Ardeen turned on his bike and grinned when he felt it practically purr under him. He hated loud bikes that made you damn near vibrate off with how it's built. So, he worked on his bike until it was still loud, but less eardrum shattering. And so that when you sat on it, it felt like a vibrating chair. He didn't know how the fuck he did it, but he didn't question it and shrugged whenever one of the boys looked at his bike in confusion and awe. Fuck, Turtwig rode on it one day and begged him to do the same with his bike. The young man's bike was currently in the shop, damn near done and ready to go. He was excited to see how it ran. The benefit about the bike not being so loud is that he didn't have to shout or yell and he adored that. When she got on his bike and wrapped her arms around his waist, his grin turned wicked. She wanted to go fast; he'll go as fast as he felt comfortable with her on his bike with him. He knew how fast his bike can go. He fucked around with it and knew it could and had reached in the 160's mph. But he didn't want to go faster than 110 mph with her. Not when she's not used to motorcycles. Fuck, she said she never ridden one. Luckily, he had to go the speed limit until hit the edge of town. That worked for him. He reaved his engine and flipped off whoever wolf-whistled in the shop before peeling out of the lot, laughing quietly as he easily weaved through various cars, going a bit above the speed limit. He gradually doubled the speed limit when he could and slowed down when he couldn't. He slowed down further when they reached the park, not wanting to hit pedestrians and knowing that the speed limit was 35. As soon as they passed by the park, going down a rougher road, he gunned it. The front wheel popped up for a split second before he leaned forward, pressing the wheel back on the ground from his weight when 25 mph became 75 mph. His eyes were bright, and his smile widened greatly when he heard Morgan let out a small scream and felt her arms squeeze his waist. He felt her heart beat fast against his back and chuckled. He loved her and adored her reaction. When the road changed from rough pavement to packed and smooth dirt road, he sped faster, hitting the low hundreds easily, knowing the road will be relatively straight for a good while. He refused to go above the current speed limit, not wanting to worry her on his possible lack of control should they go faster. Even if they're not going as fast as the bike can go, he loved feeling her cling to him, hearing her scream or letting out shocked gasps when they go fast or turn corners, feeling her heart slow down and speed up when he does. He wouldn't have it any other way. Not for anything in the world. Morgan Faye

She wasn't sure what was more exhilarating. The speed, the wind nipping at her leather jacket and pants, the adrenaline coursing through her veins just from the sense of velocity and the carefully tuned vibration of the bike, or being just so close to him, holding him, clinging to his waist. She squealed and laughed as they sped through the city streets toward the outskirts, to this meadow he had mentioned. She pressed herself to his back as tightly as she could, not out of fear of crashing, but out of a desire just to be as close as possible to this newfound love. God, she had to watch herself. She had standards. Rules she had set for herself about dating guys. And this man was threatening to make her break every single one. When they pulled into the meadow and finally stopped, Morgan intentionally peeled herself off of Ardeen, albeit reluctantly. Leaving her helmet on the bike, she ran out into the center of it, spinning in exuberance and just taking in the beauty around her, arms stretched out wide. "It's gorgeous. I love it." She flopped down on her back, and looked up at the clear sky. Her mind was among the clouds, but not the ones hanging in the air. No, her mind was on this hammer boy that was stealing her heart. "Are you coming, hammer boy? I want you to tell me all about yourself. I want to know everything about you. Tell me who your parents are, who raised you, your childhood pastimes, your current pastimes. I want to know everything." Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen smiled and watched her spin and flop onto the ground. He already had his helmet tucked right next to hers when he walked to the meadow with his basket. He set it down near Morgan and kneeled down to give her and upside down kiss. He pulled away and kissed her forehead before pulling away to set up the picnic. With practiced ease, he laid out a lovely quilt and kicked off his shoes to show colorful mismatched socks with one having rainbow wiener dogs and the other having white constellations against a dark blue background.
"Come here, shoes off first. I'll answer yer questions if ye answer mine." He spoke, sitting down on the quilt and pulling out everything that was inside the basket. On the inside lid of the basket, there were a handful of polaroid pictures of couples and a family or two tucked into the leather straps.
"My current pastimes are drawing and trying new recipes. Most of the time, that is." He answered while pulling out a small fruit tart that looked like a flower. "Turtwig asked for these for his birthday, so I made them. I made a couple extras and thought you'd like them" He smiled proudly. "Tarts are hard to do, so I'm glad it kept the flower shape. Won twenty bucks, I did." He smirked and leaned close to her. "Never place a bet on a reasonably smart and stubborn man. Or egg him on. You'd find that he'd win a decent amount of times."
"What's your favorite book to read, if you read books? Because I'm not a big fan of reading, but I do like Charolette's Web." He babbled before offering her some raspberries. "...not the greatest of readers, so that probably doesn't help much."

Morgan smiled and hummed into the kiss. It was wonderful. She was falling for him hard, and she knew it. She rolled over and laid on her stomach, watching him set up the picnic, before getting up and going over to sit on the quilt herself, taking off her black leather boots and leaving them near Ardeen's shoes. She sat, putting the basket between herself and Ardeen, because she knew that she would just lean against him and melt if she allowed herself. She had to get to know him first. She took the raspberries and popped one in her mouth. "Your shop is really like a little family, isn't it?" She smirked and booped Ardeen's nose as he leaned close. "So, what you're saying is that if I want something out of you, I should suggest that you can't do it and put money down on it. Well then, I can get everything I want from you now." She leaned back, looking at the sky wistfully. "I love reading, all sorts of things. Mainly history and legends, especially around the middle ages. Things like Beowulf, King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, Robin Hood, Joan of Arc, stuff like that." She picked up one of the tarts and tried it, but not before wiping a bit of raspberry juice off of the corner of Ardeen's mouth. "I like Charlotte's Web too. I could read stories to you sometime, if you'd like, and have trouble reading." She noticed the pictures on the basket, brushing her fingertips along each of the figures. "Who are all these?" Ardeen hummed and nodded at her question about the shop. He popped a raspberry in his mouth and covered his mouth with a fist. "They are. They're the family that wants me. Myku is like a mum to me. The others are like siblings or uncles..." He shrugged.
He crossed his eyes when she booped his nose, surprised by the sudden touch. He grinned and shook his head. "All you have to do is ask. I'd do damn near anythin' fer ye" He murmured, eating some more of the berries.
"...I'd like that. We can make it a date, if you want? Reading, I mean." He offered, cheeks red with her wiping his mouth. He glanced at the pictures and smiled, cheeks darkening a bit. "They're first date pictures..."
He scooted closer and pulled her between his legs so that he could hook his chin on her shoulder. He pointed to each of the pictures. "Tha's me nana an' grandpapa. It was their first date about...60ish years ago. Then there's da with them and me aunties on their first picnic date. Grandpapa was able to finally have a picnic date with all of them after being sick for a long while. Da was 6 months old. Me aunties are his cousins that nana and grandpapa took in. Da and mother... Da, me 'n' nana 'n' me aunties on my first picnic date over 20 years ago. I was a few months shy of one." He babbled.
He pulled out an old polaroid camera and handed it to Morgan. "I... wanna keep the tradition and take one with you. That camera there has been used since the first date. Nana said that grandpapa bought it 30 minutes before their date and was late to pick her up because he wanted to figure out how to use it. Would you take a picture with me, please?"

Morgan smiled brightly at Ardeen's confession and flushed cheeks. Her own cheeks flushed when he pulled her closer. Oh, he made her heart jump and swoon. "Yes. I have a wonderful translation of Beowulf by Seamus Henry, I'll bring that next time." The pictures were adorable, as were the explanation of what they were, specifically. She found the tradition charming and romantic and by God she was becoming smitten with this boy, wasn't she? She turned the camera over in her hands, looking at its mechanisms, figuring out how it worked. She liked old things. Usually she was interested in things older than this, but this still counted and held her interest. "Mmm. There's just something about the way they used to make things. There's more care to it, more of a desire to have it last a long time." She had an idea. He wanted a picture, right? Well she was going to give him one. She moved quickly, not wanting him to protest or ruin the picture. With one hand, she held the camera out at arms length, pointed at the two of them. With the other she reached up, slid her hand along Ardeen's cheek to the back of his neck, and pulled him in to a passionate kiss, snapping the picture as she did. She reluctantly pulled away from him, breathless, and handed him back the camera, with the picture sticking out of the printer slot. "How's that for a picture, hammer boy?" Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen smiled softly when she looked at the camera. He was about to respond to her comment on the camera, about to explain that his grandpapa broke it and had to fix it himself when she pulled him into a kiss. He melted into the kiss and held her close, eyes closed and him breathless when she pulled away. He opened his eyes and looked down at the camera, confused, only to chuckle when he saw the developing picture. He knew his cheeks were burning something fierce when he pulled the picture out and gave it some good shakes, watching the picture appear and showing them in that passionate kiss.
He kissed her neck and cheek softly. "Well... it definitely is something I'm keepin' fer myself. A way to remember this moment and to keep you with me." He teased, pulling out his wallet and easily tucking it away. He tucked it back into his pocket and scooted closer, pulling her on his lap. He decided to do what she did and kissed her cheek while taking a picture at the same time, wanting another picture just for the basket, because he was sure as hell wouldn't add the one in his wallet to that basket.
He set the camera off to the side and gave her a proper kiss back before pulling away and just hold her. "You're addicting... I don't think I can handle not getting kisses from you for more than a few days." He confessed with lips against the back of her neck. "I don't think anyone's had someone bring so much life and excitement into their lives in such a short amount of time... I'm excited to see where this ends up."

She had started out sitting across from him, with the picnic basket between them. That clearly didn't last long, because now she was on his lap, and was being kissed and adored... she was melting. She hated that she was falling for him so quickly, but she was, of course, also falling for him. Incredibly fast. His lips on the back of her neck were giving her goosebumps. Just... everything about him. How kind and sweet he was, not just with her, he wasn't just trying to get into her pants, but with everyone at his shop. His willingness to jump to defend her the night before... all the drawings in the precious sketchbook she now owned. She had a picture of this man that she adored. "I'm excited too. Do you have any questions for me? I'm the one that's asked everything so far and learned about you. What do you want to know about me?" Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen hummed and wrapped one of his arms around her waist, holding her close and just enjoying the feeling of her on his lap. He kissed the side of her neck and hooked his chin over her shoulder again, lost in thought.
"...What is your childhood dream? One that you hope will come true to this day?" He asked, curious. His free hand rested on her thigh and he absentmindedly started to trace random shapes as he waited for her answer. "Mine was... a lot of things, but one of the simpler ones was to repair my da's bike. Which...I achieved." He smiled, proud. "It was busted up real good when I got my hands on it."

"Mmm." There was just so much simple pleasure in just being with him. Sitting on his lap, the cuddling. It was so nice. She'd been intimate before, with other boyfriends, but there was something else here. Some kind of... spark. Connection. He wasn't with her because their families thought it might be a good move or because he was from money and she was from money and well they both needed heirs right so they might as well see if they worked together. No, this was just a whirlwind night that blossomed into something more. and she loved it. She reached a hand up and started gently playing with his hair, gentle tugs and tousles while she mused. "I don't know. When I was little I always wanted to be one of King Arthur's knights. You know how they say he'll return someday, when Britain needs him? I always thought that was going to happen any day,, and he'd need me, a little Welsh girl from Cardiff, to be one of his knights." She laughed. "It may not be for King Arthur, but I guess I have made that dream come true. I'm a knight in shining armor to some people, as Arcadia." She sighed contentedly, leaning back against Ardeen, feeling his heartbeat, his breathing. He was intoxicating. "Why do you send me spinning so, hammer boy? Why have you seized my mind so that you're all I can think of? We haven't done anything besides talk and kiss and already I'm obsessed with you. Answer that question for me, if you can."
