ABILITIES:
SKILLS:
WEAKNESSES:
- Enhanced Vision: An ability he inherited from his mother, Caleb's sight is enhanced compared to that of the average person. This ability includes night vision and microscopic vision, as detailed below. This also allows him to have "20/20" vision and see things clearly when he concentrates and focuses on looking at something, someone, or simply his surroundings. This also helps him see through fog and even see clearly underwater.
- Night Vision: He's able to see in darkness, including the pitch darkness of caves. He has to consciously focus to get this vision to activate.
- Microscopic Vision: He's able to focus his vision on something - be it an object or a person - and essentially zoom in on what he's looking at, viewing it at a microscopic level as if he was using a microscope.
- Enhanced Accuracy: While he doesn't have perfect accuracy, he's able to accurately fire or throw various objects, mostly weapons, at an inhuman rate, hitting his target majority of the time. This ability, like his others, isn't a passive one and requires concentration and focus to use.
SKILLS:
- Combat: Due to training with the Cabal, he is highly skilled in combat.
- Stealth: He's trained in and become quite skilled in the art of stealth, able to remain unseen by most people when on missions for the Cabal.
- Marksmanship: Going hand in hand with his enhanced accuracy ability, he trained in marksmanship without the use of his accuracy in order to further his skill when he does use his ability.
- Weaponry: He's trained in and skilled in the art of using various weaponry, though he prefers using a sniper rifle, he can also put up a good fight with swords, knives, pistols, and whips.
- Assassination: Specifically with a sniper rifle, he's been sent on a couple assassin missions for the Cabal, growing this skill of his slowly but surely.
WEAKNESSES:
- Only Human: He's not invulnerable. He can be harmed by any weapon, disease, poison, etc. that harms the average person.
- Physical Toll: Depending on the strength he uses his power at and how much he pushes his limit, his abilities often take a toll on his body. This can range from headaches, physical pain, a bloody nose, coughing up blood, vomiting, and even passing out.
- Needs to See: He needs to see in order to accurately fire a shot and in order to use an of his vision-related abilities.
- Daddy Issues: The topic of his father, who he believes is a deadbeat that left his mother, is a sensitive one for Caleb and an easy way to upset him. This has also left him with some abandonment issues.
- Concentration: He has to concentrate in order to use any of his abilities. If he's unable to focus or concentrate, it affects how well he can use his abilities.
Appearance
GENERAL: Caleb stands at six feet tall. His skin is an ivory tone. His hair is dirty blonde, straight, and cut short. The irises of his eyes are a deep green shade. His sense of style isn't anything specific, though he'll often just wear a t-shirt and jeans if he's off duty. He tends to wear his costume or a professional suit when on the job for the Cabal. He has a few small scars littered across his body from training.
COSTUME: Caleb is covered from head to toe in black with subtle touches of red, white, and blue accents. His mask covers his whole head with white over where his eyes are. The mask is made out of breathable material, allowing him to wear it for long periods of time. He wears a military style jacket over a long-sleeve shirt. He wears pants with combat boots on his feet. He has a belt with a pistol holstered on his left hip and a pack of ammo on his right hip. He also wears a chest sheath and has a combat knife sheathed on the right side of his chest and a Bowie knife sheathed on the left side of his chest, often hidden by his jacket. When sent on assassin missions, he has a sniper rifle strapped to his back. He wears two items that appear, at first glance, like watches around each wrist. Each one is linked to the communicator he has in his ear and has a tracking function for the Cabal to know his whereabouts while on missions. They can also each summon a light blue energy shield to block attacks. They're also hooked into the Cabal's computer network and set to monitor his health, warning him when he starts to push himself too hard.

Personality
Caleb is work oriented, preferring to focus on the task at hand whether with the Cabal or in his personal life. He doesn't have any friends, avoiding getting close to anyone aside from his mother, though he's neglected to tell her he's working for a group like the Cabal. He has no qualms about working for the Cabal and doesn't necessarily believe everything they tell him. His reasons for working for such an organization remain unclear; sometimes he doesn't even seem to know himself.
Aside from his mother, he keeps to himself, rarely socializing outside of work with other agents of the Cabal, afraid of getting close to someone only to be abandoned. He struggled with feeling abandoned and unwanted by his biological father, despite how much his mother insisted the opposite was true, while growing up, recklessly acting out and getting into a lot of fights at school. He still has a short fuse when the topic of his father is brought up and though he's since graduated from school, he still occasionally gets into fights at the local bars.
When he's on a mission, he's cold and calculated, focused on getting the job done at whatever the cost. He doesn't always sleep well at night due to those costs but he continues on for reasons even he isn't always sure about. He tries not to think about what his mother would think if she knew he works for an organization like the Cabal, if she knew the Cabal existed but he wonders that a lot. He also wonders what his father would think, if he'd even care. He believes he wonders about his father far more than the man deserves.

History
Caleb was born in 1976 as the only son of Madeline Voclain aka Vista, one of the founding members and original pillars of Aegis. Unfortunately he was born with a rare disease, and a deadly one at that. The doctors weren't sure whether or not it was due to genetics, perhaps some side effect of however his parents got their powers, or random "luck." What they were sure of was that it was progressing faster than they could treat it. The decision was made to put him in stasis, which was purely experimental at the time. The stasis rapidly slowed down his aging, to the point where it seemed to completely stop, leaving him as an infant until he was released in 1990.
His birth certificate was changed to reflect 1990 as his birth year to avoid people questioning his age. He was also never told about the disease or the stasis that cured him.
Growing up, his biological father was never there and thus he never knew who he was. He grew up in Astaria, raised by his mother, who never dated or married, choosing to raise her son all on her own. His mother would tell him stories of her time in Aegis instead of reading children's books to him every night before bed.
Packages and letters with no return address would arrive in the mail for both him and his mother. Eventually he figured they were from his father and stopped opening them - he would keep them unopened in his closet or under his bed as a teenager but started throwing them away as an adult. He started fighting in school and causing problems in school after being made fun of for numerous reasons - kids thought he was gay simply because of how close he was to his mother (he still has no clue how that ever made sense to anyone). They also made fun of him for not having a father, made fun of his mother for being a single mother.

He was essentially kicked out of as many schools in Astaria as he could be before his mother sent him to military school at sixteen years old with the help of her former teammate, the Colonel. Needless to say he hated every second of that school but managed to stick through it until graduation. The distance from his mother hadn't put any figurative distance between them but he still felt something was missing from his life. Shortly after graduation, he bought a motorcycle, left in the middle of the night, leaving his mother a note saying he was fine and would be back, that he had his cell phone on him, and took off on a cross country trip, bringing along an old gun his mother gave him as a graduation gift, telling him it'd been used by a teammate of hers during the Vietnam War.
At some point during the trip, he met a man by the name of Perses. He doesn't fully remember when, how, or why, but the next thing he knew, he was working for the Cabal as an agent codenamed Quickshot. When he returned to Astaria, a year after he graduated from military school, he moved back in with his mother until he was twenty-three years old, when he managed to get his own apartment. He currently works as a security guard at the local museum, a job he got thanks to connections with the Cabal, though his main source of income remains his membership in the Cabal.
