Double Life
ABILITIES: Spider Physiology
Webs: Can spin webs and shoot them from her wrists. She can create both regular silk and gossamer, a type of silk that catches the wind easily as well as create silk that reflects UV light, and silk that is drenched with spider venom. She can choose which type to create when she shoots, as they're made differently. The venom has a slight paralytic effect, making it harder for a person to move.
Wall crawling: Can crawl up walls and hang from ceilings by making any part of her body stick. Yes she has indeed tested that. It works through a layer of clothing, and is especially strong on her hands and feet. In those cases it can stick through a layer of rubber.
Super strength: She has super strength, and can lift about the weight of a car if she puts her mind to it. Webslinging included. What causes this is extra strong muscles in her body. It also gives her a boost in speed that's about double what a peak athlete has. Stamina is also enhanced.
Healing: If someone was to slash her with a knife, the wound could heal in half the time of a normal person. She can't regenerate body parts.
Spider Vision: Spiders have excellent vision, and some are even believed to be able to see UVA and UVB rays. Kara can focus and increase the efficacy of her vision, seeing those rays too. She can also equip nightvision, which is pretty damn handy.
Camouflage: Many spiders have colours to blend in with their surroundings. Kara can camouflage herself to disappear into her surroundings.
Spider Control: Kara can control anyone from the Arachnid family. So spiders. But also scorpions. It can be a nightmare in the right circumstances. She can communicate with them as well. She can also see what they can see if she concentrates. Basically, if you've ever wished to be a fly on the wall she can do that but with the spiders in your house.
Immunity: Any effect she has with her powers she has immunity to. For example, if someone tried to paralyze her with a toxin, it wouldn't work as well because she uses it on her webs.
SKILLS:
Tailor: Practice making her costume over time has given her an impeccable sense of style and the skills of an experienced tailor. She also literally works as a tailor so there's that.
Gymnastics: A skilled gymnast just like her brother.
Languages: French, English and Spanish. Unlike her brother, she's worked to become fluent in Spanish.
Stealth: As a pair with her brother, Kara had adapted to being the surprise element, stealthing herself until the best opportunity presented itself. After separating from her brother and going her own way, she's become even more adept at stealth as she has to hide herself from Leo, an experienced and talented tracker.
Martial Arts: Her years of street fighting with her brother have led to her privately studying a few different kinds of martial arts and combining the moves into what can end up as a deadly combo. Boxing, Taekwondo, Judo and limited Wushu.
Weapons: Most of the time, she's able to fight sufficiently with just her powers. But she leaves nothing to chance and is also incredibly talented with a staff. It's an expandable one she had custom made. It's just as strong as a regular one, and she can pack it on her lower back, attached to the belt of her costume. She's also a decent shot with a bow and a pistol.
WEAKNESSES:
Gravity: Gravity still has an effect on her. If she's carrying something or someone and she's upside down, gravity's going to be a bitch to counteract.
High Appetite: The energy to make things has to come from somewhere. Kara has a huge appetite and a high energy level to compensate for her abilities.
Time: It takes more time for her to spin certain silks, and in the meantime she may end up being vulnerable.

Concentration: Controlling spiders to go different places takes more concentration than controlling a horde to go to one place. Seeing what they see takes even more concentration and can make her a bit motion sick because people only have two eyes and spiders have more. Also because they're moving while she's possibly stationary.
Still there: She may be camouflaged into her surroundings but she still occupies that space. People can bump into her or aim for her and it would still affect her.
Strength and Speed: The more she lifts, the more tired she will be. And if she's doing it with webslinging, it can take more concentration to compensate for possible swinging of a heavy object. Going faster also takes concentration because she's going faster than normal but her mind is still at the same speed.
Healing: She can't regenerate body parts that are lost. She also can't heal other people, only herself.
Venom: The venom that Kara can drench her webs in has a paralytic effect. The more venom someone gets the harder it will be to move. But if they're determined enough they can fight through it.
Appearance
GENERAL: Kara is 5'11" tall. Her hair is blonde to the point where it can seem white in certain lights. Her eyes are a grey blue that shines with mischief when she's in a good mood. She likes wearing casual clothes mostly. Sometimes you might see her in a suit but it won't have a tie on it. She isn't really a fan of dresses unless she has to to fit in. And even then, the point is rather tenuous. She prefers t-shirts and jeans, or sweatpants, and a leather jacket. Or maybe even leather pants sometimes with laces up the side. Her style might be best described as 'lazy punk rocker', but there's truly nothing lazy about her. She thinks far too much about what she's doing.
COSTUME: Kara's costume was originally created as a foil to her brother's, but it's changed a bit overtime. The colours have also changed, as not everyone likes the style they had as a teenager. Her current costume is a emerald green with a black spider on her front with legs that wrap around to the back. The spider's outlined with grey scale. Her mask goes over her entire head with the exception of the bottom half of her face starting halfway down her nose. The eyeholes are meant to look red, although it doesn't affect her vision colour at all. The mask also goes over her hair because her hair is a distinct colour. Her feet have what appear to be normal black combat boots. However, the sole has been modified by her so she can climb with them on.

Personality
Kara can be friendly with people she cares about, but she can also be a prickly bitch with them. It really depends on her mood that day and how much she cares about appearances. The real test of whether she likes you is whether she relaxes enough to curse and call you names. If that happens, you're definitely in friends territory.
She enjoys everything she does, whether that's her job as a tailor or practicing her martial arts. She makes a habit of practicing them regularly so she doesn't get rusty at them. She greatly enjoys picking up new skills whenever she can, and working out. The more skills she can amass the more she can lord it over her brother as a joke. She also loves kids and is very good with them, something that comes as a surprise to people oftentimes.
History
Leo and Kara may be twins, but their childhoods were very different. They both had loving parents true. Their parents each had their favourite child. Leo was their father's favourite. Kara was their mother's favourite. And that meant they had different experiences. Vastly different. Childhood and teenage years were perfect for Leo. Not so much for Kara.
Kara fought crime in Calgary Alberta with her twin brother. Their powers had manifested at 10 and they thought to fight injustice with them, and got quite good at coordinating. She also got very good at making them costumes. She decided to be a tailor by the time she was 12. Her parents supported her ambitions. Her dad heard of an accomplished tailor in Astaria and since he already went on business trips to the city he brought her along. During the time on the trips, she would stay with the tailor and learn from him. By the time they were 16 they were quite talented with their powers. Unfortunately for Kara, that year was also the year she found out about her father's affairs. Plural. That Leo and Kara had a little half sibling somewhere. She found this out from her mum, who had forgiven Kara's father for them. He apparently had stayed true to his word and not had any more. But it shattered Kara to know. And it gave her some commitment issues honestly. She didn't tell Leo. How could she? He looked up to their father like he was a hero. Kara didn't have the heart. She kept it to herself. Kara during this time had kept up her trips to Astaria. It had changed from her father's business trips to ones of her own during this time however. Especially since she didn't particularly want to see her father if she could help it.
When Kara was 19, she stopped heroing with Leo. To Leo it looked like Kara had changed from wanting to save people to just having fun. That she was becoming a villain. The unfortunate truth was that Kara had been betrayed and beaten by someone she trusted. Someone she had feelings for. That's when she discovered the extent of her healing factor, because it all healed by the next day, allowing her to hide that it ever happened. She stopped heroing and started thrill seeking and playing the field because her commitment issues got even worse. She did all this in an effort to just feel something. Adrenaline was the only feeling she seemed to be able to get consistently. She'd gone numb. She moved to Astaria because she was tired of Leo looking at her like a disappointed parent. Because her parents had already disappointed her. And also because she already had a job there, as her teacher had been looking to retire around the same time.
She works as a tailor in Astaria at what was her master's store previously, The Silken Loom, with a variety of clientele.
