a hidden resolve and determination. She is fidgety around people and always seems to need to be on the move. She's always been better at talking with her fists, finding talking to be a bit more awkward. Jo dedicates a lot of time training in various fighting forms, and loves to be training. A byproduct of her genetic tampering left her with a lot of excess energy, and the gym and in the ring is her best way of expelling it. Jo gains confidence when fighting, and visibly is more sure of herself, being in her own element.
Jo isn't the most trusting of individuals. Her genetic tampering and modifications saw to that and she always worries others are out to control her or use her. However, when she does decide to place her trust in someone, it is unshakeable and she would go to the ends of the Earth for these handful of people.
Overall, Jo is an ambivert, and very observant. She's not downright nasty with people she doesn't know, but she keeps her distance. She is a firm believer of the age old saying that action speak louder than words. Anyone super charismatic makes her uncomfortable, and probably fall under the category of people she is most unlikely to trust.

Jolene Darcy is a member of the affluent Darcy family, a well-known old money family who had their fingers deep within the seedy underbelly of Astaria. Or perhaps a better way of putting that would be to say that she was a member of the family. She had been, of course, before she had been kidnapped in her late teens and had been genetically modified and became nothing more than a little lapdog for her master. It effectively had her stricken from the esteemed family tree and labeled the black sheep of the family, having assumed their daughter ran away with her lover at the time. Jo had always been a bit of a troublemaker, and of course, whoever took her did so in the night, so there were no signs of a scuffle. She would certainly live up to that title of black sheep when her master took the fight to her family's estate. She never knew why this person had an issue with her family, but they did, and she was too far gone in her feral state mixed in with mind control to care. She had been sent to kill her older sister, Violetta.
Jolene tore off her sister's right arm completely, took off the lower half of her left leg, and had been blindly slashing after that to not quite know what other damage had been done. That was all Jolene knew of the incident, having blacked out somewhere in the mess of the carnage, waking back up at the estate. She knew what she had done and that her family was dead but the who, what, when, where and why she never got the lowdown on. She was nothing but an attack dog.
Jo never knew much about her so called "master" but they sure had a sick fucking sense of humor. It was made clear from day one that she was no more than an underling not so privy to any information. She lived in a private estate, surrounded by nothing but trees and wild game that she was sent to hunt for her meals. Anytime she was around the master, they were always in full costume, concealing any identifying feature as well as using a voice changer that was different depending on the day. They treated her affectionately, as one might their house pet.
Jolene, surprisingly, was able to escape at the age of 21 and has since taken to living in the shadows. Jo had never finished high school, so she finds work in doing odd jobs for others during the day, and running her lucrative fight club by night. It's mostly powered individuals that play, but anyone is allowed in. Everyone places high bets, and death is a common occurrence.
