Morgan acted reluctant when he offered a taste of his tea. She really was curious, though, the only way she’d ever had tea was straight, no cream, no sugar. Her parents felt it would make them more “proper.” She popped the pills and swallowed them with a sip of this man’s tea. It was really good, honestly. “Not bad. I’ll let you pollute my tea with th-that…” Oh. Oh he took his shirt off. Just when she thought she was getting on kilter, he had to do that and throw her off again. She hastily looked away and flushed, only for her to flush even more when he moved her leg and got very close. Her breath caught in her chest as he called her “sweetheart.” “Princess” broke the spell a little bit, she could tell that was teasing and she rolled her eyes, but still. She slowly reached up to hold the peas, her green eyes locked on his eyes. They were different colors, she noticed. She swallowed again. “Thank you,” she whispered. She had to regain her composure. She blinked, looked away, and focused on the tea. “So, hammer boy. Am I just supposed to keep calling you that or does my hero have a name?” Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen smirked at her, noting her green eyes and thinking they're lovely. "Told you, azalea. I'll make you a cuppa like mine. And you're welcome, beautiful." He turned and grabbed a packet of baby wipes and pulled out one, swapping his mug with the wet fabric and taking a swig of his tea. He grinned into his mug when he noticed the blush and turned away to let her calm down, doctoring her mug like his.
He handed her the mug and tossed the soiled baby wipe into the bin nearby. "I ain' no hero, bu' m'name's Ardeen. Ardeen Medraut. Owner of this fine establishmen' that you waltzed in. May I happen ta know the name of the gorgeous woman before me who pointed an equally beautiful sword a' me earlier?" He asked while scratching near his chest, leaving red lines afterwards because he's so pale.
He hopped onto the counter and sat crisscrossed, which allowed his shorts to ride up a bit. He set his mug down and grabbed the notebook near him and opened it, soon drawing with a pencil that was near him. He needed to focus and thought that Morgan was a perfect subject to draw while they talked. But he was feeling lazy and didn't want to go grab his actual sketchbook and charcoal. Besides, the pencil was less messy than the stick of charcoal and he could redraw her in his actual sketchbook later. It's not the first time this notebook was used instead of the sketchbook if the brief flipping through drawn and written pages said anything.
"...So wha' dented yer helmet?" He asked, curious. "'Cause it looked really bad on the helme', so ye best be thankin' it fer protectin' yer head when someone tried ta break it like a watermelon."

He just had to keep being charming, didn’t he? Complimenting her and her sword. Well, she was going to start shooting back.
“Careful, you keep calling a girl beautiful that often she might think you want her to waltz into your establishment again sometime.”
She grabbed a wipe and cleaned off her face and hand, before standing up and making an awkward curtesy, a force of habit from her upbringing. “A pleasure to meet you, Ardeen. My name is Morgan Faye, of the Cardiff Fayes. The sword is called Blutiren. And you can’t tell anyone that I’m Arcadia, my mother would have a heart attack and I would get arrested.”
She sat back down and took a sip of her tea, noting that he began to draw. Really, she couldn’t take her eyes off of him. Especially because he hadn’t put on another shirt.
“Some asshole getting a lucky hit in with a crowbar. A group of four dickwads thoughts they could have their way with a girl, and I stepped in to correct them. The girl got away, but after that crowbar hit they were wanting to use me as a replacement, so I threw Blutiren and got out of there to regroup. I’m planning on going to beat the shit out of them once this headache goes away. What are you drawing, hammer boy?”
Yes, she had changed the subject, but honestly what he was drawing was more interesting to her.

"And am I succeeding, sweethear'?" He asked, glancing up at her with a soft smile. "I have no qualms with ye comin' ta my shop" He teased a bit. He did wrinkle his nose in confusion at the curtesy but shrugged it off, thinking that she's being a little shit. "My mouth's shu'. Ain' no reason fer me sharin' yer shit when ye doin' good work on the streets. Jus'...be careful and maybe save a bi' off ta the side in case ye get caught. Heard the fine's big." He said, focused back on the drawing.
He frowned at the tale and made a note to check up on the woman and child shelter, to make sure they're doing okay. He didn't like the sound of these men and would gladly take Mimi or Nana to their shins. "Take it slow, love. Ye got hit on yer head and they take a while to heal. Best no' ta push yerself when it could lead you in even more danger." He pointed out.
He tilted the book, hiding it from Morgan so she couldn't see. "Drawin' somethin' that needed ta be drawn, princess. Say, why didja pick Blutiren?" He asked, trying to throw her off on what he's drawing.

"Maybe. I do enjoy being flattered." Morgan answered with a coy smile. She made a mental note to find an excuse to come back and visit later, when she wasn't being Arcadia. She noted a motorcycle in the shop, maybe she could get herself a vehicle of some sort and bring it in for some reason. She'd figure that out later. She visibly relaxed when he said he wouldn't spill the beans. The last thing she needed was her activities as Arcadia getting back to her family. Well, her family besides Lucan. Lucan already knew. Lucan helped her out with it. "I'll be careful, 'love,'" she teased. "I'm not planning on going anywhere until I'm fighting fit again." She noted that he was trying to divert her attention away from his drawing, but that just made her want to see it even more. However, she also did love showing off Blutiren. "I picked that name because that's what it is." She held out her hand, and in a flash of light Blutiren vanished from where she had leaned it against a workbench and appeared in her waiting palm. She turned it from side to side, letting it catch the light, and gave it a couple flourish spins. "It means 'Blood iron.' I spent years taking iron supplements and getting blood drawn to get enough iron to make it. It's literally a part of me." She stood up and walked over to Ardeen, ostensibly to let him look at the sword, but really it was obvious she was trying to sneak a peek at that notebook. "So, what is it exactly that needed to be drawn?" Ardeen Medraut

He smiled, proud of himself, yet soon covered that smile when he blushed at being called 'love' by her. He didn't mean to call her that, but it slipped out. Heck, he didn't really realize he did until it came out. It was a bit embarrassing, honestly, but...he liked how comfortable he was with her, so he just rolled with it.
He closed the notebook and focused more on the sword she held out towards him. "Well...the iron from blood sword is worth it. Goodness, whoever created this masterpiece is really good at their job. Beautiful, I tell ya." He breathed out, looking at the sword in awe. He blinked and looked at her, mildly confused at her question before realizing what she's asking. "Somethin' tha' needed ta be remembered for. Wha' else would I'd have drawn, azalea?" He asked, honest and blunt in his words.
"...You could guess the page, bu' you can' thumb through the pages 'n' can only guess once" He offered, holding out the closed notebook towards her. "Or ye can grab my sketchbook over on tha' table and see all my drawin's in there" He smirked. "Hope ye don' mind nude folks. Helps work out the anatomy of a person. 'Specially if it's someone importan' ye wanna draw." His smirk softened into a smile. "So wha' ye gonna do, princess?"

Morgan smirked, twirling the sword again before holding it out to him hilt first so he could take a closer look. "Careful, Hephaestus. Keep calling me beautiful and I'm liable to get a big head. The sword's a part of me, every time you compliment it, you stroke my ego too." She picked up the notebook and eyed the edge of it while holding it closed, making like she was attempting to deduce where to open it. "What was it that you felt you needed to remember so much that you needed to commit it to pencil and page, I wonder?" she mused, teasing him. She had a good sense it was probably her or Blutiren, which she only half-jokingly considered a part of herself. She held it up, thumbs on the pages, as if she was ready to open it, but then stopped and pushed it against his chest. "I'll let you keep your secrets, for now. Gives me a reason to come back later." She went back to the table, and with one hand put the frozen peas back on her still aching head, and with the other started paging through the other sketchbook he'd mentioned. "These... these are beautiful. They belong in a gallery, where most people like my siblings will pretend to appreciate art, but a few will genuinely adore it. How long have you been drawing?" She picked up a pencil on the table and picked a random page, and wrote down her name and phone number, smiling to herself. Now he'd have to go on a little scavenger hunt. She really hoped he did. She liked him, he was kind and sweet and dear god was he hot. "I've tried to draw, but I just don't have the patience for it." Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen reached out and touched the sword's blade, still in awe at the craftsmanship of the weapon. Goodness he wanted to know who forged the blade so he can ask them to make him one too. Ardeen blinked and looked at her, only to chuckle. "Well, find someone ta give it a few good knocks and it'll shrink azalea." he teased.
He smiled, a bit flustered when she looked at the notebook, only to be disappointed and a bit more red when she shoved the notebook to his chest. "...Flowers. Some beautiful flowers tha' are righ' picky an' ye' beautiful." He shrugged, lying to her. Even if the subject was being called a specific flower.
He hopped down and walked over to Morgan as she looked at the sketchbook and smirked when he saw her name and number, but didn't catch the page it was on when she turned to a random page. "I've drawn since I was little." He spoke, hands in his pockets and him hovering right behind her. If he leaned down, he could rest his head on hers, but he felt that if he did that, something would happen and someone would end up hurt. Someone meaning him. "An' I don' like showin' them off, so ye ain' gonna see them in some swanky rich gallery or some shite like tha'." he murmured next to her ear as he looked at a drawing he did a few years ago.
"...Tha's me nana, da, an' me aunties" He pointed out with a finger tapping each person of his small drawn family. He pointed to the tiny baby who seemed to be laughing at an older man's face. "Tha's me. The picture itself was taken 3 months before da died. The drawing happened on the 20th anniversary of his death...my 21st birthday. Go' really drunk tha' day and nearly cleared ou' all the liquor I was given tha' day. Nana laughed at me the nex' day on our Skype call." He chuckled, resting his chin on top of her head, feeling soft and a bit vulnerable with various emotions.

Morgan almost didn’t notice him place his chin on her head as she studied the drawing. She didn’t have pictures like this of her and her family. Every picture they had was immaculately prepared and polished, aloof expressions all around. Her family really wanted to make their name big in high society, and so they doubled down hard. This was sweet, happy, carefree. Only the joy of being with loved ones. She didn’t mind his chin on her head. “You were a cute baby. You all look so happy.” She stayed a long time on that drawing, before paging through various others, nude models, flowers, plants, animals, all of it beautiful. “How much? For the sketchbook. It’s gorgeous, and I’d like to keep it. A memento. How much do you want for it? I’ll bring a check by tomorrow, and you can name any price. That way you can find the little present I left inside it too.” Ardeen Medraut

Ardeen looked at the family drawing, feeling sort of numb at seeing the happy family. He missed his family. At least, that side of the family. His mother and the man she married can go fuck off and die for all he cares. "I was always the happies' when I'm around my aunties and my nana. Mother had no love for me or me da. She never did." He said with a quiet voice against her hair.
"An' ye know babies are always cute. It's when they get ta bra' age that they ain' so cute" He shrugged. "I be' even you were a cu' lil one, princess, even durin' the bra' years." He teased. "Bu'...yeah. I guess I was cu' lil one. Nana said I took after da and grandpapa. Said I got the Medrau' smile from them."
He watched her flipped through the pages and lazily wrap his arms around her suit-covered waist so that he could comfortably lean a bit against her. She was cold against his torso, but he didn't care when he stepped closer and rested his chin on her shoulder. He just watched her trace the thick lines on a model or run a thumb on the edge of a paint-covered page. By the looks of it, she was looking at the last six months. He had 6 years of artwork that he drew in that thick and old 500-page sketchbook that he found by some miracle in a Hobby Lobby. Did he pay for it? Fuck no. That book was stolen and he gave no shits when he learned of what they've done to people like him. It disgusted him.
There were two blank pages left and he knew that he needed to fill them before she came back. Although he did not expect her to want to buy the thing. "...Why do you wanna buy it? It's...jus' a sketchbook. I could draw ye somethin' more worthwhile than that ol' thing." He murmured, confused. "I's gonna fall apar', azalea. 'Swhy there's duct tape on the bindin'." And there was duct tape. A bisexual-colored tie-dye tape that he knew he had tucked away in his room from when he bought it 2 years ago. He was proud of his purchase because it was the last one on the shelf and his book was falling apart by the time he bought the tape.
"I know ye left yer number in it. Jus' gotta find it. Bu'...I don' think I'll be sellin' this ol' thing. No' when ye can have somethin' better and newer than this." He tapped the book where he sew and glued the pages to the binding before it was covered with duct tape. "I go' others..."
