Morgan smirked as she continued to flip through the book. "You were a cute baby. You still are at least one of those things," she teased. Each page was its own story, unfolded some new aspect of him and what he found beautiful that she just found fascinating. She ran her hands along the beat up, decrepit spine, duct-tape holding it together. It had character. History. She was so engrossed in it that she didn't even realize exactly how he was leaning against her. Her headache was long forgotten, tonight's crusade laid to rest. Now she was fascinated by this boy with an affinity for hammers and his artwork. "I don't want a newer one. I want this one. I want to be able to see the love you put into it. Its almost full anyway." She continued to flip through pages, each one a new fascination for her. She especially loved the flowers he drew. Something about them just seemed alive, even though they were often just pencil drawings. She could almost smell them. "Does fifty sound like a fair price? Like I said, I can bring you a check tomorrow, and it will clear. I promise." Before he could answer, she heard a noise from outside. She knew those voices. They'd caught up. She moved quickly, grabbing her helmet, and Blutiren appeared in her hand. She flung it up to the rafters, sticking it solidly into one, and then she vanished in a flash of light from where she was sitting and appeared holding the sword's grip, now hanging from the rafters. There was a pounding on the door. "EY! YO! You got lights on! You seen a tin plated bitch go running by here? She owes us and we intend to collect!" Morgan watched in panic, her eyes falling upon the one thing that could give her away: Her gauntlet that she'd taken off earlier, and never put back on. And forgot to grab. She struggled with her helmet, trying to slip it back on one-handed without dropping it, and prayed Ardeen could just make them leave without a fight. Ardeen Medraut

He was about to reply but startled at the yelling. He damn neared squeaked when Morgan all but flew out of his arms and to the rafters above him. He sighed and turned around to go to the door. "Aye gimme a momen'! Unless ye wanna see my prick, ya fuckin' cunts!" he yelled at the men, looking around to find any incriminating evidence while dropping his shorts and tossing it to the floor, leaving him in tight green boxer briefs.
He grumbled to himself and did the same with the tank top when he tossed the peas back in the freezer and then adjusted himself to make it seem like he had a raging boner. He saw her gauntlet and easily popped it in a toolbox with one hand and snagged Mimi with the other as he walked to the door. He left the tea out, thinking he could fib about it, and hoped that Morgan would both forgive him and hold onto her items without dropping them because he doesn't think he could fib his way out of her dropping her sword. Helmet? Maybe. Sword? Fuck no.
He opened the door and glared at the men before him. "Wha' ye wan', eh? It's arse o'clock in the mornin'! I was a bi' busy, I'll have ye know!" He growled out, accent thick on his tongue. "An' no I haven' seen a tin bird this late at nigh'. The only bird I've seen was the one I happened ta be fuckin' before ye cunts decided ta start a yellin'. Aye, ye darn righ' scared the poor woman ta death with yer bloody bangin' on me door! An' before ye ask, I was fuckin' her in the lof' above us 'cause she likes it, thus the bloody ligh's bein' on, ya daf' cunts." He swung the hammer upon his shoulder. "Now can I go back ta pleasin' a woman? Somethin' ye bloody wankers obviously never done? I go' work in a few hours an' I wanna make sure she finishes before we go back ta sleep." He snarled, pissed.

Morgan's eyes were saucers as Ardeen dropped his pants. She almost dropped her helmet. She did have the sense to not loosen her grip on her sword, plummeting to the ground would not be a fun way to start a fight. The ringleader of these assholes didn't seem fazed at all by Adreen with Mimi and nothing but his briefs. He held up his hands, one holding a crowbar, in a gesture of mock surrender. "Hey, hey hey, we're cool, we're cool. We'll let you get back to your lovemaking, no problem. There's just a woman that owes us some pleasure. Bitch wearing fucking armor like she robbed King Arthur or some bullshit. S'why I brought me a can opener." He smacked his crowbar into his open palm. "You sure you didn't see her comin by here? This seems like the kind of place someone like her might use to hole up." Morgan looked over at the loft, getting an idea. This jerk hadn't quite bought Ardeen's story, but maybe she could help. She set her helmet precariously on the rafter, then held on with her now free hand so she could throw her sword again, this time at the loft. She prayed it didn't make that much noise that she'd be noticed. Once inside, she moved quickly. First thing she did was strip off her breastplate and pauldrons and her remaining gauntlet, and hell, she figured if Ardeen was going as far as he was she might as well make it as authentic as possible and stripped her upper half down to the skin. She grabbed the sheet off the bed to cover herself, and her still fully armored lower half, and made her way down the stairs, coming up behind Ardeen and laying her head on his shoulder. In her best American accent, she said "Mmm, babe, hurry and tell them to go away. I need you." That did the trick. "...You two seem busy. We'll let you get back to it." As they turned away and continued searching the street, one dick in the back tried to ask his friends if they could come back and have a turn with the scot's girl, but was ignored. Morgan breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed as she slid off of Ardeen's shoulder. "Thank goodness. You're a good actor, you know that?" Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen groaned and glared at the men. "If I saw a bloody knigh', I'd tell ye earlier when ye asked for a tin bird" He snapped out. "An' wha' ye tryin' ta say? Tha' I welcome the bloody fuckin' round table in ta me home? They don' do shite where I'm from an' they won' do shite here. I don' like them vigilante folks an' I ain' into fuckin' hidin' people in bloody suits. Metal or anythin'. She bloody sounds like one o' them stuck up arses." He was about to chew them out on forcing themselves on a woman when she said no when he felt Morgan press up against him.
Specifically, how warm she was and the fact that she felt topless and bare. His ears burned and he knew his neck was burning too. He just hoped that his face and chest weren't as well. As is, he continued to glare at the men, daring them to say something. "Aye. Now kindly fuck off so I can finish wha' I was doin' ye fuckin' cunts." He had to keep the act up. He had to focus on them and not her. Because goodness he really didn't want anyone to see him in his skivvies at 3 am. Especially if he reacts to her touching him like he's her lover. Especially with the damn voice she used.
Goodness, if he was a lesser man, he'd ask to actually have a tussle upstairs. If he was less of a gentleman, he'd make it look more real by pulling her closer and holding her in an intimate way. But no, he's not like that. He's definitely not like these men right before him. He was a Merdraut and was raised to the standards of 4 women. Merdrauts may produce ladies men but the women in their lives made sure to teach them to treat women right. To show the women that they're the Queens of their lives. That they were better than any other gentleman out there. Acting like these men before him would make it so that little him is gone and he himself in the hospital and on death's door. Not that he needed a threat to not act like these pricks.
As soon as they turned and left, he slammed the door and locked it, putting on the act that he was a busy man with his woman. But in reality, he slammed and locked it so that he wouldn't smash that fucking cunt's brain for trying to have a go with an obviously taken woman, if Morgan's act showed anything. He rested his forehead against the solid oak door and took a deep breath.
"Morgan. Please tell me yer jus' topless an' no' fuckin' starker?" He asked in a strained voice, adjusting himself so that he wasn't pultruding against the thin fabric of his underwear. It was uncomfortable, for one. And two, he knew he was bright red and that it travelled. He didn't want her to see how flustered he was when he knows it'll end with teasing. "An' please tell me tha' my shee' is black 'n no' the pastel green tha' I was plannin' ta pu' on today." He begged, not remembering if he changed the sheets and hoping it wasn't the one that was a lot lighter and possibly see through. He just got it and didn't test how sheer the fabric was against his unicorn printed bed sheet that he got as a gag gift from his younger cousin.
"An' I am so sorry tha' I implied tha' we were fuckin'. It worked before agains' some pricks tha' were houndin' my baby cousin. Had ta fib tha' I was her boyfrien' when they followed her home. Luckily she took after her pa an' no' me auntie." He clarified, feeling horrible. "Also, I ain' movin' until ye have a proper top. Don' wanna make ye anymore uncomfortable."

Morgan smirked, enjoying how much she flustered him. She gently tapped the back of his calf with her boot. "Don't worry, hammer boy, I won't spoil your innocence too much. Besides, I think I look lovely in green." It was the black sheet, but she wasn't about to tell him that right away. "I'll go get decent again, but with that performance you could almost believe that you'd seen thousands of sets of breasts." She paused before the door to the loft, joking tone in her voice entirely gone. "Thank you. You are a gentleman." She put all of her gear back on, and even took a brief trip up to the rafters again to retrieve her helmet before setting it back down on the table next to the sketchbook. "So... I should probably go after them again. My head is feeling better, and now I'm behind them. I'm following them, instead of the other way around. I can get the drop on them." She hesitated, lingered. She wanted to see what he was going to say before she left. Ardeen Medraut

He relaxed when he felt her boot, but tensed up a bit when she mentioned green. Oh boy, that brought many concerns, worries, and thoughts in his head. He did snort in amusement when she made the comment about him and his performance. "I mean. Ye ain' wrong. Mos' nude models tend ta be tit bearers. Some bein' lasses an' others bein' lads. Made a few transgendered folks comfor'able in their skin when they be posin' fer a group o' artis'." He shrugged.
He smiled against the door and shrugged. "I's the leas' I could do. Ye don' deserve wha'ever they wanna do. S'no' righ' fer a man ta force himself on a woman. An'...ye deserve respec', even if ye came down here ta help the lie. Thank ye fer trustin' me enough ta do tha'." He replied back. When he heard the door to his loft click shut, he sighed and went to grab his shorts. While the loft bedroom was open on one wall, it wasn't open towards the front door, but it was partially to the rafters and door to the rest of the apartment. Honestly, this building was built a bit weird, but he loved it.
Ardeen looked at her, completely clothed in what he was in before they had tea. He gave her a shy smile and shrug. "If ye feel well enough ta do so. Jus'...be careful. I ain' a fan of mos' vigilantes, but I do know there's some decen' ones ou' there. Don' be scared ta ask them for help, ya hear?" He sternly said, an easy smile growing in his mini-lecture. "An' ice tha' when ye ge' home. Ye be thankin' me when it's gone 'n' good in a few days compared ta a week an' a half."
He shuffled a bit, feeling a touch awkward, and just didn't want her to leave. Not yet, at least. And maybe not ever, if he was being honest with himself. He walked over until he stood in front of her and handed her a folded-up piece of paper. Specifically, a piece of paper that seemed to be ripped out of a notebook. "Be safe, sweethear'. An' don' be a stranger. 'S'not often I mee' a beau'iful knigh' at arse crack o' dawn." He smirked, having to tease her a bit.

Morgan smiled, took the paper, and tucked it into her breastplate. "I'll be a good girl, hammer boy. And don't worry. I'll be back." She reached out and tapped the thick, well worn sketchbook. "I need to pay you for this. I think after everything tonight, an even hundred is more than fair, and I won't take no for an answer." She looked at him, looked at those heterochromatic eyes, his still exposed chest. "You know, before I really, truly leave, I think a hero like you deserves a reward." She had to lift herself up on the balls of her feet to really reach, but she did so and swiftly moved forward and softly kissed his cheek. Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen blushed a bit and rubbed the back of his neck, a bit flustered. He glanced at her and proceed to shake his head, amused at her insistence on buying his sketchbook. "I hope you'll be back fer more than the sketchbook" He mumbled, face turning an even brighter red when he realized that he said that out loud. He groaned and covered his face, embarrassed.
He looked at her, mildly confused and cheeks still pink, only to burn red when she kissed his cheek. "I-I'm no' a hero, beautiful" He blurted out, flustered as all hell. "Now you? Yer a hero an' I think you deserve a reward yerself." He spoke, as one hand rested on her hip to pull her closer while his other gently grasped her chin like earlier, only he tilted her face up. He smiled and leaned down to give her a chaste yet firm kiss on her lips. "Thank ye fer savin' me, azalea." He whispered, with his forehead against her's. He pulled away with his hands being tucked into pockets, but not before leaving another faint kiss to her lips.

She was about to make a cheeky, flirty comment about how the sketchbook was a really good excuse, but suddenly her mouth was busy. Her heart was pounding, pounding harder than it did not more than an hour ago when she was in active combat. That kiss was exhilarating and terrifying. She was terrified of how quickly she was falling head over heels for this man. She wasn’t one to sleep around, but she had some experience in the relationship department. She wasn’t a virgin. Hell, she’d even been engaged once or twice. But this was happening incredibly fast and there was something there, a spark, that wasn’t there with any other relationship she’d had. Her eyes were locked onto his, while she slightly trembled in stunned silence. After what felt like an eternity, she summoned Blutiren, then stuck it in the door jamb, teleported to it, and quickly unlocked the door, opened it, and threw the sword into the side of another building and teleported off. She hung there for a long moment, just processing everything, but also noting that something felt off. Not about the kiss, but about her, hanging from the building. She realized she had forgotten her helmet when she brushed her hair out of her face. She sprinted back into the shop, wordlessly snatched up her helmet, and then made for the door, only to stop right in front of it. She wanted this, and she wasn’t going to give herself time to change her mind. She dropped the helmet, ran up to Ardeen, and pulled his face in and kissed him hard and passionately. After she pulled away, smiling, she ran back out the door, snatching her helmet as she did. Ardeen Medraut

He smiled at her at first, only for the smile to fall and him getting worried that he fucked up when she trembled and looked at him with wide eyes.
He fliched when she threw her sword at his door and made a small broken noise when she ran out the door, slamming it behind her. He was pale and looked down at shaking hands, breath a bit short and him very much feeling like he'll cry. Goodness, he fell for her fast and he knew that it was too fast but he haven't felt like that since his first adult relationship. It was then that he noticed her helmet and remembered her hidden gauntlet.
He grabbed the gauntlet and put it in the helmet, planning to tuck it away until she hopefully came back tomorrow. If she wanted to come back. Only for him to startle when his door banged open from the woman he was thinking about.
He opened his mouth to apologize but squeaked when she yanked him down and kissed him soundly. He had caught himself on the table so he wouldn't crash against her, but by the time she ran off with a smile, he was breathless, red, and wanting more. He laughed in pure joy and elation that she felt similar. At least that's what he got from that kiss. But he was beaming by the time he locked the door and turned in for bed.
"Goodness, I think 'm in love with a whirlwind" He mumbled to himself, fingers touching his lips and him feeling like a school boy. "...I can' wait ta see how this goes"
