Scott didn't want to be here. It was entirely - entirely - out of his comfort zone and while yes he thought it was good to occasionally get out of one's comfort zone, he also preferred when that was his choice. But he didn't have that many friends and those he did have had decided they wanted to include him in this. He wasn't particularly close with them. They'd simply been on the same swim team in college. They'd kept in casual contact, mainly over social media, and occasionally they invited him out for drinks - and even then he usually was the designated driver... Mainly because he knew how the others could get.
He'd thought it was just that again: going to a bar, watching them get far too wasted, maybe having a single beer but probably ordering a smoothie instead, driving their drunk asses home, and then unsurprisingly waking up to texts that their heads were killing them and they felt like death themselves. They called it "Guy's Night" every time but he suspected he was only there because they needed a driver. At least they were being responsible in that regard... Kind of.
But this certainly wasn't a bar - at least not fully. The building was made from red bricks with men and women standing by the door - men and women who were clearly security and formidable ones at that, if looks were anything to go off of. Scott admittedly had no clue what a Gentlemen's Club was and spent the wait to get inside searching it on his phone.
Oh. Oh.
"I thought we were going to a bar?" he asked, looking up from his phone at the... well friends didn't feel entirely appropriate but he wasn't sure what else they were.
"You need to live a little, Scotty," one of them, Kyle, said as he clasped a hand onto Scott's shoulder. Scott barely managed to resist the urge to grimace. He didn't like when people used that nickname - not when they weren't family. He wasn't close enough to Kyle that that nickname felt anything but condescending. He needed better friends.
"We went here in college," another one, Garrett, pointed out without looking up from his own phone. "You just never joined us." The last part felt like an accusation. Scott had to bite back a retort that he'd been far too busy keeping his grades up to maintain his scholarship.
The next thing he knew, Kyle's arm was slung across his shoulder. Kyle flashed a grin to the security as he practically pulled Scott along with him. The inside of the building was lit up in the way that complimented the dancers quite well, making sure to shine on all the right places. Music was playing - he didn't quite recognize the song but he wasn't the most up-to-date when it came to current and new songs.
He managed to squirm out from under Kyle's arm, sticking his thumbs in the front pockets of his jeans. His face already felt hot, eyes trying not to look at the dancers. He didn't think what they were doing was wrong - it was a job like any others and he supported that. He was just far too awkward for this place.
"You drinking tonight or sticking in the mud still?" Kyle asked with a laugh.
Scott couldn't help frowning this time. "You want a ride home or are you going to pass out in their bathroom?" That had happened at a bar once, according to Garrett.
Kyle huffed. "It's a joke. Calm down."
"We should find seats," Garrett piped up, apparently having already gone off and gotten them drinks, handing a beer to each of them. "Find someone to watch."
"Hell yeah!" Kyle cheered, lightly elbowing Scott's side.
Scott held in a sigh and took a drink of the beer. He wanted to go home already. He was certainly not telling his siblings about this. He'd never live it down. | ... feel the weight of the world over me tonight. if i break, if i break down this time, hope you know i tried ... atlas Orion Black outfit658 words I find the thread title far more entertaining than I should LOL. |

Orion was already tired and he was two hours into his shift. He already told a floating bouncer that the group that he was entertaining was banned from accessing his shows after the nasty comments and the actions that they've done to his person. He sighed and rubbed the base of his head, sort of comforting himself when he tugged on his hair before he head to the bar.
Orion, wearing faded jean short shorts and blue suspenders, with a pair of worn work boots, was comfortable and used to the whistles and the calls he got as he walked to the bar. He understood that he looked gorgeous with his muscles, tattoos and general thickness. At least that's what his last partner said when he first joined, but he doubted it was that. Regardless, he weaved the crowed, wanting to head to his personal safety.
Orion honestly loved the bar. It's his favorite place to work and he thoroughly enjoyed making various drinks and cocktails for the people, along with hearing the gossip on the streets and in the building, especially when his favorite co-worker was there. He's always being pulled into bets by this gentle giant of a ginger.
"Hey Blueberry." Josh, the gentle giant, called out with a smile. Goodness he regretted introducing Honos to him because he refuses to call him anything but that.
"We got a fresh face a floating here. How much you wanna bet he's gonna get a nosebleed?" The man teased, gesturing to the awkward gentleman who seemed hell bent on not looking at any of the dancers. Orion looked over and smirked, the guy was pretty, if extremely out of place in here.
"Nah, I don't take him being that much of a school boy virgin. He's probably just shy and polite. Maybe dragged along and wasn't told what this place is, ya know?" He offered, accent thick on his tongue and voice rougher from lack of water, one that was quickly fixed when a glass of water slid down his way.
"Cheers, Tinkerbell" Orion teased the scotsman before taking a swig.
"Okay, but you gotta admit, he's a bit red around the gills, right?" Josh pointed out, getting a nod. "Well...you should give him a greeting. Welcoming him to our fine establishment with your fine ass dancing. A treat to have one of the popular dancers giving him a private dance, no?"
"Why? It should be Julianne down there doing it. He's probably not into guys, Tink." Orion pointed out.
"Ten bucks he's a baby gay that will get his first awakening of the gays when he sees your ass in all of your southern belle glory." Josh grinned, hand out to shake.
"Fine, fine. If he's straight as a fucking arrow, you're babysitting Honos for a week" Orion countered.
Josh grimaced but took his hand, "deal, now go be a good host and say hi to that little mouse." Orion groaned, grinning all the while, gaining a loud laugh from the man before he made a beeline to Scott.
Once there, he tapped on Scott's shoulder and smiled, dimples deep and having a gentle air about him. "Hello, suga', are you new around here?" He asked

Scott had no clue that anyone was paying attention to him. Kyle and Garrett were debating where to sit - each finding a different dancer to be the most attractive and wanting to sit near them. They didn't bother to ask for his opinion which wasn't anything surprising. So Scott just stood there with his beer in one hand, the other fiddling with the end of his necklace.
Was it warm in here or was it just the blush on his face? His ears felt hot too.
He felt a tap on his shoulder and assumed he was standing in someone's way, stepping to the side at the same time that he turned halfway to see who was there and apologize out of instinct. But then his eyes found the man, ears heard his voice and while he hadn't thought it was possible, his face felt much, much hotter.
It took him a moment to register what the man had said - It also took all his willpower to keep his eyes from wandering down. He blinked and said, clearly confused, "I'm from Astaria." Then he grimaced because no, wait, he didn't think that was what the man had meant.
He heard a laugh he recognized as Kyle's and then felt an arm heavily across his shoulders again. "God, man, lighten up!" Kyle said to him before grinning at the blonde that had approached him, "Yeah it's his first time here." Kyle then paused and exchanged a look with Garrett.
Scott didn't like that look.
Kyle's arm left his shoulders but his hand was suddenly on his back and pushing Scott toward the blonde with more force than he thought was necessary. "Why don't you show our Scotty-" Scott couldn't help grimacing that time at the way Kyle said his nickname. "A good time? Privately of course." He grinned and then winked at Scott. "Our treat."
Neither he nor Garrett left him much choice, taking his beer and waltzing off to go admire another dancer together, leaving Scott alone with the blonde. Scott thought he must have looked like a deer caught in headlights, awkwardly cleared his throat, tried to compose himself but his ever hot face made him think he'd failed at that.
"I um," he stammered, looking at the blonde, eyes threatening to lower and then pulling his gaze away, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't uh - I don't know what a good time implies..." God, he probably looked like an idiot, admitting that. | ... feel the weight of the world over me tonight. if i break, if i break down this time, hope you know i tried ... atlas |

Orion's soft heart fell a bit for the awkward man before him. He seemed sweet and polite, with how red he became and how he refused to look lower than his face. It was refreshing, honestly. Most people who are awkward and red like the man before him tend to have eyes glued to his pecs, barely there abs, ass, arms or anywhere else with a look that can be on a teen with a dirty magazine. He disliked the look, it made him feel like an object, but he'd deal with it, as the pay is good, the security are amazing and that Josh is always down to take someone out for his crew.
Orion laughed lightly, thinking the man is ungodly sweet before he grimaced and placed a sharp smile as the sweet gentleman's friend came over. Baby's breaths, foxgloves, Lily of the Valleys, morning glories and wolf's banes bloom in his hair and snaked up his suspenders as the man's friend, newly named Scotty or perhaps Scott if that look was anything to go by, told Orion to give him a good time, regardless of how uncomfortable the man is. And that is without talking about how rude and Kevin-like he was. It reminded him of popular boys taking a typical nerd and forcing that boy into things that make him feel uncomfortable, but will make him well liked by those popular boys. It was disgusting. And to leave the poor man alone when it's his first time? Unthinkable with proper friends.
Orion took a deep breath to calm down, flowers melting away a bit, leaving a few baby's breaths and wolf's banes in his hair. "Well...I'm going to do what I usually do for first timers who are uncomfortable like you. This isn't the first time that I had a lovely person ditched by shitty friends for them to...'have a good time'." He frowned. "A good time is getting a lap dance or a strip tease by myself or my coworkers. But, I can always bring you into a private room and play a random card game? Go fish is popular until people are comfortable enough to pursue the lap dance?" He offered, sweet as honey and accent rolling off his tongue. Josh liked to call it his 'Southern hospitality in a thong' while Orion just calls it common decency and respect.
"You don' have ta partake in the lap dance or anythin'. You can always fib to them boys about what happened in that room. It stays between us, the truth, hun. And because that fella took your drink, I can bring one for you too. On me, regardless of what it is" Orion smiled and brushed curls out of his eyes, trusting the man to not take the most expensive liquor because he was being generous. "If that seems fine and dandy with you, that is. Your comfort is important and I refuse to not respect it like those boys did."

Scott honestly wanted to go home. He wondered if this was how Ivan felt anytime he left his apartment. He wasn't sure he'd ever felt so uncomfortable or embarrassed before. Would it be rude if he just left and let his friends deal with the consequences of their upcoming drunkenness?
He blinked when he noticed the flowers. Had they always been there? Surely he would have noticed them before? His anxiety must have been getting to him, leaving him less observant. He winced when the man pointed out that he was uncomfortable because that meant it was obvious.
"I'm... fine," he insisted, not able to get his tone even close to believable. He didn't want to worry some guy that was simply trying to do his job. At the explanation for a good time, his face felt hot all over again. He couldn't decide if it'd be more humiliating to just leave or if he should stay and stick it out. Either way he was highly likely to be uncomfortable, embarrassed, or both.
"I'll be fine," he said, deciding that he'd just have to get through this night and then he could forget it happened and never put himself in such an uncomfortable situation again. After all being coddled like a child sounded embarrassing to say the least.
He swallowed awkwardly. "Can do the um - the usual." He could feel eyes on him and had a suspicion it was Kyle and Garrett. Honestly a break from them wasn't a bad idea. He fiddled with the end of his necklace more, face still warm. Orion sighed, knowing that he wouldn't be able to get Scott to change the answer, not with his... 'friends' watching. So Orion put on a smile and made himself look sweet and friendly before taking Scott's hand and leading him to his private room. Honestly, he'd rather deck those two, but he can't. What he did was drop a signal at Josh about kicking out the duo or straight-up banning them from the establishment. Josh will decide whether they're banned or not. As is, he touched Josh's arm when the taller man passed by to head to the duo.
"Ya know, suga', it's okay to not be fine," Orion said in passing, looking back at Scott. "But I'll give ya a grand time. We're heading to my private room. I don' do dances out here for personal showin's" He explained as he weaved through the crowd. "But don' worry, I'll treat ya good. We will talk about rules and the color system prior, though." He turned around and took both of Scott's hands, walking through a doorway.
The room was a small room, yet soothing in greens and blues. Various flowers were painted on the walls, while a few of them were fake flowers glued onto the wall. There's a queen-size bed tucked in the corner with thick and soft blankets and pillows on it, for nights where Orion needed the sleep. Off tucked in another corner near a tiny closet is a small work desk that held his makeup and other small belongings. There was a picture of a younger him and a laughing toddler holding a sparkler on the desk, right next to another picture with about 10 or so people in it of various ethnicities and ages. It's a homey room, even in its sparseness.
"Let's make your night rememberable, rosebud" He grins, closing the door behind Scott with a quiet click.

This was a mistake. He already knew it before he was led into the room. His anxiety was only building, something that didn't often happen to him and he usually just had to deal with when it came to Ivan. He shouldn't have agreed to go out with those two; he'd always known what they were like. He'd known he wouldn't have fun. He'd known it'd be uncomfortable.
The door behind him closed and his anxiety spiked, a brief green glow appearing than disappearing from his eyes. His throat felt thick. A green glow came and went from his left hand. "Can I - Can I sit down?" he asked, voice forced out as he was already moving and taking a seat at the edge of the bed. Once he sat down, his legs felt too heavy to move. Breathing felt hard.
Shit. This felt like the panic attacks he'd seen Ivan have. He tried to focus on his breathing but it was too hard and he simply quietly gasped. He knew how to help Ivan with an attack but he couldn't ever remember having one himself - despite how familiar this all felt. He didn't know how to help himself.
His eyes glowed green again and for longer this time. The entire building momentarily shook as his powers latched onto it, increasing the gravity. He tightly shut his eyes, trying to hide the glow, trying to breathe, trying to gain control back. His powers latched out and decreased some of the gravity in the room, causing some of the small items on the work desk to float an inch or two off the desk's surface.
He reached out blindly, eyes still tightly shut, hands grasping onto the other man the second he found him, knowing he needed something - someone - to ground him. | ... feel the weight of the world over me tonight. if i break, if i break down this time, hope you know i tried ... atlas |

Orion raised a hand to indicated the bed for Scott, raising an eyebrow in concern when the man seemed out of it. He noticed the slight green glow and noticed that Scott was falling into an attack, something he learned to pick up with his younger siblings. He grabbed a sweater and put it on, walking over to help Scott and squeaking a bit when his arm was grabbed.
"Hey, rosebud." He spoke, voice calm and in his normal Scottish lit. He knocked Scott's knees open a bit and stepped between them. "I'm going to reach out and touch you." He spoke calmly.
He ran a hand through the man's hair and pressed Scott's forehead against his chest. "I want you to focus on my heart. Focus on the beat and follow my breathing. I'm here for you. Now breath in...and out." He murmured, pressing his face in the man's hair and taking deep breaths, just like he was taught to.
