The cities most populated area. There's a lot of apartments, penthouses, and shops. City Hall is also located here.

Downtown is the older part of the city, and where you'll find mom-and-pop stores, libraries, cafe's, bistros', diners, pizza restaurants, and other businesses.

The Central part of the city. Here, you will find the Astaria Schools District. This is also where the Astaria Police HQ is located, as well as the court house, and the Astaria Fire Department. Oregon State Hospital is also located here, as well as the Aegis' HQ.

This is where Astaria's "hip" part of town is. This is where you'll find galleries, cyber cafe's, night clubs, and a variety of other places to hang out at. A community center is also located here.

Liberty Heights is the location of a lot of nice homes to raise families in, and a large park.

Uniontown is were the majority of places of higher learning are located at, such as Astaria College, Astaria Business College, Astaria Institute of Health & Technology. There are apartments and houses where the college students live off campus, and smaller restaurants, and cafe's are located here as well. There's also the Uniontown Hospital, and there's a small police station that operates here.

Located along the Pacific, there's a shipyard, piers, and a few industrial parks. Nothing else of interest...maybe for those who want to do shady business deals late at night.

Don't let the name fool you, though, it's more a haven for criminals, or people who want to hide, than your average person. The police hate going there (if they do, it's always in SWAT gear). This part of the city has the highest unemployment rates, a lot of uninsured and uneducated individuals, high crime and poverty, and not much else to do in terms of entertainment.

Astaria Research Facility is a vast series of underground research laboratories as well as surface constructions such as offices, chemical waste disposal plants, and personnel dormitories for those who work there. ARF has military contracts and is said to be conducting top-secret research into various fields, such as genetic engineering of Super Soldiers and other questionable projects.

These are the outskirts of town, areas that aren't quite part of Astaria proper, but close enough for you to still be considered "there." This includes several abandoned stone quarries, a defunct silver mine, and the Sluslaw National Forest.

This is where all event threads go. If there's a site wide event going on, the threads will usually be here unless it is a plot that progresses the plot of the site. These are events just for the fun of it, for example holiday events.
