"Let you lead?" It came out like a question because she did not understand this. "I am going to say this and it is going to sound disrespectful but where do you have any kind of leading experience. Your parents were good leaders but you have never done anything but allowed yourself to be lead around by my daughter which even I know is a mistake." She loved her kids but she had to be honest. "Also didn't you prefer Parker over me at one point and time?" Again just one of numerous examples of her bad taste. "Okay but know that I am doing it with so many reservations because this is my daughter that we are talking about. I mean we will never get along one hundred percent but she needs this and I am not stupid enough to know that I need to be nice to you." The thought of that left a sour taste in her mouth too but this was life now. "Keep the tail in it's place and I think that there will be absolutely no reason why you having the lead here will not work here." She still had to be stern even if she was not leading because that was just how she was. Mila Richards

She looked at her as her purple skin flushed a deep color and she looked at Faye. "Are you feeling alright?" It had to be her maturity which was still a shock but it was a strange year after all and she was going to go with it. "I think that everything that you are willing to do for her speaks volumes on how you actually feel about Ribbon. I know that the two of you hardly if ever really see eye to eye so this is going to be such a big moment for her when she knows that you did this for her."
She seen no reason to keep this from Ribbon because if anything she thought that this would bring the two of them closer. "It's been years and I am willing ot be that maybe she would be willing to give you a second chance if you just ask." Sometimes it was hard to ask because that meant that you were vulnerable and she had never known Faye to be that at least not where anyone could see it. After a few minutes she sighed. "Why is that everyone in your family has a hard time being vulnerable?" It was a true question not one that she thought was being smart.

It was a good question but the truth was that Faye did not know if she had the answer that either Mila was looking for or that would satisfy her but she thought a minute and then took a seat on the floor as she thought about her answer. "I never learned it from my parents and thus was never able to teach it to my kids so even though that is no excuse I guess you can say that is our generational curse. I know that it should not be but as hard as we try there a lot of things that are hard to break that even if we tried we would not be able to." She found it hard to believe that anyone could or would really care that much. "It's harder also the older that you get because as much as people try not to they get stuck in their ways and once that has happened too much you just kind of get stuck in your ways and I am stuck in my ways. I might be able to craft up some kind of apology though I doubt that it would mean anything but at least you have given me something to think about and that is always good." The truth was that she preferred this version of herself because she had her kids and in the end, even in her youth once they were born and started to grow up she knew that was all that mattered. Besides if you held on to what that which was dead expected of you or wanted to gravel to something that was no longer there your life became theirs and she refused to live chained to a dead memory. It was easier to let it go and start making new ones. Mila Richards

"I think if we allow ourself to always be open to change then when we get older as you keep saying that it does not have to be like that. Life can suck at any age and if it's your tragedy that you are stuck on then know that it could have been anyone. I have no idea how many people told you that when it happened but it's true. It could be my mom or anyone else but as you are the one that is left standing you need to know that it is never too late to make amends with your kids."
She wanted that for her because this was the first time that she felt like Faye not only wanted it but needed it as well too. "I am going to set it up for you and then we will do it and you will have the chance to get it off your chest and that might be the best thing for you and Ribbon anyway. I got some things that I need to say to my mom too so this will be good for the both of us." She did not expect fireworks but she did think that words and wounds could finally be settled.

She rolled her eyes because Faye did not feel like she had anything to get off of her chest because as far as she was concerned she had dealt with everything that she needed to. "Do what you need Mila but when she does not show up don't let her know that you cried after. I get what you think that you need to do but the Ribbon that you think that you know is nowhere to be found in that girl." It was true that the story should be one of love and blossoms but this was something different and a different time. "I just don't want you to get your heart broke like I did. Do not put what is damn near you all into something and then be so shocked when it does not work out. You have your own path and it is true that is crosses with Ribbons but if you insist on doing this sit down you might break both paths and i just want you to take a minute and think if that is truly worth it." Sometimes you did have to break a few eggs though. "Well is it to you?" Choice time to say the absolute least. Mila Richards

"Heartbreak is life is it not" she asked as she looked at Faye. "I just mean whatever happens from here on out is meant to be right? That is what you always said but when you are ready come find me. It's been quite a while since I have painted and it always helps me out of funks so I am going to do that. I do think that if you could work on your relationship with Ribbon first that might help her too though I would never tell you what to do Faye. I just know that no matter how much children think that they do not need their parents they always do."
She leaned over and gave her a hug. "Besides if you could do me a favor and really get her to accept pink as a color that you and I know that she likes that would be the best gift ever. I do not know how to explain it except to say that when I paint and I think of Ribbon pink always jumps out and the fact that she does not like the color because it does not come out of scales is stupid especially since she is allowed to love colors that don't come out of those scales we know she hates so much. See you soon."
