The book was turned to page 321 as she twirled the pen from her left hand to her right hand and as the big shaped jeweled rings gently shined across her fingers. She let out a sigh and spoke finally. "So he left his book?"
"Yeah," the dark headed woman murmured as she finished rinsing her hair. The trip up the river had taken longer than she had anticipated but finally she had found some peace because a cell was never going to keep her inside. "I need you to take it to him. I would but I am still wanted and I need to lay low. I have put everything that he needs in it and when you get there you are going to need to ask for Micah."
"Okay but you realize that you are just feeding me to the wolves right?" she asked the woman as she moved from the spills of water that were starting to splash everywhere.
"Wolves are just overgrown puppy dogs Decipher," the woman said as she reached over and finally grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her hair as she took a minute to finally look at the young lady and then went on. "That book is very important to him and I expect that he forgot it in the rush of trying to get out of here. You are going to want to change your earrings before you go though" the woman added as she reached over and gave the triangle shaped earrings a small flick. "Give the new hoop earrings I bought you a twirl."
"Okay. I promise as soon as I can I will let you know when I have found them. I seen him recently when we took care of dad's ashes anyway so should not be too hard and if I know him like I think.." her voice trailed off as she looked the book over. Page 321 was nothing but a picture of elements with a big X across them and small things written in the corners. The one she noticed the most as she continued to twirl her pen was one that said perception is not always reality. She looked at her Aunt.
"..and Ribbon?" she asked her aunt but her voice was a little shaky. Her aunt thought a minute and spoke. "Rainbow you mean? Well that's his nickname for her anyway. He always used to get so excited when she would twirl her hair into a ponytail as they got older and when he watched television I'd look at him and he would simply say "That's my rainbow." Her aunt continued but shook her head. "No matter how many times I told him her name was now Ribbon, he was determined that she would forever be known as his rainbow and he looked at me and he said "Ribbons and rainbows, just ribbons and rainbows."
The young lady picked up the book and turned the bookmark down as she closed the book so that she would not lose the page and so that it would be exactly where he had left it when she handed it to him as she spoke to her aunt. "Well he always was kind of odd but I am sure he knows what he's doing and that he plans on tying it all together." The woman nodded and spoke. "Go Deci, your cousins are waiting."
The dark haired woman handed the young lady the brown satchel bag and watched as she left. The dark haired woman did squeal just a tad as she made sure to lock all the locks and take a seat in the corner. It was almost time.
---Some amount of days later---
"So how are we going to do this because you know Ribbon is not going to agree to it" she said as she looked at him. The two of them were closer than he was with his own sister and that was okay with him as he finally turned and spoke to his cousin Deci.
"Well as you know Ribbon has always been at the front of it all and that still remains now. She is just so closed off right now and I am pretty sure all of that cosmetic surgery is just her way of dealing but it is not really dealing with the emotional toll just the physical so we," he took a minute to point to her and then point to himself before going on "are going to simply activate her. Right now she is truly as inactive as her nickname of Stasis implies but I want to push her slow to motion."
She shook her head as she listened to him speak. "With enhanced perception?" She laughed because while she did not mean to be disrespectful to him it was a bit strange. He looked at her and simply said. "Yes Decipher and well a little help from my friend. She's coming soon I think...I just need to figure out how to put her in, but fun ahead. Come on I will help to get you settled in and then I'm going to go talk to my shield and see if she wants to protect one last time." She laughed and spoke. "She is not your shield and that context makes you sound possessive." "Well a shield how about that?"
