ABILITIES: Construction - Lana has the ability to look at her surroundings and find what she will need to build almost anything she can realistically conceive. She is then able to construct what she's conceived with those parts in a much faster time than anyone else would be able to. Her mind instantly identifies what components around her will serve the purpose of what she's trying to do, and further optimizes her process as she's building. Depending on how much she's able to focus and concentrate, she can create or repair something that would take hours to make or repair in 30 to 40 minutes.
SKILLS: Lana has a bachelors in engineering, which she has used to great effect in her repair shop. She minored in computer science as well.
She's good with math and has some minor skill in hand to hand combat, just enough to defend herself against the more rough customers that may try to push her around, although it depends greatly on having some sort of gear, gizmo, or gadget on her to help.
She has some skill at video games, which is one of her main hobbies, and has considered trying to compete at a high level. She likes to read, and can read at a fairly high level, often finishing several books in the span of a week when work is slow at the shop, if she can get the focus.
WEAKNESSES: Lana needs to have a basic knowledge of how whatever she's trying to build or repair works, otherwise she won't be able to make it. If she doesn't have the parts she needs around her, she can't build it. Lana has to either see or know of where parts are to be able to consider them for building use. As such, she makes a point to pick up as much junk and broken things as she can to reuse for parts. Lana's powers rely on her concentration and focus. If she's distracted, she can't really get things done at all.
Lana has a bad tendency to stay up late, usually working as the Craftsman late into the night, which has resulted in a lot of general tiredness, and a mild caffeine addiction, as she turns to coffee to stave off the exhaustion. If she doesn't get her coffee, she is prone to headaches and severe lethargy.
Lana is reasonably healthy, but not notably fit. Physically, she is a completely normal average human woman, if a little out of shape.
Lana suffers from mild ADHD, which makes it difficult for her to focus on work if it takes longer than she expects. Her shop is filled and cluttered with half-finished projects she's lost interest in, and now cannibalizes for parts for other things. She is on medication to mitigate it, which helps her maintain the business.

Appearance
GENERAL: Lana stands at a short 4'8" with dark, shoulder length hair. It generally lays pretty straight, with a mild curl toward the ends. She has a small, skinny frame, and isn't particularly fit. She has very fine facial features, and bright blue eyes.
She is very utilitarian and lazy in her dress, focusing on loose, comfortable, baggy clothes. Sometimes she even wears pajama bottoms into the shop. She usually keeps her hair up in a messy ponytail or bun to keep it out of her way, and generally doesn't bother with makeup. She keeps a small handgun she made herself on her person at all times, just in case, given she works in Haven.
She tends to slouch and shuffle when she walks, making herself seem even smaller, but when she's working she can become a veritable flurry of activity, scrambling all over her shop and climbing all over the place to get at parts.
COSTUME: When operating as The Craftsman, she wears even baggier, looser clothes, as well as a powered exoskeleton underneath them to hide her build, give her some extra height, and give her a little extra fighting ability if she has to get physical with any customers. She wears a nondescript mask that covers her entire face, and aside from holes for her eyes, is completely blank. However, it does possess a voice modulator to further hide her identity.

Personality
Lana is surly, grumpy, tired, and general done with life (not in the suicidal sense though) and depressed. She maintains a few friendships, mainly from college, that can get her to smile over her persistent "Han Shot First" coffee mug, but in general she comes across as a tired grump. She's very anti-establishment, and isn't a big fan of most authority. Still, she's not one to take any shit from anyone, and will gladly tell someone to fuck off.
If you manage to get through that, are polite, kind, and just kind of vibe with her, you'll find an incredibly loyal friend, although she won't be very outright affectionate at first. Even with friends, she comes off as very nonchalant and sarcastic, although when it comes to her friends there is undertones of love to it as well.

History
Lana was born in New York City to loving parents, John and Wendy. She had a relatively normal childhood, discovering her powers early on when playing with LEGO bricks around the age of 10. She embraced this ability to build and make things, and got a part time job working at various repair shops around town, and was generally seen as a cheerful, perky girl with a great relationship with her parents. One of her greatest joys, however, was watching all the super powered people that would regularly clash in the second biggest superpower capitol of the country. She never felt the urge jump into it herself, never really felt like she had right abilities for it, but she liked watching, seeing people fight for good and ill, watching good triumph over evil.
When she turned 18, she went to college, and started working on an engineering degree to further enhance her abilities for her chosen career path. She chose to go over to Astaria, so she could see more superpowered people in action, and it was here that adult life started to take it's toll. She worked her way through college by working at "Fat Hammer Repairs" part time, and just looking at the world in general and starting to understand more and more how society worked and operated, became more and more cynical. That, combined with work, schoolwork, and just struggling to pay the bills, made a very tired woman, done with everything in general. Once she graduated, she fulfilled her dream by taking over the business from its former owner, a little person named Richard Drier, who for all the world looked like your stereotypical fantasy dwarf. But even then, she found out a sad truth. If you do what you love for work, often what you love just becomes work.
Life became routine. Get up, get coffee, go to work, fix stuff, pay the bills, then go to bed and do the same thing again and again and again. She got a little thrill of excitement watching superheroes and supervillains fight, but that was short lived. She realized she could be a part of this without jumping into the fights herself. She made herself a costume, and began to start to advertise on the sly that she would fix and build gear for whatever heroes or villains needed it or wanted it. And thus, the Craftsman was born. Most of what she charges for people who come to the Craftsman are for parts, because really her goal is just to have some sort of passion in her life again, something to give her a thrill.
