School was something that Cal had always enjoyed, something about learning was very satisfying to him, but that doesn’t mean that school was easy every day. Today was one of those days. He had been up for over 24 hours trying to finish a project, not because of his powers for once, and he was at a point where he was just stuck. He was to the point where he was seriously considering slamming his head into a wall when he decided that the perfect solution would be to take himself out for the night to refresh.
The club was crowded, more crowded than he had thought it would be when he left his house, but he stood in the long line to get in and waded into the throng of people to make his way to the bar. At the bar, he was ignored for about 5 minutes before he was served his first drink and quickly finished it before asking for a second. This led him to where he was, propped up against a wall, sipping his second negroni and casually people watching. He was tired, but he felt himself becoming more and more energized as he let the pounding music and alcohol flow through him. He let his eyes stray from the dance floor and looked down to his nearly empty drink. He sighed, before quickly pounding the remaining liquid in his glass and started back towards the bar for a third, however, because of the crowd, he was knocked off balance and his head met the chest of a stranger.
“Oh shit!” He said, quickly regaining his balance and looking at the person he had just collided with, “Sorry man!”
