This was infuriating. He had this fantastic plan. He'd come in freak out the drivers, and then snatch the car and start flying away. He was far enough out of town he shouldn't draw too much attention to himself, and he'd have all the cash in the car to fund his lifestyle and new improvements to the wingsuit.
But the damn car was too heavy.
Nighthawk had started out with his plan easy enough, fired some feather knives and bullets, and then started to try to fly off with it, firing a talon at the back of it and started to lift, only to find out that he just didn't have the thrust. He tried with both talons, and no dice. He sighed, realizing that he'd have to cut the cargo off of the rest of the truck to make it even have a chance.
He looked around the clear Oregon night, looking for the Aegis bastards that were clearing going to come after him soon.
Putting his suit in hover mode, he dropped down with two of his knives, and swiftly finished off the drivers and guards. They were still distracted and panicked, and definitely rookies. But they weren't a problem now, and he had a chance to plan.
They'd called for help, so Aegis was coming, but that was fine. He'd wanted to put those Aegis punks in their place at some point, might as well be on the first night out with the wingsuit. But he had to be smart about it.
Re-docking with his main suit, he disconnected from the armored truck, leaving massive marks both on the back and in the hood from the bladed talons. He'd have to come back for that.
He could hide in the forest nearby, and then blindside whoever they sent. That would be perfect.
