It was Friday, one of his days off from his classes but goodness is he so behind on grading the assignments he's received back. He wished he had a TA this semester, but between no one having time to be a TA and the department not having the funs to actually pay for a TA, Erebus was struggling to grade assignments on time. Well his deadlines. Luckily he has already warn the classes that he will be taking longer to grade assignments due to his disability and because of this, the assignments will not be like other semesters in the past. There will be fewer small assignments and more large assignments with larger weighted grades and even more available extra credit assignments. Overall, instead of having a weekly assignment on the readings, he has 5 essays due every three weeks, one online quiz every week, along with randomized partnered assignments and extra credit options every other week. He regrets it. Completely regrets it.
He stared at the typed page before him, eyes starting to water as the words swam before him. It was his 5th essay that day and yet he still had 30 more to go before Sunday. It frustrated him because he started last Friday and only got about 15 done. At least the class used the fonts that makes it easier for him to read. The dyslexic friendly fonts. Because of that, anyone who used the font automatically got 5 points extra credit, not that they were told to do so for that reason. They did it because they cared.
He reached out for his hot coffee with double expresso and looked around. He noticed someone familiar over in the que. It took him a bit to realize that it was Ivan, his little brother's partner. "Huh...did not know he went here" He mumbled to himself before taking a drink. He set his drink aside and focused on the paper again, only not as much as before as he also kept an eye on Ivan. Because of that, he noticed when a large man bumped into Ivan and lost his pizza slice to the floor below.
"Oh boy...this is probably not going to end well" He mumbled, focusing more on them than on his work in case things hit the fan hard and he would need to step in. "Come on... apologize and walk away from Ivan. Do not make me go there." He mumbled, only to groan and stand up when he saw the man yell at Ivan. "Bastard."
