Timothy Smith and Donny Richards like this

Avonlea's parents resided within the area of Haven, much to her dismay. She hated that they moved there shortly after her move in with Aegis and as financial situations deterred them from a nicer neighborhood, it was just something they had to get used to. Visiting them was just half of the reason that she had decided to go into Haven without notice and after a few hours of catching up and multiple hugs in departure, Nitro started on her way back to town. It was one thing to walk in the sunlight, but the joy in spending time with her parents brought down the sun sooner than expected.
Even though the colors were still delightful, with the shades of purple, pinks and bright oranges dancing in the sky, Nitro tried to navigate through the town and streets using the white tipped cane as much as possible. The broken sidewalks was treacherous already and she barely knew the streets as it was. Still, without the sunlight to make the path more visible, she merely left it to instinct.
Some yards before the bus stop, Avonlea paused a moment, listening to the group of people lurking around the corner. It piqued her interest as the words seemed jumbled except for the mention about a doctor and something else that was a bit enticing to listen in on better.
Nitro moved off to the side, catching her foot and her cane a few times before she felt the two walls behind and in front of her as she eavesdropped on the conversation.
"Yeah... he's not cheap but it's good medicine that he's given us. He practices solely for himself, so if you need a good vet, let him know I sent ya..." Nitro chuckled to herself, placing a hand over her mouth and rolling her eyes. She was just now understanding that the conversation was nothing that she was expecting it to be. She tried to guide her way back out, but as she tapped the ground, something in front of her caught her off guard that wasn't there only moments ago.
"Lost?" The man's voice was low, codling as if trying to ease a child's biggest fear. Nitro shook her head and looked to the other figures around him but they soon scattered off, promising to meet at another time. "Hey, tomorrow. Six o'clock. Don't be late -"
Nitro again prodded her stick around in front of her, tapping his shoe once in the process even though she could see his figure clearly. “If you don’t mind, I need to be on my way. The bus will be here anytime, I’m sure.”
The man nodded, moving out of her way and then a woman’s voice came up to her as well calling for the man beside her. Herald, the woman’s voice uttered, grumbled when he was told to leave her alone. Nitro nodded to her in thanks and passed by the man without another word.
The ever darkening sky threatened to collapse on her world sooner and sooner. The amount of time it was taking the bus to arrive had her heart hammering against her chest. She wondered if calling John would ease her mind or maybe someone else from Aegis. Surely someone would be around Haven, if not close enough to drop in. She dipped into her bag, feeling for the phone and for the numbers she’s memorized with each beep sounding like music to her ears. The ring on the other side came through three times before a man’s voice came over the speaker.
”Hello?”
“Colonel. It’s Nitro. Is it poss - HEY! Gimme m...” Nitro’s attention was suddenly taken from the call as fingers wrapped around her phone, jerking it from her hands while doing the same to the bag that had been wrapped around one of her shoulders. She clenched onto it tighter, pulling it from the assailant before a hand on her own gave her the only thing she could do to protect herself.
Nitro asserted her powers against the man. His fingers curled backward against their will and his screams were suddenly filling the air around her. Her phone dropped to the ground, cracking immediately as she kept her fingers wrapped around the man’s wrist until a sudden jerk of his own strength to rip himself from her spiraling onto the ground.
Gasping, Nitro stopped as she rolled to her side and things felt foggy for a moment. Her world spinning as her previous location is dismissed. She no longer knew which way she had just come but the sound of a bus passing by brought the realization to reality that she was stuck for a little longer. “Dammit…” She cursed using her hands to push against the ground before she realized she couldn’t bend her left arm. She couldn't feel her fingers on her left hand and the pain was beginning to come to a head.
She bent her head down, to focus on the injury and to lessen the pain but she couldn’t seem to focus on the area. Had she done too much unhealing to the guy? She felt her head sway as the pain diminished within her elbow slightly, but a woman’s voice and a hand against her shoulder brought her out of her healing mode.
“Miss, you alright?” Nitro cursed under her breath. She had only began to heal her injury but the interruption caught her off guard and she gently shook her head. The woman’s arm brought Nitro closer.
“You need to see the doctor… let’s go.” She assisted Nitro up and picked up her phone in the process. “That dumbass shattered your phone. I’d lend you mind, but I don’t have one. I’m sure someone will at the clinic.”
Nitro tilted her head. “But it’s too late of a night?” She flinched and asked about her bag and the cane. With the items retrieved, Nitro wondered where this clinic was she was being taken to.
