i've always had a thing for working backwards (tagx2)

The truth was that she supposed she had been doing it backwards but not wrong. Backwards as in going about it wrong and now that she had realized that she simply wanted to do it in a nice and smooth forward motion but she could not spring it on her children just yet because it took a lot for a parent to admit that they were, well that they had done something backwards because a lot of times we wanted to replace that word with wrong but it was not wrong, it was right it was just backwards.

So for now she waited. First she had contacted Parker and then she had contacted Vivian and though she hated waiting she patiently waited for the two of them to show up as she finally stepped out on her porch and took a seat in her rocking chair. It was something about songs and numbers that always got to her as she waited still and felt the cold winter temperature smacking her in the face. She turned back around and grabbed a blanket and wrapped herself in it and put herself back in her rocking chair. "I do miss you," she said as she ran her hands across the arms of the chair and the memories flowed but they were cold, distant, and they needed a song and numbers to turn from cold and distant to warm and fulfilling.

She had never been a fan of these "surprises". It was not that she did not like surprises but when it came to Faye she was reserved plus there was a weird happiness in Faye's voice that she was not sure that she should be worried about or not but that was what she did, she always worried and helped so here she was going into another trap, er adventure of who knows what. As she drove along the road the music blared because she knew that she had to hype herself up and put herself in a good mood before she arrived.

As her head bobbed along to the song she spotted Faye up on the porch as she pulled her car into the driveway and stepped out. She turned around and grabbed her phone and ear buds so that the music could still play as she made her way up and took a seat on the steps. "What makes you think that she will show up?" She was not so sure but she hoped that she was wrong because she was worried about Vivian what with everything going on with her mother and what not. "I honestly thought that you'd do this through Micah," and that was what scared her that Faye was doing this herself but she seemingly tapped her foot along and began to hum.

She had a lot to wrap her head around but she knew that Parker and Faye could pull her through it which was the whole reason that she had no problem coming to meet with them. After a few minutes she pulled her car up and to the side and she made her way up carefully. "Hi," she said as she looked around. "This is the last type of place i expected for us to be but you know what they say beggars can not and should not be choosers or something like that anyway."

The numbers had been playing around in her head for a while and to say that they were giving her a headache that she hated would be an understatement but none the less she was doing her best to be here today and she thought that was a lot. "Anyone know exactly where we are to start with this?" It seemed like it had been forever for her but she knew that was because the time and day dragged around differently for her than it did others. Still she took a seat and spoke. "If anyone says anything about anything referencing numbers I will have a cow, but I am willing to try anything."

She was patient to a fault so when she seen Parker arrive first it was okay and she simply nodded. "One thing that I have learned about talking to Vivian is that you can not rush someone who sees numbers differently than you and I ever thought that we would." She was being careful when she spoke of her words and even more careful of what she said because this was not anything that had to do with her but she was curious in a way to see it in action.

"It looks like she arrived just when she wanted to," she said to Parker as she seen Vivian and she waved. "I am sure it will be fine and do not worry no one is joking around here. We all want the same thing or need the same thing as I like to say." She also knew that meant that she had to see her own kids soon, well not soon but sometime after this and she knew that she would get around to it. "Also when starting with something that you are trying to figure out I have found as I have gotten older that it is always wise to start at the end. You are able to keep your eye on your goal that way and then work your way around to a beginning that will be satisfactory to everyone and I like that."

She nodded when she noticed and heard Vivian and spoke. "I doubt that even Faye would be that cruel but you know one can never tell. It's good to see you Vivian we did not get to talk too much before everything with the cold but now that we can have our one on one it makes me realize that we have a lot in common which is just another reason that I am guessing that Faye had brought the both of us here." She liked that because while it was expected it was also unexpected in a way and that was always also so nice.

She pushed her hair back. "Alright Vivian first things first is how is your mom doing?" She did not know if anyone was actually going to talk about that but she knew that she wanted to so she was going to ask. Life was so uncertain and right now there was no need to beat around the bush. "I mean we all know that she was losing her memory right so I can only imagine how that bump to the head is going to effect it but I guess we will just have to sit around and see and I hear Sam is there now so that will hopefully help as far as getting answers anyway."

"The doctors said that she is fine except for her attitude and the fact that she seems to think that getting hit by a car was okay. I tried to explain to them that this is just the way that she is but they will not listen and to be honest I am glad that Sam is there to help. I know that mom will take her anger and understanding out on her but I think that once they get past that it will be okay." She had to believe in something or she thought that she might not and she knew that was bad. "As for me I am fine I just when I look at anything with numbers these headaches are trying to take over and I do not want that."

She had a few things wrong with her but nothing too bad. "Being out like this is actually something that I think is helping but don't tell anyone that I said that and yes Faye with all due respect I was wondering the same thing," she said as she finally smiled and waited. "Whatever it is I am already in." She had a feeling it was going to be more bad than good and that was right up her alley.

She shook her head and ran her hands through her hair because the truth of the matter was that the two of them gave her way too much credit. If she was younger she would have taken that and ran with it but she knew way too much now and did not want either one of them to think that she was selfish. "First of all let me say that while she might not be the Gigi that we have all come to know and love she will still be herself. We do not need to assume anything just at the end of the day do the best that we can to work with how she is when she comes out of that hospital and I do think that Sam being there will help."

She stood up as she cleared her throat. "That however is not our focus today, ladies." She needed them to understand why there were here. "Our focus is Vivian and what seems to be going on with her numbers. I just believe that she is experiencing seeing them and more than that feeling them and that her numerical precision is trying to stream line itself but she needs a little help which is where you come in at Parker. We need a bit of a melody but nothing too loud would hate to draw the attention of my neighbors."

She watched Faye stand up and she listened as she put her blonde hair back on her head. She could feel the brown roots trying to come in but she had long settled that as she got older the blonde would stay. She cleared her throat. "Way to put me on the spot there," she said as she laughed. Her music healed in smaller doses now and maybe that was what Faye was saying. "I need a minute to look over you and know what exactly it is that you are going through Vivian."

She did not want her to think that she was over looking anything but more than that she knew that she needed to be careful. "For example when I used to write music I would use notes and numbers and sounds so I know a little bit about numbers but nowhere near as much as you do and that makes me think that somewhere along the lines I can help you but I need to know exactly where it is that you feel like you need help at." She smiled. "I will hum a soft melody to help you though," she said as she began to hum. It was quite upon Faye's request and she slowly began to tap her foot as well.

She knew that what Faye was saying about Gigi was true. "I can not help but worry. That is my mother and the only parent that I have left and this is the first time that I have looked at everything and realized that she might not be the same. Do you understand how much longer the days tick on with the fact that she refuses to see anyone?" She was not being mad as she simply spoke in her regular tone but the past few days had been nothing short of hell and she needed them to understand that before she felt like she could go any further. "I get that the two of you think that you can take my mind off of it but that is just the thing I think that my mind wants to be on it."

None the less she took a seat and let the low hum of music help her as she tried to let her mind ease up and not let herself be worried. "Alright so after about two minutes of this we should go for a walk. I think that people say that no matter what is going on in nature that it can still help us and I never bought into all of that type of malarkey but hey what could it hurt at the moment right?"

"I thought that it would simply be good for us to get together. I think that we all have had to go through a lot lately and yes I am not going to make any secret about the fact that I also think that it would be good for us to explore that but I am not pointing it out persay. Everyone is differnt and things happen in their own time as they need but we have no reason to feel as if we should be rushed on anything."

It was not a hard place to be or a hard thing to concept but she actually understood why they had their ways of not knowing what she had in store though as she had gotten older she found it extremely hard to want to surprise anyone with anything. "I think the last year or two has taken it out on your mind and the days have found themselves dragging longer than anything else and that might be why your numerical perception is being how it is, though I can not say that for sure." A walk was never anything she had found she would turn down so why do such a thing now.
