The Last Laugh
"Wonderful! Enchanting! So my cordial invitation has been accepted, the winds of fate guiding you, downwards... Ever downwards... Into my kind and loving arms! Ah ha ha! You stand upon my stage now~ at the precipice of something grand! Something awful. My greatest show unearthed! Now that you’ve arrived, and now that we’re alone.... But one fatal inquiry remains; shall we make love? Or shall we make war? I know what I want... Mmhmhahahahahahhahahhaaaah!"
About: "All about me~ as it should be!"
Francis Fortunato, at first glance he’s a charming but aloof pretty boy with a gambling addiction and a penchant for skipping college classes. Beneath the mask the veneer and the falsities lies a dark secret. At night, he takes the guise of some feathered Venetian jester, cackling and cruel. A trickster and a conman. A powered one at that. His powers revolve around karma. Specifically the bad karma of everyone on earth. All the vice and sin of the world around him, it pulsates through his veins. But, one boy can’t contain all that bad juju. It needs somewhere to go! It excretes through his skin and manifests as plain and simple bad luck. Mostly upon him. All his life, especially his childhood, this evil ick screwed him over. A relentless plague of bad luck tormenting him at every turn. From little things like accidentally spilling O.J. all over his crush, to a sudden inexplicable case of rabies befalling his childhood dog which in turn tried to maul him, to at one point his school bus running him over. All the evils of the world oozed out of his flesh. Every petty act of evil, every Machiavellian betrayal, every political lie, all stabbing and twisting into him like daggers. He grew in this misery, and in his teenager deduced something... If he sent all that bad luck elsewhere, it wouldn’t manifest on him. The more heinous the act, the less bad luck would rebound on him. Now, he’d have vengeance. Vengeance against the world that did this to him. Vengeance against all of humanity’s hate and horrible degeneracy. ‘Pon that night, poor unfortunate Francis Fortunato would have the last laugh. For he who laughs last, laughs best.
Family: His parents are dead, and he is alone and happy. I’m open to the idea however
Friends: "Friends? Of course! Some company for this carousel of carnage! Oh, what fun we’ll have... Hahhahahahahahaaah!"
On campus, Francis is actually surprisingly popular. With a menagerie of cronies and sycophants swayed by his odd yet delightful charm. He’s always seen amongst some ensemble of stereotypes, mean girls and jocks and other spineless faceless abominable creatures. But these are his fake friends, those which act as a rouse and a matter of pride. He despises all of them. He despises humanity in general, truthfully. No, it’s not often that another living being catches the Last Laugh’s interest and ire. But, when it happens, he’ll cling like a mosquito to blood. Mostly, he just wants other lunatics
Akira Hayashi : Something currently under development
Lovers: Open
Francis is promiscuous to say the least. Frisky and generally unchained. A heart breaker, and proud of it. He finds the whole sordid affair to be rather entertaining, actually. He despises humanity, so much so that to break a heart fills him with boundless joy. He’ll entertain the idea, but you’d have to be pretty captivating to keep him around...
Enemies: The party poopers... The selfless dopes that try and spoil the Judas jester’s fun! Ew! He hates everyone, but these are the lot that really grind his gears
Interested In: Chaos, fun and horrific merriment mostly.
