The look that dashed across his face said boredom as he watched the young woman's mouth go but he had absolutely no idea what she was talking about nor did he care. He would throw in the occasional head nod and "mmhm" for flavor but the truth was he had not heard a single word she had said since she had approached him and said what her name was. Maybe it was because his eyes were slightly darting to the guy behind her or maybe it was just because the girl in front of him was boring. Was she nice to look at? Yes. Did some part of him find her attractive? No doubt but that was it. It actually turned him off that she seemed so bouncy and so ready to make sure that he took notice of her body. He added in another "mmhm" and a laugh that anyone who really knew him knew was fake but it seemed to please her enough. "Do you ever shut up?" he finally asked which seemed to catch her off guard as he watched her eyes go wide.
He shrugged as he got up. "Yeah didn't think so," he said as he turned to exit but apparently his words had upset some of the other customers who looked at him. He sighed because not even a whole twenty four hours in and people seemed to be upset with him. "You people really need to get out more and learn how to take a joke," he said as he tried to push past but the people began to barricade around him and he felt his blonde hair as it fell down in front of his face. He let out a sigh smelling the nicotine as it came up out of his mouth and he spoke once more. "Is it the nicotine? I know that smoking of any kind has been outlawed for a while now but trust me, I did it before I came into the building. Besides if you guys had to hear all of the blah blah coming out of her mouth then you would understand."
His mouth did not actually seem to be helping him which he did not expect anything from it at all. He sighed because normally this would be the part where he would just cause some dirt to come up, or maybe throw some ice at people but sadly for him he had gotten nothing on the power side from his father and he had always assumed that his mother was some non power who had came for a visit in Belize and just left with a baby as a souvenir. He took a good look around the room and shrugged. Even without powers he had gotten a few things from his father, pretty much everything else actually. He turned to the woman and threw a smile her way and let his charm do the talking. "Sorry," he said as he winked at her. "You know a good thrashing with words is just how I do my foreplay for the ladies right?"
The young lady let out a laugh and he put his arm out and watched as the people relaxed as he walked out with her. He did manage to toss a look back to one of the guys though and phrased the words "Call me, Dax Strife. 762.." He did not get to finish his number before the young lady turned and slapped him and said something that he did not hear because he was more than surprised as he watched her walk away. He was more than caught up in watching her walking away when he heard a noise. It took him a minute to realize that it was his phone and not his face sounding off in stings from being hit. "Got my jewelry yet?" he said as he tried to figure out just where the hell he was for it was getting dark.

She had never imagined having to grow up with so many blood siblings but being raised in Belize had helped at least until she had been told she had to make home here. She was less than satisfied with that but the ritzy neighborhood helped. She was sitting on the roof across from the store that held the type of jewelry that she thought her brother would like when she called him. "I think they might be doing inventory tonight" she said as she ran her hands through her wig. It was far from her natural color but as her father had drilled into her head even now that was the point. Still it itched and she hated it but she hated the thoughts of getting caught worse.
"Look I know this is hard for you being called Dax the dud your whole life and then being thrown here but let's not have you get into any trouble just yet." She pulled up her binoculars with one hand and laid her phone down as she pressed the button to put him on speaker. "You're now on speaker Dax so talk carefully." This jewelry store seemed to do a lot of business even in a plummeting economy. "Have you been to my apartment yet?" she said as she turned her head. Two people tonight instead of the usual one. "Tiger shit on a monkey's head I think that tonight is going to test my limits." It was not that distracting one person to get the attention of another was difficult but two at the same time. "Dax stop whatever you are doing and come to where fifth and hill street connects off the corner and look up."

"Can't at the moment. I'm honestly feeling a little more like seeing where this girl that just slapped me went." It had always been hard for him to turn down a woman because that was also something that he came by naturally. She was slightly annoying him with all the questions. "I don't want to go to your apartment that no doubt is decked out in glitter and your underwear and some guy's left over memories." Seriously in his books blondes were the easiest of the hair colors on a woman's head to bag, tag, and dispose of the next morning. If it was because they were too stupid to remember or because they just laughed everything off well no one could really say but easy was easy none the less. He started walking as he played the scene from just a few seconds back in his own head at least until he thought back to what she had said.
"Have you ever actually seen a tiger shit on a monkey, none the less a monkey's head?" If she had that was something that he wanted to see because he had never seen it and now he was curious. As gross as he was sure it was he did not blame his sister for her use of the phrase though now he was trying to imagine what would exactly bring something like that on. "Damn it Noah now you have me thinking about it." The tiger had to clearly have the advantage didn't it? Though the monkey might in a way. After walking for a few minutes he looked up right at the corner of fifth and hill. He leaned against the wall holding his phone against his ear as he spoke. "It feels so strange not being around the water. I can smell the putrid scents of people who don't take a bath on a regular basis, not to mention people who can not control the sweating that they do. It literally makes me sick and then I have to go home and scrub my body until it's so raw that sometimes it hurts to just put clothes on."
He did not care for that much either but he would spare her the details. He took one more look around and spotted how he thought she might have gotten up on the roof. "I'll call you right back," he said as he hung up before she could answer and slid the phone into his pocket. As he put his arms up and pulled himself up the outside pipe he looked left and right because he wanted to get on the correct building the first time. He reached his hand out once he was at the top and finished pulling himself up on top of the roof as he cleared his throat and pointed to her wig. "So professional of you." He was not surprised as he took a seat by her. "Can I put an order in for a necklace as well since you have yet to actually start your theft?"

She heard him but she barely paid him any attention as she shook her head no. "If you wanted a neckclace you should have specified it earlier" she said as she fixed her wig. "I am always a professional unlike you." She was happy to see him though as she straightened up her bikini straps. "This bikini is riding up my ass so I am going to make this quick." She was glad that her brother had decided to join her. "If you want that necklace you'll be joining me because trust me I can cover any mistakes that you might make."
Okay that might be a bit of a stretch but she had went on what she called practice drills with her father and this town was no different. People were no different just situations themselves. She put her leg up so she could check her shoes and turned to him. "Or sit here and do nothing up to you." She stood up and stretched because stretching was important. "So you got kicked off the island? How survivor of daddy dearest." The sarcasm was out it seemed. "Look since it's just you and I let's be honest you are better here. We are free Dax and we can make a trip back any time that we get ready but dad is so crippled it's not like when we go back he will follow."
It was harder for him than her that much she knew. She fixed her legs Indian style and turned and grabbed his face and squeezed his face kind of gently but enough she hoped to get his attention. "Listen to me and repeat. I'm a Strife and when I'm done everyone will fear me."

"You're a Strife and they will fear you," he said at first. "Fear is a big word in this place where we are no one but just to get it out the way I'm a Strife and when I'm done everyone will fear me." He believed it a little bit but he knew she believed it more. He tried to turn his face around and then finally, rudely removed her hands and stood up. It had been a while too long honestly since he had done anything like this but he was about to give it a go. He looked down and realized that the rooftop was bare with anything that he could use to throw. "Give me one second, you'll know when to follow."
He slid down carefully and felt the broken pieces beneath his shoes and leaned down and picked up a jagged piece of rock and threw it at the window. He shook his head at how it did not crack and then picked up a few more and threw them one right after the next. That made a little sound which caught the attention of the two men as they began to look around. He stepped out of the way in time because he had it..everything to pull a situation together and pull it in but no powers to make people fear him. No way to really smack them around except his words and yet he yearned for the physical torment in a way but for his entire life he had to learn to work around being a dud. He picked up a few more pieces and threw them and then stood out of the shadows. "Hey, are you open?" He felt the smirk as it crawled across his face and he looked up. "A guy could use some nice..is the word bling still?"
His time in Belize where he could escape the reality had made his language lack but not in the way of knowing sentences just in the way of knowing what were the more "hip" words when it came to slang. "I don't need much just a necklace or two," he said as he looked back at the two who were now approaching him.

Was that her cue to go into action? Hell she did not know and now Dax had came in and was trying to make conversation. She shook her head as she made sure to straighten her wig and looked down one last time. She supposed that it really was now or never and that was when she leaped into action by taking the same pole that her brother had only she came from the opposite side and grabbed one man and snapped his neck. She looked around for the other and seen that he was still held in conversation with Dax's talking. She scooted around behind the counter and grabbed a few smaller pieces of jewelry and then snuck up behind the man and Dax and jumped on the man and snapped his neck as well. Her adrenaline was on a spike as she finally spoke to her brother as the man fell over.
"What in the hell was that? You know that we were supposed to scope out the place first and then I was supposed to make a move on my own." If he had wanted to help her then he needed to express that not turn around and do the exact opposite of what he said. "You are so confusing. If you want to rob then help me rob I am not going to turn you down at all because I have no need to but if you don't have it in you then we need to get going now because I do not bail people out of jail."

"I told you that I wanted jewelry and you said that you were not going to get it for me so I am going to get me some. You are the villain so if anyone is going to jail it's you because if I take too long I plan on playing the victim. I did not touch anyone and in case you have not noticed your fingerprints will be the one over everything since you got a little grabby." His sister might have been more on the side of the bad guy but she was far from smart and he was not even going to blame it on her being blonde because he was too.
"Just keep an eye out and let me know when you hear the sirens." He had seen enough missions like this to know you usually got a minute or two before the people who could really put you into trouble showed up. He finally found a piece of jewelry that captured his eye and looked carefully over the price tag and let out a whistle. "Wow no wonder people want to steal shit. It's expensive and do you realize that I would have to work half of my life just to get one piece of this? It's not worth it especially considering that most of the time even when they say that the stones and such are real, they really are not."

"I don't know if I would say half your life but certainly more than one should." She liked nice things but she knew that it was nowhere near as much as Dax and still. "I would prefer to be on the side of the law that did not get caught if that is alright with you." It would be straight to jail and then straight to Belize for her which was a punishment far worst than death she was afraid. She walked around her ballet slippers more comfortable than she last remembered and that was when she heard the sirens.
"Get what you want and we will make do with the rest another time. The way I hear it the law enforcement super heroes or organizations or squads or whatever they call themselves do not play and I will not be one to test them today." She could escape if it were her by herself but sadly that was not the case. "Get everything or at least the most that you can stuff in your pockets and come on." She looked out the lights starting to come closer to the wig that sat on top of her head. "Now would be a good time to hurry."

He had never been one to be fascinated with lights but the sounds and the sights did seem to be one to behold as he looked over the jewelry. He wished that it were jewels but he would take what he could get as he began to stuff his pockets. "I'm taking the back door, handle what you need too." He could hear the sweet victory of escape as he darted out of the door and ducked from the camera.
It was like his father had always told him, he had everything but the powers. He had never bought into all the power hype because while his father swore that life was made easier by them Dax had always thought that it complicated them. Having to go through the process of learning and then if you aligned yourself learning along side someone and no, even from his teenage years he had known that was not for him. Still he felt a little bad having hung his sister out to dry in a way so he turned back and looked around for her. "If she gets caught I guess that would be the worse thing for me." He spotted her. "Noah grab and go and then let's get the hell out of here."

She started to cuss him out for leaving her when she heard his voice and she still started to cuss him out but the voices were louder than the sirens now and she took a few minutes to give him a look and then grabbed a few diamond rings and stepped towards him. "Letting ladies go first for once in your life?" She was being sarcastic but the truth was that she was glad that he came back for her because she was still new at this.
"Come on then" she said as she almost slipped out of her heel and tripped over it falling forward causing her wig and jewels to go all over the street and start to shine in the dark of the night. "Crap Dax I dropped my stuff." It had special value to her but she took a few minutes to get what she could. "Forget the rest of it let's get out of here and I can come back for it tomorrow." It was strange because she had always been told not to come back to the scene of a crime ever but her father had made a lot of that for her from scratch and she refused to leave it. She held onto her wig and took off running, straight into a police officer. She turned back and yelled. "Dax, Run!"
