Ardeen slept like shit but he felt like he was on a high of another lifetime after last night. Goodness, he couldn't stop smiling and his employees took noticed. Like all good employees turned friends, they teased him mercifully and tried to figure out why he's smiling like a love-sick fool. Which, to be honest, he was. Granted he wouldn't use that strong of a word, but he was intrigued by the whirlwind that was Morgan. She was snarky and could hold her ground, but was easy to fluster and seemed to be interested in him. That and she was willing to trust him enough to be half naked and to try a new drink? It was...amazing.
"Aigh' aigh'. Ge' off me arse, ya right pricks" He complained, cheeks flushed at the newest ribbing from his oldest and longest employee. He pointed to the woman with the cup of double expresso macchiato that her husband brought him and raised an eyebrow. "If I tell ye one thing abou' her, will ye lay off o' me?" He asked.
"Oh, so she's a girl? Yes, I wanna know something about the woman who's making you act like a fuckin' school boy. Pigtail pullin' and all" She teased, laughing when Ardeen turned bright red and ran a hand down his face with a loud groan.
"Fine. Fine! She's an uzumaki. A righ' vortex of beauty an' snark an'...yeah. An uzumaki." He mumbled near the end, even more flustered. The woman snorted and patted his shoulder, knowing that she was the one to tell him a bit about her home.
"Well she sounds like a wonderful woman. You best not scare her off or work yourself into some stupid thought." She scolded. "Not like the last two you scared away. Although, I wonder if she's made of stronger stuff then that boy and that girl. I hope she is to deal with your brand of dumb and stupid."
Ardeen ducked his head, ears burning and him thinking about the little note with her name and number. Thinking about the last two pages he finished instead of sleeping. Thinking about how he couldn't find himself to text her and just focused on drawing something that represented her. He didn't sleep that night with the various thoughts running free in his head. He was scared of what'll happen. But...he did hope that she'll be interested in him regardless of his dumb thoughts.
"...I think you'll be seeing her today. Should-should she stop by like she said she was" He hoped she did. He honestly wanted to kiss her again. Hell, most of the night was spent thinking about that kiss. About how she kissed him back. Maybe she'll kiss him again? He looked at his teasing friends who're back to work on various vehicles.
'...Or maybe not.' He thought, getting back to work on his own car.

"If you've got little ones, you might want to cover their ears for this one. Astaria police report that a small gang turned themselves in for attempted rape last night, but that's not the interesting bit. Apparently, they were all covered in cuts given to them by a woman wearing medieval armor of all things, and carrying a sword. They claimed that she threatened them, specifically telling them to turn themselves in or she would take that sword and, well, lets just say they'd be missing their swords. I don't know who you are, lady knight, but I like your style. Let's get back to the music, Up next, You Spin Me Right Round (Like a Record)." Morgan couldn't help grinning as she heard the radio announcer report on her antics the previous evening. There had been a new fire, a new vigor to her when she had re-engaged those assholes. They folded quickly, which was just fine with Morgan. She had something more important in her breastplate that she wanted to get home and look at. She'd already sent the drawing off to have it framed. That was the first thing she'd done this morning, after not being able to sleep a wink for thinking about him. How just... homey he felt. Safe. Simple. Like home. Homey. How his artwork just stirred her. How his lips tasted on hers. She was terrified that she was falling too fast. She'd done that once. There was a whirlwind courtship with some duke's son that her parents had paired her up with that ended in a broken engagement and hurt feelings on all sides. It wouldn't have worked anyway, she wasn't made for the life of a high society wife, and that's what Ferdinand wanted from her. But this though, there was something different here. A different sort of spark. No expectations between either of them. Just... him. She'd bought a motorcycle. She didn't know how to drive it. She didn't care. She'd learn. She'd get a license. She wanted to have more reasons to come to his shop and see him. Today, though, she pushed it down the street, listening to the radio talk about how she threatened the manhoods of half a dozen rapists, and smiled dreamily as she thought about her hammer boy. She shut the radio off as she got closer. There she went again, going too fast. "Her" hammer boy. Maybe it was a fluke. Some regretted spur-of-the-moment decision. Maybe he just wanted inside her armored panties. It didn't feel like that though. It felt different. She hoped it was different. She looked at the pristine, brand new motorbike, and realized that there needed to be something wrong with it to bring it in to be fixed. She started fiddling with things, looking for something she could pull off, and finally found a knob or a cap or something that she unscrewed and stuck in the pocket of her black leather jacket just as she wheeled it around to the front of the shop. The nerves kicked in when she saw other people there. Maybe he'd pretend he didn't know her. Maybe he'd pretend nothing happened. Her voice started weak when she called out. "H-hello. I'm looking for an Ardeen Medraut. I'd like him personally to work on my motorcycle. That, and I have a check for him, I'm purchasing some of his artwork." Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen grinned up into the car above him, hearing the exploits of Morgan. He laughed when he heard his coworkers wanting to thank their knight in shining armour for kicking those men right where it hurts for trying to hurt women. A few made jokes about the situation, ribbing each other and even him for loving badass people who give no fucks. He loved his crew so much.
"Well...now we know who we should flag down for help, don' we boys?" His oldest employee called out in a chipper tone. "Our noble knight."
"I'll definitely be doin' tha' myself" Ardeen called out just as he finds the bolt he needed to unscrew for the oil change. He unscrewed it and knew he was being lazy about it, but knew that the person will still get their car before the hour was up. That was until he heard Morgan's voice. He went to sit up but banged his head hard on the car and damn near tipped the oil pan over and get more oil on himself than he already did from dropping the bolt on himself and hitting the stream of oil. He started cursing loudly, gaining loud laughter from his coworkers, much to his embarrassment.
"Hello, love. Your boy is under that car right there. Give him a minute for him to find his head." The older woman chirped while casually lugging around two tires that she happened to be working on. "Cupcake, is this your Uzumaki?" She called out towards Ardeen.
Ardeen climbed out from under the car, holding his head in mild pain before wiping his face from any oil that hit him. "Myku, fuck off an' ge' ta work. Or no snicks fer ye." He shot back, even as he walked towards Morgan with a large smile while ignoring the dramatic gasp and 'Oh the betrayal!' behind him. "...Hi Morgan. Wha' ye doin' here with...a Royal Enfield Meteor 350?" He looked at the bike, confused. It was a beautiful bike, but...he didn't know she drove bikes. She didn't seem like the type of person who'd like motorcycles. He was about to reach over and touch her-no the bike! He was about to touch the bike when he realized he was dirty as fuck.
"Wai', lemme wash up before I touch ye or ye bike" He held his dirty hands, showing the grime and oil before taking off his shirt and getting wolf-whistled by one of the guys. "Oi, fuck off Jackie!" He hollered. He tucked the shirt in his back pocket and started to wash up. "Morgan, go ahead and jus' park it. I'll look at it in a minute. Do ye know wha's wrong with it?" he asked, curious.
He heard someone hit their head, but he didn't look at them. If he did, he'd see 5 very done people staring at him for being a dense dumbass and not realizing that the woman before him probably had nothing wrong with her bike. "...is he serious?" One of them whispered to the other. "Tha' bike has tha' new dealership bike look. Fuck. I don' think she's even ridden it"
"Eh, if it's that girl he was blushin' like a school girl earlier, then it checks out. You heard Myku. She's probably the whirlwind girl that he was talkin' about when I opened up with him earlier. That was before he realized I was there. Never seen boss that red before in my life. Not even with tha' bird or sticknthemud from before. Think Uzumaki will be good for him." Another whispered back.
"Did ye ge' home safe, azalea?" He asked while scrubbing with the orange goop, looking over at her with a smile that seemed permanently on his face.

"Shit! Are you okay?" Morgan almost just dropped the bike when he hit his head, but she did remember to put the kickstand down before starting to run over to him. She recomposed herself and pulled the biked around to a better spot when she realized he was fine. Then she almost lost all composure when the shirt came off, flushing a bright red in front of God and everyone. "O-oh. It's, uh, it's making a strange noise," she lied. That's why people brought their vehicles into shops, right? Weird noises? She swallowed and pulled herself together. "I did get home safe, hammer boy. Thanks especially to your help. I don't think I would have managed without you." She went over and set a check face down on the workbench near him and slid it to him. "Here. For the sketchbook. An even hundred, like we agreed to." Morgan didn't think anything of the check being for one hundred thousand dollars, it was honestly what she was meaning the entire time, and had assumed Ardeen knew that. "I can't wait to look at your artwork again. Did you sleep well, Hephaestus? I do hope I didn't muss up your sheets too much," she teased. She had to regain some verbal footing here. Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen finished washing his hands and turned around, not even bothering to dry his hands, walking over to Morgan and cupping her face in both of his wet hands before kissing her hard, yet softening it after the initial kiss, effectively shutting her up and kissing the cheeky smile off her face. In the shop, someone wolf-whistled, only to be stopped short when getting smacked upside the head. The rest of the coworkers exchanged money with teasing and ribbing towards each other. They all knew this would happen, but the bets varied on when it'll happen, how it'll happen, who he'd be kissing, and so on. So far Myku was gaining the most money from the rest of them, smirking as she collected bills.
He pulled away, breathless and a bit pink, yet having the softest look on his face. "I couldn' stop thinkin' about you las' nigh'. No' since ye lef' the shop." He breathed out, nose barely brushing hers with how close they are. "You are so beautiful, azalea." He smiled, feeling a bit shy and embarrassed since he straight up kissed her with no warning on his part. And in front of his shop too.

Morgan squeaked in surprise and delight that quickly turned into a soft moan as he kissed her. This was what she really wanted. It still was terrifying, it was happening so fast, but it felt right at the same time. Even with the audience. Her breath was heavy, her ears red with the blood pounding in them. She didn't care at the moment. She just let her heart take her. She grabbed his head and whispered "Hammer boy, just shut up for a moment," before pressing her lips to his again. It was hard, it was passionate, but it didn't go beyond that. No tongue or feeling anything up, not yet. She was firm in that they had to go on a date before that. At least one. Finally, she pulled back, breathless. "I knew the sketchbook was going to be a good excuse to come back. I take it that we can do a bit more than just a business transaction, judging by that greeting you gave me." All those doubts she had earlier about him not feeling the same as he did last night had evaporated like fog at noonday. She finally let him go, and waved awkwardly to the rest of the shop. "...hi." Even more money was handed to a smug Myku when Morgan kissed Ardeen, much to the annoyance of everyone in the shop. Ardeen, on the other hand, felt his knees go weak when she pulled him in for another kiss. He followed her pace and was perfectly content with how it was going, even if he very much didn't want it to stop when she pulled away.
He gave her a cheeky grin at her comment. "Of course. I can ge' behind givin' ye more kisses. Given the chance, I'd close up shop and spend the res' of the day jus' kissin' ye senseless in me bed. After a meal, though." He gave her a quick kiss and pulled away, hands letting her go to grab the sketchbook that was tucked in the drawer. He came back and snagged the check, turning it around to look, and made a noise that one wouldn't normally hear from his mouth. It honestly sounded like a squeaker toy or a balloon losing air than him.
"Hello, Uzumaki" Myku waved back with a smug grin while smacking one of her coworkers to go back to work, which led the others to follow suit. "Goodness, he wasn't wrong about you. Bu' don't mind us. We're just gonna be working over here. Just don't break him. We happen to like him and want to keep him ar-" She paused and turned to look at the noise that Ardeen made, who was very pale with large eyes staring at the check. "Cupcake, you okay over there? Thought you were a fuckin' mouse."
"Morgan, that's too many zeros." He choked out, holding up the check.
"Ah...money thing. I'm gonna go back to work. Uzumaki? Don't be a stranger." She leaned in close and whispered "Oh and good luck with that. My advice? Drop it in his account if you can." Myku smirked and went back to work, knowing that it'll take a bit for her boss to accept a large amount of money. He was always like that, especially with his art. Hell, it took her a good 3 weeks of shoving a hundred in his pocket or down his pants for him to finally accept the grand that she wanted to give him for a commission.
"Morgan I am not accepting this check" He choked out. "It's too much!"

Morgan smirked, staring at him dreamily. "I'm not that easy, hammer boy. I definitely need a meal before anything ends up in a bed." Morgan eagerly took the sketchbook and paged through it, adoring the beautiful art, just lost in the rush of this new whirlwind of happiness. She looked up concerned as he made a strange noise, a concern that turned into confusion. "It's what we agreed to last night, an even hundred." She smiled at Myku. "Uzumaki. I like that. And don't worry, I intend to spend as much time here as my college schedule allows. Hammer boy is fascinating." She turned back to Ardeen. "There's nothing to worry about, the check will clear, and it's the price we agreed to for the sketchbook. I know I made it out right. Here, I'll make it easier for you." She pulled out her phone and texted Lucan, asking him to find the account of Ardeen Merdaut and direct deposit the money into it. He'd done it before, so there shouldn't be an issue. "There you go, hammer boy. Money should just go straight into your account. Keep the check and cash it anyway. I still need you to look at my vehicle, after all. Consider it a bonus for services rendered." She moved over to the workbench near him, pushed some tools out of the way, and hopped up and sat on top of it. "So, hammer boy. Can I watch you work, or do you need privacy?" Ardeen Medraut

"A hundred dollars. Not a hundred grand!" He squeaks out, leaning heavily against his table as he stared at the check.
Myku smirked at her and went back to work, excited to see more of the woman around here. She thinks that Uzumaki will be good for her cupcake.
He made another strangled noise and slid to the ground, knees too weak to hold his weight. "Th-this is enough ta finish payin' off me shop! An' ta pay fer my ren' fer months!" He choked out. "W-wai', you pu' this in me account?! I-I can' take tha'! I-this is too much! Even fer me ta service ye!"
He leaned against her leg when she sat on his workbench and just took a moment to process everything. "No, ye can watch. Bu' I can' take the check. It's too much. 200 grand is jus' too much, princess."

Morgan looked at the replies from Lucan on her phone. "Lucan's looking for your account right now, but it shouldn't take too long. I don't think there's many people in Astaria that have the name Ardeen Medraut." She smiled and ran her hand through his hair as he leaned against her. She liked seeing him flustered at this. It's not like she needed the money, so she might as well give it to someone she liked that could use it. She had a lot of charitable causes picked out that she funneled family money to as well, but sometimes she just liked to drop some on random people. To be fair, Ardeen wasn't exactly random, but it wasn't the first time she'd given someone a big windfall. "Well, hammer boy, I'm not taking the check back, so you're going to have to decide what you want to do with it. It's the least I could do, and what I'm getting for it is worth every single penny." She hummed happily, and would have been content to just sit there with him against her leg and her hand in his hair as long as he let it be. But she knew they had an audience for the time being, and honestly she wanted to have a real date or two to make her guilt at how fast she was falling for this ginger Scot go away. "Do you know what's too much, Hephaestus? she asked, leaning down and whispering in his ear, "You, and all your muscles when you lose your shirt. You tend to do that quite a lot, I noticed. I suppose that means I should never let you represent me in poker. Either that or tie your shirt to your pants." Ardeen Medraut
